Pioli names 22-man squad for Lecce clash: No place for Bonaventura

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has named his 22-man squad ahead of the Rossoneri’s clash with Lecce at San Siro.

Pioli was named as the new boss last week after Marco Giampaolo’s sacking, and Sunday night’s game represents his first in charge of Milan.

After four defeats in seven games to begin the season, Milan are looking to turn around what has been a difficult start and begin an ascent up the table.

Pioli has officially named his 22-man squad for the game against Lecce, with the only real surprise being that there is no place for Giacomo Bonaventura.

Below is the squad selected, as per the club’s official website.

GOALKEEPERS
A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Reina.

DEFENDERS
Conti, Duarte, Gabbia, Hernández, Musacchio, Rodríguez, Romagnoli.

MIDFIELDERS
Bennacer, Biglia, Brescianini, Çalhanoğlu, Kessie, Krunić, Paquetá.

FORWARDS
Borini, Leão, Piątek, Rebić, Suso.
