AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has declared his intention to ‘play with great intensity’ as he briefly outlined his coaching philosophy.
Pioli has been praised highly for the work he has done since becoming Rossoneri boss back in the winter of 2019, having helped develop some of the younger players and leading the squad on an incredible run in 2020 post-lockdown.
On the Instagram profile of Harmont & Blaine – the suit sponsor of AC Milan – Pioli spoke about his journey as a head coach and about how he has sculpted his style.
“At the beginning I always tried to grow, study and learn. Milan style is elegance, respect for the rules and for others. Inside this is your personality and your way of doing and being. Football is constantly evolving, you live in a different way than in the past,” he said (via MilanNews).
“It is difficult to say what will happen in the future, we coaches always want to propose something new. Those who anticipate the times arrive first at success. Everyone tries to find something to surprise their opponents. Now we play with great intensity and the player has to think faster and faster. We must try to train more and more players in this respect.”
