Pioli provides positive updates on Bennacer, Calabria, Florenzi and Ibrahimovic

Stefano Pioloi spoke to the media at his usual pre-match press conference today, as AC Milan will face Atalanta, and he had some good news. In fact, the injured players will soon be back in action.

The likes of Ismael Bennacer, Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi are currently on the sidelines with injuries. However, Pioli won’t have to wait long before all of them will be at his disposal again, as he confirmed during his press conference.

Bennacer and Calabria will return to group training on Wednesday and it remains to be seen if they will be back for Fiorentina or Spurs. Florenzi, meanwhile, should be called up for the Fiorentina game.

Finally, Pioli also confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in good condition. He took part in almost all of the training sessions this week and he could thus get a few minutes against Atalanta tomorrow. A comeback that the Swede has worked incredibly hard for.

“Ibra is getting better and better, he spent almost a full week with us. Calabria and Bennacer are not called up but I will have them in the team on Wednesday. Florenzi is better but won’t be called up, he should be back for the next match. Mike is fine, he will play tomorrow,” Pioli stated.

Mike Maignan has recovered and will start tomorrow.
