Pioli provides update on Giroud amid starting spot: “He can give us good solutions”

AC Milan will take on Spezia in less than 30 minutes and Stefano Pioli has shared some additional thoughts about the game. The Rossoneri have secured 13 points thus far and will want to continue their unbeaten run this afternoon.

Pioli’s men have done really well and it remains to be seen if they can get their revenge this afternoon, as they lost this fixture 2-0 last season. And having rested a few names mid-week, they should be in good condition to get the win.

Speaking to DAZN, as cited by MilanNews, Pioli shares some additional thoughts on the game. You can read about his thoughts on the Maldini decision here.

On Giroud…

“If I chose him from start, it is because he is doing well. He has spent two particular weeks but has recovered well. He is a player who knows how to move well both between the lines and in-depth. We hope he can give us good solutions.”

On the opponent…

“Spezia play good football. They are a dynamic, aggressive team that knows how to be proactive. We will have to be prepared to support strong opponents.”

Milan will face Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening so a win today could certainly do them well confidence-wise. Of course, it will be a lot tougher against the Spanish side but confidence will be key to get a good result from that game.
