CorSera: Pioli hoping to have Romagnoli and Ibrahimovic available for trip to Napoli

By Oliver Fisher -

Alessio Romagnoli faces a race against time to be ready for AC Milan’s crucial league game against Napoli on Sunday, a report claims.

According to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli hopes to have both Romagnoli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic with him for the trip to Naples. The centre-back went off during the cup game in midweek but cautious optimism filters out from Milanello regarding the idea he could appear at the Stadio Diego Maradano, though it is too early to judge.

Pierre Kalulu is ready to step up if Romagnoli cannot make it and he has always done well when called upon, but the captain has returned to playing at a good level in the last few games too and his experience could be decisive.

Ibra has disposed of the inflammation in the Achilles tendon and could at be present on the bench, as he is doing everything to be there on Sunday given that he has a burning desire to return to the field and help the team in their push for the title.
