AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli praised his side for being able to secure a victory that closes a ‘difficult but positive week’.
Milan continued their return to form as they recorded a third victory and clean sheet in a row in a 1-0 victory over Monza at the U-Power Stadium. Pioli spoke to the microphones of Milan TV after the game to reflect on another vital three points.
On the narrow win: “Big victory that closes a difficult but very positive week. We worked hard and we come out of this match with a good result and a good performance.
On the second half: “In the second half they changed their attitude. We suffered, but we also had two great goal chances that we weren’t able to materialise. The spirit and desire of our fans helped bring this victory home.
“The most important element is that we have worked and suffered together. We can still play better football, but that time will come.”
