Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be in line for his first start of the season as Stefano Pioli is tempted to name him in the line-up tomorrow night, a report claims.
It is well known that Giroud has been working overtime this season given Ibrahimovic was out for eight months after undergoing surgery on his knee at the conclusion of last season while Divock Origi has also had injury issues and has not hit the ground running.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic did individual work on the field yesterday meaning Giroud was used once again in attack, but in view of tomorrow’s match against Salernitana Pioli has a big temptation.
The newspaper reports that the Milan boss is considering the idea of using the Swede from the first minute against Paulo Sousa’s side in what would be his first start of the season. More will be known from today’s session on the eve of the game.
Why not, give him 60 min, and then sub if it goes wrong
