Pioli responds to Vranckx rumours and gives thoughts on Daniel Maldini’s goal vs. Inter

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has claimed that it is too early to talk about the future of Aster Vranckx amid rumours he could be bought permanently.

Pioli spoke to the reporters who gathered at Milanello for his pre-match press conference, with his comments relayed by MilanNews, and he was asked about Daniel Maldini’s goal against Spezia and the future of Vranckx.

“Honestly, I didn’t see Spezia-Inter, then I saw Daniel’s goal. I won’t comment. We’re only thinking about winning in the league, the defeat in Florence didn’t allow us to find continuity. As for Vranckx’s future is still early to determine.”

Vranckx arrived on an initial loan deal from Wolfsburg this summer and although he has shown promising signs, he has played just 153 minutes this season. Yesterday, La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) reported that Milan are seriously considering signing him on a permanent basis for €12m.

Daniel Maldini meanwhile got on the scoresheet for Spezia on Friday night as they managed to beat Inter 2-1. It was the Milan loanee’s second goal of the season, having also scored against the Rossoneri.
