The former Roma and Juventus player Miralem Pjanic believes the Max Allegri and Luka Modric combination will be perfect for AC Milan, as the head coach has wanted the midfielder for some time.
Modric was the Rossoneri’s second signing of the summer, joining shortly after Samuele Ricci was announced, but he’s currently on vacation. Having featured in the Club World Cup with Real Madrid, he needed some extra time off compared to his new teammates.

Next week, the Croatian should be at Milanello for his first training session with the team. It won’t just be an opportunity for him to get to know his new teammates, though, but also the head coach Allegri. The latter has been a huge fan for some time.
Pjanic on Modric joining Milan
Speaking to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the former Roma and Juventus midfielder Pjanic was asked about Modric’s arrival. He made it clear that the 39-year-old will make a perfect combo with Allegri.
“Max is the best at managing groups. Modric is a champion, he brings quality, experience, and calmness to the game: he’s a player Allegri has sought out and loves, they’ll be great together. A great pairing. Whether it’ll be enough for the Scudetto remains to be seen,” he stated.

Modric is like Pirlo, but the latter is better I think
The first time Allegri had this type of players, did not see it as gem. Secondly reunion with Pirlo he learnt it.
That’s how he likes it now. hahah
Can’t see him lasting 90 minutes every game but if we gets season or two of success and education to the younger members of ACM then its win win. Forza ACM⚡⚡⚡
