Player Ratings: AC Milan 0-1 Bologna – Tomori, Walker and Jovic shocking

AC Milan failed to soften the blow of an incredibly poor 2024-25 season, losing the Coppa Italia final to Bologna by the odd goal. Several players struggled to perform and the stars didn’t live up to expectations. Below are the ratings.

If you haven’t already, make sure to check out how we decide the player ratings. From the scale to what affects the rating, we have compiled everything there.

Starting XI

Maignan (6): Given the big save in the first half, on the header, he did enough to get a pass here. He was usually good with his feet too but admittedly had some dodgy moments, which pulls down his rating.

Tomori (4): He was incredibly rash throughout the game and as a result, he committed a lot of fouls, which eventually got him (rightfully) booked. I wouldn’t say he was necessarily at fault when Bologna scored, because so much went wrong collectively, but he could’ve done better then too.

Gabbia (5.5): Given the defensive collapse on Bologna’s goal, it’s hard to give the academy product a pass as well. The three-man backline seemed out of phase when it happened and he should be the one to direct the line, which failed in this case.

Pavlovic (5.5): He won back the ball a lot, it must be said, but he also lacked a bit of positional awareness on Bologna’s goal. It was better than some of the games we’ve seen recently but in a final like this, he cannot get a pass.

Jimenez (6): He started the game very well, getting forward and causing issues for Bologna. The cross that ended up at Jovic’s feet (after a save) is an example of that. Some defensive question marks, but did okay until he was subbed off.

Fofana (5): The Frenchman is supposed to be the director of this team, finding the right spaces and playing the right passes, but we saw very little of that tonight. Some silly fouls called against him but also some very justified ones.

Reijnders (5.5): For a player of his calibre, you have to add so much more to the team in a game like this. He didn’t get to the ball as he usually does, and whenever he found space, the right decisions didn’t come.

Hernandez (5): Just like with Tijjani, as a leader of this team, you have to take some responsibility and do so much more. We saw him get forward (in a good way) maybe once or twice tonight, and questions can definitely be asked about the defending on Bologna’s goal.

Pulisic (5.5): The narrative is the same for him as Reijnders and Hernandez. We need to see so much more from a creativity point of view. He did find space on both flanks in the first half but in the second, he faded. The replacement, Chukwueze, did more in his limited time.

Jovic (4.5): He missed a very big chance in the first half, even if the ball came quickly to him, and he had to do a lot better there. His link-up play wasn’t good enough either today, rendering his presence pretty much useless. The Coppa Italia brace seems like a distant memory.

Leao (5.5): The winger was behind pretty much everything that Milan created in the first half, one way or another. Given the final result, though, we have to be harsh and say that his final passes weren’t quite right. Add the fact that he had a pretty bleak second half to the equation and the rating seems fair.

Substitutes

Gimenez (5.5): Didn’t have much of an impact, let’s be honest, and he ended up wide at the end (where we definitely don’t want him, he can’t dribble in that way).

Walker (4): A shocker from someone who’s supposed to be very experienced. Very poor decisions in attack, not crossing when needed and not following through with his runs, plus some really bad passing overall.

Joao Felix (5.5): Like Gimenez, we saw some sparks of something but ultimately, he didn’t add much to the game.

Abraham (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.

Chukwueze (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating. Note: He did come on and give Milan some hope, so perhaps he should have deserved a 6.

  1. We played like a bunch of cowards, disgusting. Rejinders where were you? Pulisic? Gabbia terrible. Creds to fofana leao and jovic for wanting to win (also chuku). Forza Milan we will come back❤️🖤

      1. Leao has 2-3 people on him the whole time. He created some of the “only” chances we had. Fofana had to play for him and rejinders cuz rejinders was no where to be found. He also won a lot of balle back.

          1. 100%. It’s not 2-3 on him, he dribbles into 2-3. In fact, our entire attack consisted of individuals trying to dribble 2-3 and score themselves, as it often does. They were all guilty of it this game.

        1. Bologna deserve the win they sacrifice everything for the match Even sacrificing their blood on the pitch when I saw that injury from Ferguson I knew it’s over for Milan kudos to bologna atlist after 51 years maybe next year we’ll bounce back

    1. Agreed. Leao looked lively. He was fresh. Pulisic wasn’t. We played him for a whole 90 minutes in a largely meaningless game just 3 days ago and then wonder why he looked tired tonight. Could have saved him and use Chuck who barely plays. And also rest Reinjders. Puli also had 2-3 players on him but he’s not Leao who can beat 3 players in one go but the way we play..so individually… Bologna knew we use solo wing play and was easy to defend. And then he was clearly tired. Smh 🤦‍♂️

      1. Leao looks lively as he only runs on the pitch for max. 25% of the time – and got an extra rest due to the idiotic yellow earlier.

  2. Even I am feeling sad for this Milan. It is a bit surprising that a team in the final does not have a plan on how to play.

  3. Tomori didn’t do worse than Gabbia or Pavlovic. He wasn’t responsible for the goal conceded. Gabbia header under zero pressure, leading to a Bologna corner was a momentum swinger.

  4. This is disgrace!!
I’m a fan of Milan for 20 years,
    Today I had enough,
I had more suffer than joy.
Today, sadly I’m stopping watching Milan.

    1. I just watched the footage.
      Very poor from Conceicao.
Calabria tries to brush it off by patting him on the back.

    2. I’m honestly not surprised. Calabria is an actual professional, and clearly Sergio couldn’t handle the fact the guy who he tossed away to make room for useless Walker came back to haunt him and go on to outperform his team. Ego bruised

  5. I have always found our pressing off the ball so absurd and more annoying is we don’t press and before you can blink the attack and midfield is bypassed and the defense is on the back foot and it can take about 30-40sec before the attacking and midfield players recover, and the funny thing is they are recovering from not pressing.

For this team to move forward it’s a must to sell both Thoe and Leoa these guys play so casually without any atom of care.

And finally I think Conceciao isn’t the right man for the job,cus he can’t trust the players on the bench, why does Reindjers have to play 90mins every freaking game since the season started and the dude is gassed up, little wonder the other youth players are queuing to leave.
Pavlovic has been awful for some games now, and we have a Bartesaghi on the bench and the young lad has proven he can play.

This team needs a rest with this coach gone, Leao and Theo gone, add Tomori, RLC to the list. It was a fluke all along and the jinx has been shattered.

  6. Even if we won, I still wouldn’t want this coach to continue. I’m not a fairweathered fan, I’m just someone who wants to see us play good football and we don’t seem to do that under this coach. Seriously it was Bologna not Barcelona. How were they able to press us for the whole 90 minutes and limit us to back passes? Also I think the defeat is a blessing in disguise cuz if we had won then the management would have no reason to reflect on what a Terrible season this has been. I mean two trophies looks like a successful season. I just hope they choose their next coach wisely

    1. And also… Bologna had tactics. The players knew how they were supposed to act when defending and attacking. Milan were only relying on individual “magic” which was missing completely. There is no team play in Milan. Only individuals doing individual stuff.

  7. I don’t blame one or two player for just a single goal. But telling the truth the whole player seems lost their mind on how to play a game as a team.

But again, there is no point of playing the rest of fixture.

This year finished at middle table is the smart goal.

    1. with this owners red turd and elliott, and clowns acting as management there’s no future for this club. midtable mediocrity, is where they belong. done with them. life’s too short

  8. i hope with this result, the club’s current owners couldn’t pay their debts, and put the club up for sale.
at least the new owners won’t be worse than this ones.
and even if it’s worse, we’ll say we’ve been there before

  9. They played bad. Not one person gets a pass as the team was collectively bad. Biggest mistake in my opinion was bringing on Felix instead of Chuk. Put Pulisic in the middle or as the second striker. Felix is horrible and I have no idea why he keeps playing.

  10. Conceicao put all in defence to not concede the goal.

What happened is opposite. Because opponent had ball much in their possession.

Instead of attacking game, Conceicao went back….

Then he bring Joao Felix. Player for Serbian second division.

Jimenez should be benched after that mistake in first half. And bring Ruben Loftus.

Conceicao is idio*o, just like some other coaches before him, bit Fonseca and Conceicao with RedIdio*os, managed to lose all games except some small games.

    Geyre Cardinale seconds year…

  11. Reminded me of watching England play – all full of energy and creating chances for the first 10 minutes and then running out of ideas minute 11… Bit harsh on Jovic and Fofana I think here – Reijnders and the whole defence were the worst tonight imo… I’m not saying the midfield or the attack were good but this whole defence can get transferred as far as I’m concerned…

    1. The back line was shockingly back. I’d replace all of them in the summer. The only CB that plays well out of the back is Thiaw and he’s been benched. I just don’t get it.

      1. You didn’t see Thiaw’s performance in his last match, now did you? He’s on the bench because that’s his place in this team. He’s the worst of the CBs we have.

  12. Agree about Walker, looked like he was sabotaging us. Ciao

    The team has been trashed.
    The manager is terrible.

Now the owners look to plan B, sell the assets

  13. Absolute bottle job.

The season wasn’t ‘saved’ tonight, it was embodied.

Good!!! It didn’t deserve to be saved. No bit of tin for the board to point at to excuse their utter cluelessness now.

Sergio out. Can’t set up a team for a cup final. Go tomorrow.

    1. “The season wasn’t ‘saved’ tonight, it was embodied.”

Brilliant and accurate turn of phrase. Couldn’t agree more.

Minute 80 we are slowly passing the ball around in our won half. No aggression. No urgency. No plan. No surprise.

Sarge is a private investigator disguise.

  14. Congratulations to Bologna and Italiano, they absolutely deserved it. They played better and wanted way more than Milan. All of their players ran like crazy, swarming like bees wherever the ball was. Very impressive to see.
On the other side, Milan did absolutely nothing.
No plan, no idea what to do.
BTW some of these ratings raise the question if we actually watched the same game.
Fofana rating being lower than Reijnders? Fofana was the only 1 trying. He missed few passes but recovered so many balls. Reijnders did nothing.
And how did Leao got a higher rating than Jovic. What did Leao do? Outside of the first 5 minutes, he couldn’t even beat his man in 1v1 the rest of the game. Jovic did much more than Gimenez, but he got 4.5.
When it comes to Tomori. He and any player in the future, should be fined for stopping and raising their hand asking for offside while the play is still going. He could have intercepted the ball to Ndoye if he wasn’t busy asking for offside. Every goal is checked by VAR, why are you raising your hand?
When it comes to Conceição. His constant insistence to play Joao Felix and keep Leao on the pitch should get him fired in 2 weeks. Chukwueze did more in 5 minutes than Leao, Pulisic did in 95, or Felix in 35 minutes but he only gets 5 minutes. Leao should have been the first subbed, but he got to play the entire game.
Hire a proper sporting director and make any player available for transfer, especially the average players who people call superstars. Milan needs hungry players who want to win.

    1. Agree the Jovic rating is way off.
      He was not the problem.
If he makes that reflex goal strike and be instead gets a 7.

    2. “Hire a proper sporting director…”
Considering what has been reported so far, I’m not getting my hopes too high on this one.

    3. Spot on. Castro was running around like a lunatic while we’re acting like it’s a kick around on the beach. I don’t understand how we weren’t as fired up as Bologna for this game (outside the opening 10 min)… I also think Sergio messed up by trying the same “lets’ throw on Gimenez and Felix in the second half” tactic as he did in the league game. It was never going to happen twice in a row…

    4. Puli is always the first attacking player subbed off despite being the Milan player who creates the most chances and contributes to the most goals. Often times for Felix to come on, who does nothing. Make it make sense.

  15. To my recollection and historically speaking Bologna is the 5th or 6th most winning Italian teams ever in Serie A and who hadn’t won anything of meaning for half a century so a BIG congratulation to them and a well deserved win it was.

When that is said were we really thinking that how we played was a way to win, the last 10-15 minutes of the match we kept playing back and forth to either Maignan or other defenders when we clearly had to play more directly we stayed behind on our own side of the field looking for one small chance while the time ran out.

In the end Bologna will enjoy the win more than if we had won it so kudos to them and so be it.

HUGE bust of a season that has been dismantled by the management, players and coaches and this will only mildly be saved if a miracle occurs in Serie A but even then that wouldn’t be fair to our opponents.

  16. Conceicao answer to having no shots on target in 2nd half was to add attackers, when the midfield coul’dnt get them the ball. Partly his fault and partly we have no good midfielders to bring on. When RLC and Musah are your options you’re f-cked

    1. Sort of agree. We had the wrong shape. We had nobody who could fork play on the midfield. Say what you will about Musah, but he is an excellent #8. In this game we needed that control of the ball. The double pivot was wrong for the way Bologna defend.

  17. You mean playing terribly, falling behind every match and then trying to mount a desperate comeback is not a sustainable winning strategy..? Shocking. Who could have predicted that?

Where are these ridiculous people who want to bring Conceicao back? The worst coach I’ve ever seen. How do you get the tactics wrong in every single match? If he wasn’t the luckiest son of a b!tch in the world Milan would’ve won about 2 matches that he’s coached. That’s about all I can think of where we actually played better than the other team since he’s been here. If losing this game means he won’t be back next season it was well worth it.

I can no longer defend Leao. He’s just not a serious person. I don’t care that he doesn’t track back and play defense at all. But his carelessness with the ball is just too much to deal with. This is a final, playing for a trophy and he plays as if it’s a Sunday in the park with some friends. Not a care in the world, trying stupid tricks. Would rather try and dribble 2 and 3 guys rather than make the simple pass to an open teammate.
We need a rebuild. Sell Leao, bring in Lookman. Sell Theo, bring in any LB that wants to play a little defense. That’s a good start. You mean playing terribly, falling behind every match and then trying to mount a desperate comeback is not a sustainable winning strategy..? Shocking. Who could have predicted that?

  18. It would have been nice to win but it wouldn’t have saved the season. Some of the players tried but like most people here point out, this is a poorly constructed team that doesn’t function as a unit because the squad is imbalanced and the environment is toxic. The ownership and management are to blame. They spent 250 million with no plan in mind apart from, as Boban put it, to “De-Maldini-ise or ‘De-Massara-ise Milan”. It has been sad to see some fans and the media brush aside the sacking of the previous management, the sale of Tonali, and turn on players that delivered for the club like Krunic, Bennacer, Calabria, Leao, Theo, Mike while simultaneously giving passes to the new signings. Anyways, changes need to happen at the top before decisions on the coach and players are made. Let’s hope for the best in the next few games.

  19. No words really. No desire, no plan, midfield (except Fofana) non existent, Leao not interested as usual… Most of these players do not deserve to wear this shirt and I really hope they get shipped off far away.

  20. “Thank you Redbird. Thank you Zlatan. Thank you Concaceio”

    Oh Wait! Wrong final 🤭

Was a good game for the neutrals but on the night I think Bologna edged it. They way they setup their defence we had no choice but to pass it around at the back which was telling. We should have scored that chance on the goal line but that’s football sometimes.
Welp no Europe, wonder how those summer plans for a shape up. When management has no plan and poor squad construction, this is what happens. They are really “not in football”. Just a bunch of people who think they are.

    1. You’re right, no one is interested in the club. It’s being run as a business, make profit and it’s good. All management need to resign and owners to sell. Players not interested when they know they will be sold to compensate for UCL.

    2. It was so frustrating to watch us pitching hopeful balls into the air, dribbling non-stop, stroking the ball around the back with 10 min to go… In a way it’s probably good that we lost. Now management have to act. How they’ll act is another matter ofc…

  21. We can start talking about who will leave this summer without Europe. Reijnders, Leao and Theo won`t be here after the summer. I will be suprised if Maignan will stay as well.

    1. In Theo’s case, I sincerely HOPE he won’t be here after the summer. It was painful watching him this season. Clearly distracted and uninterested. He was never the same after Paolo left. Even tonight he was covering the offside while also failing to contribute in any meaningful way going forward.

  22. Hang on… You’re giving Fofana one of the lowest scores? He was arguably our only decent performer on the pitch along with maybe Maignan, he was nomination for the overall MOTM – it’s not his fault that nothing stuck further up the pitch and he had to make recovery after recovery… Sorry, I don’t understand that one at all.

  23. Actually Jovic played very well today, he was everywhere, even in defense, had a several good runs, kept the possesion and had a great chance which didnt ended as a goal just because of huge luck for Bologna. At least 8 players were worse than him today, and all the subs too. Why blame him and mark him with worst grade when even all sports scores sites gave him much better grade than they graded other players? We had much less control in forward department when he was replaced and zero chances after. What was he supposed to do when he was not given a single good ball? I feel that even if he took the ball from Maignan, dribbled all players and scored goal they would just say he was lucky. I mean, give the guy credit when he is good, blame him when he makes a mistake, but today he was in top 3 or 4 players of our team which is far from the worst for gods sake.

  24. Don’t even know what to say anymore. It ended for us after Jovic’s Sheva-in-Istanbul-esque miss. Wrong tactical setup, horrible individual performances with the possible exception of Fofana and Gabbia. We argued during random Serie A games all season long as to whether the team has a winning spirit which should be transmitted by BOTH coach and management. Well, there’s your answer – a souless performance in an actual final. That’s what you get with anti-football clown managing the club. It’s even boring to point this out anymore. We all know they won’t hire a sporting director, nor do they care even the slightest about this game. First in attendance – checked. Horrible shirts marketing – checked. Moving on.
The only real disappointment were Puli and Reijnders. Nowhere to be seen as a result of a tiring season both physically and mentally.
Btw, talk about incompetence – Pavlovic, Royal, Morata, Walker, Felix, Abraham, Bondo, Sotil, Gimenez. It’s almost hard to comprehend these were brought in the last ten months. How does one achieve something like that? Seriously, give this task to a person who only wishes us evil and he will absolutely come second to the Moncada-Furlani-Zlatan comedy trio.
The only positive is we are approaching the 2-month rest from this agony. Boy, we deserve it.

    1. Not “a” but “the” but we have been so for the most of this season and we can largely thank ourselves or at least the ownership/management/coaches + players attitudes all year long.

    1. Inter won.

Milan destroyed themselves trying to beat Inter – and nobody else.

It was probably have been easier just to wait for the tables to turn as they inevitably would’ve eventually.

  25. Jovic was the best of the front three, the only solution we had to get out of the press. After he was subbed, we created nothing.

  26. Y’all were really expecting the screaming, kitchen sink throwing long ball specialist to do something good with this team ?? lol. Conceicao is the most clueless, tactics-less coach I’ve ever seen! After what Chuk did in the last game, he should have atleast come in to start the second half but no! This coach prefers players that can play long ball. Not those that can actually work with their feet and the ball on the ground.

Such a sad style of football I’ve watched from January this year. SMH

    1. 100% correct. The coach wants them to play long balls and then puts in Geminez who relies on service into the box. I totally agree on Chuk, he should have played from the start!

  27. The whole team was bad except Mike, he did well in the goal and distributed the ball nicely. I think he got more touches today than our midfield and forwards combined.

Pavlovich makes me nervous, he is unstable and often out of position. Gabbia only knows how to pass the ball back to the keeper and Tomori is a nightmare. Theo invisible.

Fofana was injured recently and shouldn’t have played from the start. Same with Jeminez – why didn’t Chuk play from the start instead after having a really good game last week? Reijnders was poor but to his excuse, no one was making any runs or opening up so he could pass the ball to them and was forced to just play it back to the defenders or the keeper.

Overall, the coach is responsible for this mess. If your plan is to defend and the send a long ball, you should play Abraham who is speedy. Why wait till 5 left to put him in? Why even bother putting Geminez in knowing he is a box forward and relies on the service which there was none today. It was a wrong substitution. I am not even going to mention putting Felix in – what was the point? He did nothing all season and is leaving. Same with Walker.

What a mess. We need a coach like Italiano but I doubt he would want to coach this bunch of lazy underachievers.

  28. To make a comment about today and this season, total disgrace. The pressing off the ball is horrible and it’s just not working, ever. Tonight just sums up the whole season, which was a massive failure. Cant say that bologna don’t deserve it. They’ve been great all year and played better. Milan on the other hand show no heart.

To the future. It’s time, nobody in my eyes is safe. Total revamp. New management, new coach, new players. The only players I’d have an issue with leaving are reijnders and maignan. Everybody else for the right money can go. For January loans I wouldn’t redeem a single player. Walker looked promising the first couple of games but that’s probably because we were used to emerson but there is no way I would offer him a long term contract. He’s way past it.
Reijnders, maignan, fofana, gimenezand maybe leao are probably the ones id expect to stay from next season but they better do something and bring in a real director because this is pathetic.

    1. How can you leave Pulisic off that list? He’s been the best player over the past two years. They should rebuild around him and Reijnders if either of them stay.

  29. this is what we saw all the time, team couldn’t handle high pressure, all players seem affraid to receive the ball. everytime opponent try to press a player, the teammates suddenly gone. and force the ball to a long ball. this is happen all the time. the winning game against Genoa is the proof, we we’re just lucky in that game

  30. Well done Calabria and Pobega.

    You deserve it.

This Milan team deserves nothing because of the way they treated the people – the legends – who got them to where they were.

A club that shows no respect to its history is not a club. It’s an empty brand, an investment.vehicle for laundering money and tax write offs.

I’m still undecided what would it take for me to return.

I’d say a change of ownership but that might mean freezing myself out for a few more seasons.

New coach, new director of sport, some vague identity and connection to the city and country that Milan is supposed to be part of.

I don’t even know anymore. It’s felt pretty empty for the past few months.

    1. “I don’t even know anymore. It’s felt pretty empty for the past few months.”

Sounds like even your imaginary buddies have left the building.

      1. It sounds like it’s been thrilling watching a mid-tier club each week and complaining about them for the rest.

    2. If by legends you mean Maldini sure but definitely not Calabria or Pobega even when I wouldn’t have minded keeping both in some capacity in the club.

      1. Calabria lead the side to a Scudetto.

The total lack of respect is just disgraceful.

What is the point of any of you even watching football (let alone pretending to support a club)?

You don’t care about any of the people who play for the club.

        It’s pointless.

        1. As I said I would have liked to keep him in some capacity but winning a scudetto doesn’t make you a legend that’s my entire point. No disrespect here but legends include Maldini, Baresi, Van Basten, Rivera and Nordahl etc not ANY of our current or recent players Ibra included deserves that sort praise.
Icons sure but legends HELL NO.

          1. I won’t even call them icons.
Icons are reserved for those first group of names you called.

I would call ibra ND the rest Milan scudetto heroes. And that’s that.

The term legends gets abused anyhow these days🤦‍♂️

          2. I definitely think that the 5 former players I mentioned is club legends but I get the gist of what you are saying and I can certainly accept that players like Calabria and Ibra only should be mentioned as scudetto heroes.

The term legend is nevertheless tossed around frequently when it has no valid point to be used.

    3. Just to point out, besides sealemeakers, all of our loanes are sitting on the bench.
The mighty calabria, the best defender that should be praised is sitting on the bench whole spring. Another example is Adli, the playmaker that we should have never let leave because he would make the difference and have 15 assists in the season is also most of the time, gues where, on the bench.

      1. You still seem to completely miss the point of why after 40 years I’ve stopped supporting this club.

There are numerous reasons and it’s got very little to do with them being in 8th place. I stood by them when they were 11th.

How can you stand by a club that treats its players – the players that you used to support – this way?

What kind of loyalty are you showing the players who delivered you joy and success?

Milan will never become a club again – forget about ‘greatness’, just a club defined as ‘an organization of people with a common purpose or interest, who meet regularly and take part in shared activities’ – until fans start respecting the members of that club.

Because it is the fans who have supported directly and indirectly most of these decisions.

Calabria’s dismissal should have lead to protests.

Instead the fans protest because they’re disappointed with the transfer window.

    4. “I’m still undecided what would it take for me to return.” Don’t forget selling Reijnders, who you once called our worst player. Your wish might come true when that garbage player moves to garbage City to play for all time garbage manager Guardiola for an 80M pittance.

  31. Lossing it’s natural when you’re all give 100 % fight until last minute. Bring more Italian and change all the director and advisor. This red bird management is bullsh*t

  32. You fools have not learnt anything, you should be on your knees begging leao, theo and mike not to leave, instead hope for a coach like conte to come and this guy’s will give you word class performance next season, the lukaku effect

    1. Facts. Player like Felix and emerson will replace them, just like these two idiots replace Pioli. You don’t miss the water till the well run dry.

  33. This is what happens when you play a Leão centric offense. Other players’ talents are neutralized. If they could get 70 ml for Leão take it. Strengthen the midfield and central defense. Keep Chuck and pick up another winger as a backup. Let Tammy go and get a powerful back up striker- someone like Giroud.

    1. Sell Leao, Reinjders, Theo, Fik, Thiaw, Pavlovic, Chuk, RLC and EmersoB, and who Will we buy after those sellings? Lewa, Mbappe, V.V.D, Orsolini, Berardi, also Ricci and Casadei.

  34. Just realized this formation is beaten by bologna’s 4-2-3-1 the same like pioli’s maybe they should have reset this thing up.

    1. Yep. Took coach most of his time at Milan to arrive at a formation that will work most of the time for this team. Key words: most of the time. Once he arrived at thr formation that started working he forgot that individual games require individual consideration of formation and tactics. Even youth coaches know this.

  35. Furlani : wow we can save more money because 2 foreign coach accept contract 1 years ( sergio only 6 month contract), we dont need to pay them more if we sacked them. But this stupid clown missing 50m euro money from CL participation because want to save coach salary, also enjoy your player dropped value now, you cannot sell them high anymore due to bad result this season. Elliot & his puppet RB must out from ACM, Furlani the disaster are elliot worker so must get elliot first before can sack furlani

  36. Get Sarri…the team plays ugly. Go get Sarri…and if anybody says change the players let’s point to the quality of material teams like Como, Genoa, Bologna, Parma have and compare that with the quality Milan has. What is the difference, a coach with ideas, strategy, plans, a style of play, an identity….there is your answer. All these teams ran rings around us. Simply because the coach set them up in a way to press the living daylights out of us. Something we don’t have and cannot handle. If you can’t press you beter have exceptional transition players like Inter. Barca has both (press and transition) and that served them well given that half that team come from La Masia…change the coach and don’t just replace him with anybody. Get somebody with clear ideas, a philosophy…and you don’t have to clean up house with the personnel you have

  37. The embodiment of our season. I dont know what summed it up better. Felix and Walker being the first subs to come one and doing literally nothing positive (as literally anyone in the stands could’ve told you they would), not playing 2 strikers until the 88th minute, or Conceicao literally refusing ti shake Calabrias hand at the end if the match because he was so insecure that the guy who yelled at and cast out of the club came back to bite him in his dumbazz. Take your pick

  38. Big congrats to Bologna, Calabria and Pobega.

Won’t lose words over AC Milan. Boban already explained everything there’s to know about Milan under RedBird.

  39. Jovic isn’t a starter. Walker and Felix have played themselves out of a contract. It looks like it’s going to be hard to keep hold of Reijnders.

A lot of money has been wasted over the past 2 years. Redbird know they only have 12 months to get things right.

    Congratulations to Bologna and Italiano.

  40. Boban not working under RedBird, it is elliot that sacking boban. RB are just a puppet for elliot, even if you get rid the puppet, another puppet american will coming replace. Nothing will change as long as elliot control ACM, dont forget furlani that sacking paolo maldini are elliot worker

  41. Milan are finishing the season how they started it. Losing and be being outplayed by collective team units with inferior players.
What was built has been lost and even mid table teams have outplayed, out hustled, and outmanoeuvred the team all season.
Everything has been laid bare for all to see and the management must take responsibility for fostering the environment that brought Milan to this point. It’s anyone’s guess where we go from here with Redbird.

  42. Milan will keep struggling until they realize that childish lazy not that good players like Theo and Leao are not meant to be considered stars of a top club like ours.

  43. Get a sporting director and Roberto Mancini or Rdz in the summer. Sell sell and sell the guys playing on the left side!!!!

  44. The small silver lining is that this dispels any doubts about Conceicao’s future. I have no confidence in management making a better appointment, but Conceicao isn’t the right man for us, and now that’s plain to see.

  45. Lol where is transfer analyst writing here. Always give 7-9. What Walker has fixed the chronic right back problem. No. Walker left Man City because he sucks, he has declined a lot. In the end, Milan ends up with useless supercoppa and wins over inter.

  46. Boban said it, the culture is coming from the top down! The current management is anti-milanisti . They don’t want fans, they want customers. They view players as assets. How can a team be built if any and every player can be sold for a price? What is the point of paying a Sporting director when the algorithm can tell them who to buy?
