AC Milan clinched all three points against Roma after a strong response to the away side’s initial dominance. Three players stood out, even if many did well, and below are the ratings for the Rossoneri.

Starting XI
Maignan (8): Finally! It was a long-awaited penalty save for Magic Mike and he certainly picked the right moment. He also acted as a true captain throughout the game, encouraging Bartesaghi on several occasions while also protecting him. He could have done better with his feet a few times, but who cares about that now…
De Winter (6): He had one dodgy moment in the first half, completely mistiming a ball, but he improved after that and did enough in the end. The main thing that saves his rating is that he actually improved in possession too as the game went on.
Gabbia (7.5): He fights, fights and fights. This game is a perfect example of why Allegri has entrusted him with the role in the centre. In the aerial duels, he’s very hard to beat and the positioning is almost always brilliant. He can potentially be bolder in the build-up, but defensively, there can be no complaints.
Pavlovic (8): Pure grinta. As with Gabbia, his main strengths were certainly highlighted today as he was able to engage in many duels, while also having space to run into at the other end. It was a tidy finish on the goal as well, it must be said, and the run was just fantastic. He could definitely have been the MOTM, but let me explain later.
Saelemaekers (7.5): In the first half, especially when towards the centre, his ability to stay in possession with some trickery was absolutely crucial for Milan. He was also involved in the build-up for the goal. In the second half, he continued to shine on the ball and, above all, frustrated Roma with his celebrations and duels.
Fofana (5): As Ibrahimovic once said to Calhanoglu, “I don’t f*ng understand you”. He runs and runs, but the end product and decision-making are baffling most of the time. He was clumsy in defence throughout the game, as seen on the penalty and free-kick call, and he missed a big chance in the first half to double the lead.
Sure, there were positive mentions from him as well, and the work-rate is important, but the way he acted on the free-kick and penalty was just ridiculous. It very well could have cost Milan the game and the inconsistency is getting really frustrating.
Modric (6.5): It wasn’t the best of starts to the game for him, often blocked out by Roma and with a lack of precision in his passing. Having said that, he did improve as the game went on by tonight, it was perhaps more so a case of opening up space for his teammates.
Ricci (6.5): Once again, he was one of the players who covered the most ground for Milan (if not the most). Today’s performance was also a step up in terms of involvement in possession, with some good runs on the left. Still, like Modric, there wasn’t loads that stood out.
Bartesaghi (5.5): While I would like to say that he redeemed himself in the final 50 minutes of the game, with the near-assist for Fofana above all, I cannot turn a blind eye to the majority of the first half. Indeed, he lost possessions several times and also had some very dangerous passes. To tell the truth, Roma should have done better at capitalising on that.
Nkunku (6): At the start of the game, the Frenchman was rather quiet so many of us were fearing another timid display. However, he certainly grew into the game and all things considered, he combined well with his teammates just about enough times to get a pass here.
Leao (8 – MOTM): For me, when a player steps up and does that in such a difficult situation, the MOTM award is pretty much a given. Milan were dead in the water after the first 38-39 minutes and the No.10’s great run changed everything. This is what everyone means when they say he can decide games on his own.
Substitutes
Loftus-Cheek (N/A): I didn’t see enough to give him a rating, as the substitution only took place with about 6 minutes to go.
Athekame (N/A): I didn’t see enough to give him a rating
Tomori (N/A): I didn’t see enough to give him a rating.
The manager
Allegri (7): Milan struggled big time at the start of the game, but it was largely due to poor individual efforts. Or perhaps not largely, but the point is that Milan made life difficult for themselves. Then, Allegri changed a few things, such as Saelemaekers moving into the centre, and the Rossoneri improved. He also did well to wait with the subs, in my opinion.

It can be clearly seen how Leao does well on the wing, his natural position. Without his outburst runnings and crosses, milan will struggle for no one else does better than he. In his natural position, the opposing defenders focus too much on him that his other teammates get themselves free for opportunities to score. He is clearly not a striker, something Allegri should consider.

i disagree 100% . leao should of got a 8.5 , he got fouled so many times that werent awared and still won a decent amount of foulds, nkunku didnt recieve enough balls attacking , the ones he did get were overhit or unclear it would arriveto him.allegri definitely did something in the changing rooms considering we got 10 shots compared to 6 shots in seccond half and frankly dominated 2nd half

We won despite Nkunku and Fofana.
Nkunku is still adjusting and showed some promising signs. Fofana has ran out of excuses- he looks every bit a €12m player. When Radiot is back, Ricci should keep his place and Fofana should be dropped.
Nkunku I can kind of give a pass to as he’s still taking his sweet time getting fit.. Fofana’s been here for a while now and I still have no idea what’s going on in his head half the time…
It’s not him taking his sweet time, it is that the team isn’t suited to him. Alegri got tactics wrong today and it is evident that if we are going to play this style of game then we need a striker that is capable of holdup play like what lukaku did for Napoli and inter. The game changed when leao got more wide and Alexis spread out so we had speed on counter. The 2-5-3 isn’t the formation best for Milan we need better wing play since the team don’t have a traditional striker

Pavlovic was class. Incredible defender who looks totally different under Allegri. I always defended him and I’m glad I did.
And De Winter while a bit clumsy at first vastly improved as time went on. As long as he plays consistently, I think he too can become more solid.
Keeping in mind De Winters age I think he looks pretty good but will be happy to see Tomori back
Yea it was a toss up between Leao, Mike or even Pack for MOTM. But I’d give it to Leao as well. He was basically our only creative outlet entire game.
But man NOfana to get a 5 is 4 points too generous. And i’d give him a rating of 1 because he was on the field and was breathing in air. He CAUSED the pen and missed one clear goal and another half-clear chance.. nearly got sent off for other protests, rash in tackles. But somehow he’s half a point less than Barts, who btw I thought did very well in the second half.

We were a bit lucky that we faced the other serie A team who doesn’t have a functional striker, in a night where the only time Dybala aimed between the crossbar and post, Maignan saved it. But we were also the better team during most of the second half and overall during the game, since we scored the only goal.
Maignan: a candidate for MOTM since he saved a penalty that would have costed us the win.
De Winter: he was terrible and shaky during the first part of the first half, but then I didn’t really see him doing mistakes. But clearly our weakest CB. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait until “winter” for him to step up his game.
Gabbia: overall solid as usual.
Pavlović: by far our best CB tonight, thanks to his speed and his ability to drive the ball forward.
Bartesaghi: crumbles too easily under pressure. Didn’t really like his game tonight.
Saelemakers: Has some issues with his passing, but overall fantastic dribbler. He was able to drive the ball forward so often even under pressure and was a real poison to Wesley and forced a yellow.
Modrić: a bit better than against Atalanta and could have gotten an assist, but still a bit far from his earlier great form this season.
Ricci: He sometimes slows down too much only to pass to the nearest player, but I didn’t dislike his performance. Funnily enough, the goal came when he decided to actually pass forward.
Fofana: 2 missed chances, caused a freekick THEN a penalty. Gasperini couldn’t have dreamed of a better double agent. But that aside, defensively he wasn’t that bad.
Leão: Say what you want, a healthy Leão this season is the only reason we didn’t draw/lose all of our games since Pulišić was injured. Sometimes during the game, he was the only one able to make something happen, and DID make something happen. Let’s hope he isn’t too badly injured.
Nkunku: He who plays as a striker with Milan will be curesed to become the void: no goals, no assists, no contributions.
Thanks to this win, we’re still in race for the scudetto and can recover most of our squad for the next game.
I would have liked to see Estupiñán and Jashari getting some minutes to get them ready for the next game.
If leao hit that byline more often we be cleaning up. As soon as he picks tgat ball up that’s my first thought, please attack that zone and burn the right back to bits but that’s why when he cuts in and tries to dink one in it’s so frustrating because by far this is when he’s most dangerous. He played brilliantly after that baring some dubious finishing but everything seemed to go through him. Hope he’s not picked up an injury. Really hope we have pulisic and rabiot and back to full strength for inter after the break.
After two games and the first 30 minutes of this game looking dull, we finally woke up and numerous players woke up!
About time maignan toy saves a penalty and more crucial than ever!
Defence was awesome and solid. Gabbia positioning is fantastic and his aerial ability and how much heart he has for the team is the best. Pavlovic has grown so much because with his solid defending he’s actually a threat when he attacks!
Saelemaekers was good and his dribbling out of danger was so good as well. Fofana had some decent moments but the negative ones could have been too crucial. Modric needs some rest but he grew into the game and Ricci runs his socks off and he made some great tackles too and he’s starting to pass further forward. Bartesaghi the first 40 minutes was very scary. Made too many mistakes and gave up posession too often but he recovered well in the second half,hr can be forgiven.
I actually liked the pairing of leao and nkunku up front because they’re both great in the ball and nkunku opened up a lot of space for leao to attack
We need to finish our chances because we definitely could have been up by 3 and then roma could have comeback and undeserved Ly tied it. Can’t wait to recover rabiot, puli and others to get these team flowing again! The top 4is crazy close.
0 for Fofana. 1 at the most. Look back at your previous ratings of 5 over the last few seasons and explain how. He was detrimental to the effort tonight. Not only does he constantly make the wrong decision, whatever decision he does make is too rash or too late. The result should not have any influence on his rating today. His teammates who bailed him out should have those 5 points added to their ratings collectively.
Fofana was Musah all over again tonight.
At this point he utterly lacks confidence and composure. He needs to sit a couple of games get his head on straight and have an impact off the bench

It was arguably the worst start, but after the 35 minutes, Milan was a far better team, a lot of clear-cut goalscoring chances missed.
It’s one of Leao’s better games in Milan jersey. He was engaged throughout the game offensively and defensively. He and Pavlovic were the only good players in the first 35 minutes.
Great run by Pavlovic on that goal, especially slowing down and pulling back in the penalty box like a striker to give Leao the outlet to pass the ball. He was great defensively, too.
Im glad Allegri didn’t pull out Bartesaghi in the 1st half and allowed him to work thru adversity, which will only boost his confidence and make him stronger mentally. His passes in the penalty box got eyes. They almost always go to a Milan player.
Modric has been shaky lately with his passing, but his defensive work is outstanding. Always in the right place.
It’s a shame Fofana is so bad with his final touch, final pass, final shot, because he makes all the right runs, all the right movements, all the right reads but than he messes up everything.

Nkunku actually played a good game when you take into consideration that he played as a 9 and surrounded by 3 CBs twice his sizes.
Only 1 point back from the top and injured players about to come back, Milan is in a good place.
On to Parma.
A few thoughts
1. Milan dominated this game. 3.32 expected goals against a team that hasn’t given up much is impressive
2. The Roma goalie Svilar was really impressive today
3. I like Barteseghi but his inability to keep wings from making crosses is hgoing to cost us sooner or later
4. The player that really needs a rest is Modric. Playing that midweek game was too much for him. But I don’t think either Allegri or the Croatian National team trust their team without Modric on the pitch
5. When Laeo plays direct, and makes hard runs without the ball, he really is world class.
6. Will we ever see Laeo and Pulisic on the pitch this year? They have played 25 minutes together
7. Nnunku is really skillful. But I wonder where he fits, unless Allegri starts playing a 3-4-3, or a 4-3-3.
8. It is so much better having Allegri as coach than what we have had the last few years.
9. Pavlovic reminds me of the really talented Bayern CBs of the years. He might be our most improved player this year
10. Fofana’s shot today wasn’t simple. Left footed shot on a hard hit pass. If that was Modric, or Puli it would be excusable because they generally hit the frame, but Fofana has skied so many shots this year.
11. I still think we have another gear once Laeo and Puli plays direct together. We are winning the Scudetto if they both can stay healthy
The score may look like it but after the goal we played anything but Allegri-ball. The opening of the second half is what I was looking for against Pisa. Glad we found our confidence, now let’s go get the wins we should.
Nkunku was, IMO a 5.5. he really grew into the game but is not there quite yet.
Leao cannot be MOTM every time he has an impact. A CB scored on a lung busting run in open play and played is actual position well enough too. MOTM
Leao woke up after the goal as well. He ran and won balls and pressed until he cramped.
This is the game Bartesaghi showed he is a starter. He was abysmal in the first 40 min. A kid who doesn’t belong folds up and doesn’t play after the half. Bartesaghi showed he has the grinta to keep fighting and should have come away with an assist. He should continue to start. It is clear he is growing from the consistent play he is getting.
Fofana has to sit. He is a wrecking ball, but wrecks both sides, not just the opposition. With Rabiot returning we should see Ricci move to a more defensive role next to Modric and Rabiot. RLC will get minutes both as a squad mid and as striker until after January.
Like Bartesaghi, Ricci is also growing and also grew into this game. His start was not quite as bad as Bartesaghi, but he ended up making all sorts of clearances, interventions and runs down the left. The shot he took was dangerous and clever.
Our back three as a until looked good and I agree with the assessment on Gabbia. I expect Gattuso to call him up in Nov at this point.
Glad Allegri unleashed the team. So long as we continue to track back into our 532 when we lose the ball we should be pressing the attack.
Forza Milan
The game changed around the 30th minute when Milan adjust to 4-3-3 with the ball. Exellent played by Allegri. Leo out wide and Saelemakers as a right wing with freedom.
Bartesahgi was a disaster. Getting the Italian bump on the ratings of course. Looked like he never touched a football in his life.
We are very lucky Roma did not put this game out of reach within the first 30 minutes. Thank the lord we have Pulisic and Rabbit coming back. And hopefully Estonian and Jashari as well.

Even though bart was bad for the first 30-40min I think he did better than estupiñan would have. When ever estupiñan is pressured he panicks and loses the ball, as shown in the games he’s played where he’s been pressured. Also Bart is only 19 and had the mental fortitude(and the backing of his teammates)to improve and not collapse completely and had a fairly good game after. I really hope he stays at wing back or allegri starts to push him back into left cb and be an understudy to pavlo, I think he can excel like pavlo on that position.

Leao was good tonight. He and Pulisic will be a handful for defenses. Rabiot, Jashai and Pervis will give Allegri additional options along with RLC. Add a 9 and a another CB in January and Milan can be real contenders.

Hard-won victory. However, Allegri’s decision to have a small group of players is costing us. Fofana is clearly worn-out; Tomori, Leap, Modrić, Saelemaekers, Gabbia, Gimenez, are just managing to play. Even if Pulisic and Rabiot come back to help the team, there’s no guaranteeing how long they will play, before injuries creep in again. Our bench for the Pisa game was laughable. We need a bigger squad, considering how tight things are at the top, despite our not being involved in Europe.
What a game, totally pissed at all the misplaced passes, players keep trying to do the impossible passes rather than do the simple give and go.
I must say I love how Gabbia doesn’t haggle the ball, he receives and quickly gives out to those who can make good use of the ball, nothing fancy, not trying to impress anybody and it is effective.
I don’t know what Bartesaghi was on but I hope he gets off it as soon as possible.
Finally, although this low block is getting us to stay compact, but we still gotta play football and seeing that Saelemaekers is more like a RB now kills all his attacking input, Alegri should try and balance the defense and attack, if this balance was there, we’d be topping this table with at least 4points now.
Was really impressed by Pavlovic, his determination to be an extra body in attack is something that should encourage the midfield to move better.
Forza Milan
Are we coming out the other side of this international break derailment one point off the top spot with Pulisic and Rabiot returning? 🤔

Very strange game. A tale of two halves. For the first 35 minutes, Roma dominated the actions but then we scored against the run of play thanks to Rafa and Pavlovic, then we missed a sitter with Fofana. So generally except for Rafa’s run and assist, we did very poorly and went to the break without deserving the lead. But then we exploded in second half, and had no fewer than 6 great goal-scoring opportunities in as many minutes, in a flurry of offense, and only by miracle Roma didn’t concede two or three goals (also, both Fofana again and Rafa missed sitters). We continued to dominate and completely overwhelmed Roma which were defending for their lives with violent player, collecting a large number of yellows. And then, again the run of play, they collected a PK but Mike saved. We had a couple of other opportunities and defended heroically, coming out with the deserved victory. HUGE xG of 3.32, and Roma had just about 1 of xG before their PK which did increase it to 2.05. But see, Roma did NOT shot on target except for the PK, during the entire second half.
So, soccer is strange. We got dominated in the first half but scored, and we amply dominated in second half but couldn’t increase the advantage and needed a heroic PK save to prevail. Overall I think we did amply deserved the win. We faced a very good team, still missing Rabiot and Pulisic, and came out with all three points.
We finished the game with more shots on target (8 versus 6), more xG (3.32 versus 2.05), 6 great opportunities and a post hit, and they had no fewer than 5 times more yellow cards than we had. So, overall, a clearly deserved victory despite Fofana doing his “best” to sink the team and Nkunku’s disappearing act meaning that we pretty much played with one man down for 80 minutes.

Maignan – 8.0 for the PK save and for some decent first half saves although he also made mistakes with his feet, almost gifting them an early goal. He didn’t have to work in second half except for stopping the PK, but he was as responsible for the 3 points as the Rafa-Pavlovic pair which were responsible for our only score.
De Winter – Very overwhelmed in the first 35 minutes, with Dybala terrorizing him, but fortunately for us, Dybala didn’t seem to be able to shoot on target tonight (except for the PK). But then De Winter progressively improved and had a decent second half. I’ll give him a pass, 6.0 for the second half.
Gabbia – Truly excellent, compensating for De Winter’s mistakes. Not a single mistake by Gabbia. Very solid. 7.5 because if not for him, we could have been in much bigger trouble.
Pavlovic – 8.5, MOTM. Just perfect. Tremendous work rate, no mistakes, several essential defensive plays, tremendous pressure on Roma’s midfield and defense, huge run alongside Rafa to score the game winner. He’s looking like our best striker although he is a defenseman, and he is playing like the prime Theo Hernandez. What a formidable growth for this player, who is becoming one of the best Serie A centerbacks.
Bartesaghi – Over the full 90 minutes, a negative performance. Just in the first 20 minutes, lost 4 balls. Almost didn’t do anything right in first half, but then, like the rest of the team (except for Nkunku) improved a lot as the game went on, and should have had an assist if not for Fofana’s failure to convert a sitter. Still, I can’t give him a pass. I know I gave a pass to De Winter who was just as bad in first half, but De Winter did have more good actions than Bartesaghi along the entire game. 5.5
Saelemaekers – A giant. Terrorized Wesley and almost got him expelled. Won almost all duels against Wesley who had to resort to violence against Alexis, collecting a yellow and deserving a red. Then, participated in the early stages of our goal, and had other good actions upfront. Very good game. 7.5
Fofana – What a disaster! By far his worst game with the Milan jersey. He almost single-handedly made us lose points. Missed two incredible sitters; first, shooting off-target a perfect cross from Bartesaghi that my elderly mother would have scored. Then had another perfect chance and managed to shoot at the keeper. It seems like Fofana is able to shoot everywhere but the net. He also lost a huge number of balls and had bad passes, contributing to Roma’s possession in the first half because he was basically gifting them the ball every time. Then caused a dangerous foul at the edge of the box which actually should have had him red-carded. Not content with this, then caused a PK for the opponents. I’ve rarely seen a player be so negative for a team. Does he deserve any score higher than ZERO? I don’t think so. By far the worst player on the pitch, for both teams. Hopefully when Rabiot and Jashari recover, we won’t see Fofana having anything but a few relief minutes.
Ricci – No big mistakes but no big risks taken either; remains timid. Had a couple of good opportunities to score and didn’t fail by much which saves a bit of his score. I guess he gets a pass as he didn’t do anything bad. 6.0
Modric – Better than last game when he looked tired. He must have more trouble when we have a midweek game at his age, like this week. Still, had a few failures but several good actions too, and overall was one of the best, so, 6.5
Nkunku – 12 official games into the season and with only 1 goal in Coppa, he is dangerously flirting with becoming a certified bust that cost us 40 million Euro. He seems to have his back to the goal in certain plays, and couldn’t even tap it in from 2 yards, hitting the post. He was rather absent from the entire game, making us look like we were playing with only 10 players. 3.0
Leão – very lively, dangerous and he constructed our only goal, but he also missed two big sitters that he absolutely should have scored. Still, without him that only goal wouldn’t have happened and thanks to that goal we made all 3 points so I guess that qualifies as a 7.0. Had he made the two sitters, of course he’d have been the MOTM with two goals and one assist to his name, but those misses do hurt. Still, his dangerousness and his assist made it fair to grant to him a high score. It must be also noticed that he tried hard including recovering some lost balls and even trying passes from the ground after being brought down by the defense. Overall a much more lively and incisive game for Rafa than last time when he played with hip discomfort.
Subs
RLC – Didn’t have any time to be incisive like last game. Allegri really should have brought him in much sooner, for the useless Nkunku. S/V

Mister Allegri – It’s not his fault that our offense missed so many great goal-scoring opportunities, and his team clearly has a lot of resolve and effort; the attitude has improved enormously as compared to what happened at the time of the two Portuguese coaches. nkunku played great apart from starting 35 mins and u say 12 games in as if he played more than half of them , i think he only started 3 games this season amassing less than 400 minutes or 300?
Nkunku played great? Did we watch a different game? I wasn’t at San Siro; watched from home but maybe my TV was defective and showed a different game. Because for me, Nkunku didn’t deserve more than a 3. 12 games in is right; I’m talking about how along the season is going. 2 official Coppa games and 10 official Serie A games. Regardless of the minutes, Nkunku was only good in ONE game or at most two (he should have earned a PK in one game, and scored in another game, both in Coppa if I’m not mistaken; hasn’t done anything in Serie A so far. Yes, he’s flirting with being another Origi. I hope I’m wrong and he improves, but so far I’m not impressed. Even Santi who has been missing a lot, has done more for the team than Nkunku.
Nkunku was slow like the whole team for the first 35 minutes and picked it up. He held the ball up well, won many aerial duels and opened up space for leao. He did well. When has he started games? The game he did he got no service and he’s been coming late into games. I’m not worried about him

But for me, Pavlovic was the MOTM and you can see by the poll here that a lot of people agree with me. Pavlovic was even cunny and looking experienced in the last ten minutes, disrupting Roma’s equalizing attempts. He was a complete player tonight, and scored. What else do you want from him?

Talk about overreacting. Fofana had 9 assists last season, that’s incredible for a DM. His passing is excellent. His finishing is terrible and occasionally he makes bad decisions, but stop pretending he’s as error prone as say Tomori, he isn’t.

Good result, this is how you win titles. I’ve noticed that Fofana is the new Musah in comments. He did a stupid thing for the penalty and he isn’t a finisher (but still better than our CF?!) but apart from that he wasn’t bad. He miss placed maybe 3 passes in the entire game, re*ards write he couldn’t connect a pass. Your eyes aren’t connected to your brains, that is the problem…

He’s been starting every week because of the injury crisis. If Rabiot and Jashari were healthy, everyone (except you) know that he wouldn’t be starting.
Great run by Pavlovic, he really followed the whole action right back from defensive phase. Hat down to him and Leao as this goal turned everything. It was very difficult game for us until we scored.
Too bad we missed so many 100% goal chances at the start of 2nd half. Those 6 minutes (45-51) were the best AC Milan played in a looong time. I wish someone scored but at the end it didn’t cost us, thanks to great save by Maignan.
I have to say that I still miss those speedy runs by Theo, can’t believe we let such a great player go. I am sure Allegri would have find him very useful. And it was such fun to watch Theo running from all the way back and passing other players like a high speed train!
Anyway, it’s not bad after 10 games. We are 1 point from the top and we played 5 of the toughest opponents (Napoli, Roma, Juventus, Atalanta, Bologna). Hopefully we can keep the form and win all the ‘smaller’ matches and be in a position to fight for scudetto when spring comes.

Giving how sour our relation with Théo seemed like last season, I think his departure was inevitable. I’ll never forget his goals against Atalanta and Lazio, but he was becoming too much of a bad apple.
Jiménez was reported to be late for training more than once and had disciplinary issues, doesn’t fit well with Allegri.
The BIG management’s mistakes were as follow IMO:
– Getting fullbacks instead of wingbacks while Allegri was going to play a 3-5-2. This is a clear sign of miscommunication.
– Getting rid of all our strikers (Camarda, Abraham and Jović).
– And not getting a striker after keeping only one striker in the team.
Yes, we got Jovic for free and let him go, actually forced him go!? And then we paid Gimenez 37 million and the guy plays like he is blind and cannot see the ball at all. Insanity! Jovic actually scored so much considering the chances/minutes he was given to play. Camarda is too young and got way more minutes than Jovic but scored nothing. Not even assist. I think Jovic was heavily mistreated by coaches and I don’t know the real reason. Abraham scored some goals but his ego was not good for the rest of the team. I don’t regret not seeing him in ACM anymore. I don’t even know where he is now. And I don’t want to Google it 🙂 I am simply happy without knowing anything about him.
SJF so impressed with Theo because he could run fast in a straight line. As if the 3 or 4 great runs he would make a season make up for the complete lack of effort on defense and toxic attitude that had infected the entire team. Thankfully Theo is gone and we are playing like a team again with players willing to suffer.
If you want to question his commitment, that is fair enough.
However questioning his undoubted talent just makes you look foolish.
There is a reason he is our highest ever scoring defender and a world cup finalist with France, because he was for years one of the best attacking full backs in world football.
