Milan players pre Feyenoord

Player Ratings: AC Milan 1-1 Feyenoord (1-2 agg) – Theo Hernandez to blame

AC Milan were held to a 1-1 draw against Feyenoord on Tuesday evening and thus got knocked out of the Champions League. Theo Hernandez was mainly to play for an unnecessary red card and below are the player ratings for the Rossoneri.

If you haven’t already, make sure to check out how we decide the player ratings. From the scale to what affects the rating, we have compiled everything there.

Starting XI

Maignan (6): He couldn’t do much about the goal and overall, he did well with his feet. He also anticipated some balls high up the pitch at the end.

Walker (5.5): It was a good start to the game for him with a great ball for Pulisic that led to the corner before the first goal. However, aside from a shot that was nicely saved, he struggled to have an impact and also lost the battle with Bueno in the second half.

Thiaw (7 – MOTM): We saw some fantastic passing from him this evening, not just having success with low vertical passes but also long balls to the flanks. He used all of his strength in the defending and also got the assist for Gimenez’s goal.

Pavlovic (6.5): It was a really good pass on Feyenoord’s goal, we must admit, but perhaps the Serbian could have done slightly better in keeping the opponent out. That being said, he defended really well aside from that and was also one of the few to try things in attack.

Hernandez (2): It feels like a repeat of Musah’s display against Dinamo Zagreb, with two incredibly silly and unnecessary yellow cards. Milan were en route to a good win, completely dominating Feyenoord, but the red card changed everything. He should hang his head in shame because that dive was unacceptable and he knows it.

Musah (6): He did well most of the time, especially in terms of positioning and covering for his teammates. Conceicao put him at left-back for quite some time after the red card and he did well there too.

Reijnders (5.5): We saw some nice passes from him tonight, but he also had a few opportunities to find the back of the net but failed to hit the target. Perhaps the result is affecting our judgment a little bit here, but he can still do more. A poor giveaway in defence also comes to mind.

Pulisic (6.5): It was a great cross on the goal from him, finding Thiaw at the back post, and he also helped win the corner in the first place with an early run. He was involved in several good moves after that, but perhaps his shooting could have been more precise (a couple of chances not taken).

Joao Felix (5): Sadly, although there were good moments from him, he made too many mistakes in the final third. He was also booked for a silly foul in the second half. One positive thing to say, though, is that he actually had some success in the aerial duels.

Leao (5.5): He’s always so difficult to rate, but in such an important game, the feeling is that he didn’t get the most out of his abilities. He had plenty of opportunities to run at the Feyenoord defence but even if he won the 1v1, the cross/shot was never good enough. Of course, he also created a lot by himself but the final product is what matters.

Gimenez (7): Right place, right time just 36 seconds into the game. The ability to find the right spaces in the box is so important, and something Milan had been lacking before. He also combined well with his teammates and in particular, he had a good pass for Joao Felix. It was a mistake to take him off because he handled the pressing very well.

Substitutes

Bartesaghi (5.5): Obviously, it’s a difficult situation to enter into but he could have done better on the goal, for sure. The rest was okay from him, truth be told, but he’s still not quite ready to feature regularly for the first team.

Fofana (5.5): Not dreadful, but most of his passes were blocked tonight. It just looks so funny when he tries to come up with a smart vertical pass and then it gets easily stopped. It happens far too often with him sadly.

Chukwueze (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.

Abraham (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.

  1. Maldini’s written message on the shirt he gifted Theo:
    “To Theo. My worthy heir.
    I wish you well”
Maybe he was actually talking about hair not heir.

      1. Ruin a player?
You are one of these people that lack accountability and blames everyone else for their own stupidity. That’s something you need to try and understand.
Theo has always been a hot head who was getting unnecessary yellow cards and he has always been a diver. Nothing has changed.
        That’s exactly what happened today.
        Nothing ruined.
He is a clown and anyone who supports him is a clown as well.

        1. If it were one or two players that would be one thing.

          This is systematic failure.

Theo was never a problem before.

Suddenly he and most of the other Scudetto winning players became a problem.

          What changed?

          1. Theo was never a problem before?
I’m sorry for engaging with you. You deserve a player like Theo if you actually believe that he was never a problem before.

          2. Boban, who is a former Milan player and director, was a pundit in the Sky Sport Italia studio and certainly did not hold back.

“Theo Hernandez has been doing this for years, I am stunned that nobody has already told him this or corrected his behaviour,” said Boban

This is the man who signed Theo saying this but according to @MaldiniHeir Theo has never been a problem before and is only a problem now because the almighty Maldini and Pioli aren’t at Milan anymore.
            Clown

          3. “Theo was never a problem before”
This shows such a complete lack of awareness it is astonishing. Theo was always a problem. People would just overlook it because he would score the occasional wonder goal. Always a problem. Now that has offense has fallen off there is nothing to hide behind anymore.

        2. What exactly was the ‘problem’ with the Scudetto winning/consistent top 2 finishing full back who single handily won the team games?

          His hair?

          1. He has always been a brat on field who pushes the bounds of sportsmanship. Everyone loves it when it works but there is generally non-acceptance when it costs games.

Put your hand up if you wanted to fix Theo when he dived against Monza (I think it was earlier this season) which got their goal ruled out for a foul in the build up? What about when he was getting the better of Dumfries?

The one technical thing that I noticed, which was not previously as evident, is that he seemed to loose something when he spent most of the first half of last season inverted. He’s never recovered the balance between defence and attack (although he was good as the LCB in a back 3).

His gamesmanship aside, he is not a particularly smart player (as in his read of the game and time). He relies on his physical gifts more than technical and tactical quality.

What I think is now happening is that he is checking out a bit because he will not get the money he wants from Milan, because of the decline which started 18 months ago, and is now on the way out.

      2. You’re right. Theo’s consistently declining form through three coaches has absolutely nothing to do with him. It has everything to do with Maldini leaving…

I wonder how Maldini ever got over Sacchi and Capello leaving…. Oh wait, maybe because Maldini was a stronger player and didn’t need his hand held? Hmmmmmm

        1. Who said anything about Maldini?

          Theo, Calabria, Tomori, Leao….

In fact is this squad of players worse than the Feyenord squad?

Is this a 8th placed Serie A squad?

So are any players playing anywhere near their potential?

          Remember to never question anything.

          1. They all over performed the Scudetto season and everyone bought into Pioli. But then no proper reinforcements arrived and Pioli’s “loving” ways wore off.

There’s no “systematic” failure other than a poorly built team with individually good players that don’t fit well into a team.

The result is this club “crawling” based on individual contributions rather than team play.

But regardless, tonight was about individual lunacy that cost this team knockout spots. The same individual that has been steadily declining and who’s performances had never been addressed.

          2. Let’s not group Calabria in the same category as the others. Calabria was good in the title season, but was never great like the others

          3. You’re only half right but in a weird round about way. Yes these guys can win things with the right environment and the right conditions. Perhaps they don’t have that anymore and something has to give. Based on how the club is operating, we can see what direction they’re going

        2. They didn’t ’over-perform’.

          That’s an opinion.

The fact is they finished 1st over a 38 game season. They also finished 2nd in 3 of the other 4 seasons.

But apparently that wasn’t ‘good enough’ for you and your opinions.

So now you’re joint 7th with a team of randomers.

          Enjoy.

      3. How exactly is it the management’s fault that Théo decided to pull a Feyenoord player’s shirt and then to dive an earn a red card ? Can you explain this please ?

        1. If you want to talk about one incident fine.

If you want to talk about the decline of about 75% of the Scudetto winning/top 2 Serie A finishing squad from last season, then that might be more helpful.

          1. Maybe it was because a powerhouse like Kessie and the best italian midfielder (shared with Barella) was covering most teammates a$$e$ in the midfield. When they were gone, this is what is left

      4. Milan gabe him everything. He is rotten apple that is also ruining the naive Leao

Vash out while we can and move on. Give Leao a season without Theo and dexide in him based on merit

Loved both of them but time for some action. No oatience lef in me after tonight

    1. Such a shame that this imbecile actually overtook Maldini for goals. Who cares for all those goals when you cost your team twice as much at the back?

Sell him in the summer for 20m, someone’s got to offer that.

  2. Muchos culpan a CONCEICAO (en pocos dias nos dio un título) pero con ESTÚPIDOS!!!! como MIKE, GABBIA, MUSAH Y AHORA THEO!!! MAAAMIIITAAA

  3. Well I think management paid they price for all previous mistake. From Maldini and Massara, to Pioli, and also bringing only players who they saw as opportunity…

Now is time for team to show are they for this club or not. Exiting against Feyenoord gives big opportunity to get 4th spot against Lazio and Juventus. And if they can’t do that than management needs to rethink transfer policy.

  4. That both Theo’s form and attitude have been disastrous is not a novelty for anyone. But, to my great chagrin, I don’t see much improvement in any shape or form under Conceicao, and that makes me worry about our future. Crashing out against Feyenoord is a shame, which can hardly be put in words. I am both disappointed and bored to death by watching this Milan side.

  5. This team needs a detox. We have some good players (Tiji, Puli, Gimenez, Jimenez, Pavlovic, Walker, etc.) who can deliver and are consistent. But you are as strong as your weakest link, and for quite some time now it is evident that Theo has failed and keeps on failing. I do not think we should sell but he needs to be subbed out for Jimenez or Bartesaghi until he gets his head straight and truly fights for this team. In the end of the day, no coach or management can control the players while on the field, but they can take them off the field. Which is what is required at the moment for Theo.

  6. This was entirely predictable. When your defensive strategy is to grab opposing players with 2 hands which he has clearly directed the team to do, just look at how many yellow cards we get per game since he took over, and your offensive strategy is to dive and try and draw penalties(Felix does this 2 to three times per match as does leao and Theo), what do you expect? He has turned Milan into some second rate Portuguese club with this style of football. Embarrassing.
Not to mention he has ruined our 2 best players this season in Pulisic and Reijnders.
I want to hear the Conceicao defenders now. He just needs more time? We got knocked out by an inferior team who’s coach has been there all of 2 games.
Fonseca had us in great position to finish in the top 8, and now we are out. Firing Fonseca for this clown was the worst decision management has made. He makes Fonseca look like Pep and Pioli look like Ancelotti. I don’t see any of our top players sticking around to play this type of ugly football.

As for Theo, what do you expect. Nobody has hurt this team more this season than him.

    1. I have to admit Fonzy was better in the CL… Maybe Conseicao has the edge in the league but not by much. Overall I think I blame the players more than the coach though..

    2. It seems like Conceicao letting Félix run around freely is complicating/clogging up previous channels…forcing too much of the offense to revolve around Felix and undercutting Pulisic and Reijnders in the process.

Doesn’t seem sensible to turn over so much to a guy who isn’t used to leading when the other two have already proven their value throughout the year.

      1. @JD Spot on. I wasn’t a fan of the transfer, but to be fair to the team, I thought it would really depend on how they use Joāo. Unfortunately, it really seems like how you mention… with him all over the pitch. Sure, he could provide value, but supplanting Puli and Reijnders makes them both less effective.

      2. Generally agree with ratings. Felix with free role leads to failing attack. He doesn’t know how to move to create space for others. Late in the second half, he literally did not get out of the way of Leao dribbling down the field.

    1. Theo and Leao gone and the Revolution is finally complete.

If Trump can rename the Gulf of Mexico why can’t these owner rename AC Milan?

      1. Ohhhh now I get it why you spit so much nonsense….. you have the famous TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome).

unfortunately bad news for you. The cure is not discovered yet…

  7. I’ll rate this game E because there was at least some effort, although I could take T for they tried (but which is actually worse than F).
I guess the good thing is, instead of having one’s eyes bleeding twice a week, they’ll only bleed once a week from then on. And don’t complain about us being eliminated, do you really want to see these players against Arsenal? It will look ugly very quickly.
Conceição: In the first half I don’t have that much to complain because we dominated and barely conceded a shot and I thought for some time that the team finally started to look better, but it was probably the momentum.
I can’t expect him to deal very well with a red card, but I thought his subs did more harm than good. Subbing Pulisic out is an invitation for Feyenoord to attack on that side and Giménez out means we gave up on the game.
Giménez: He scored (albeit it was easy at this point) and at some point gave a nice through ball to Félix. While it wasn’t a great game by him he was one of the best players today.
Félix: He is showing while every team rather get rid of him instead of keeping him.
Leão: Typical Leão. A lot of dribbling and ZERO end product. He could hit these crosses with his eyes closed and it will be the same end. A sequence at the 26th minute resumes him pretty well, great job in dribbling and getting inside the box and passes to the Feyenoord defense despite having all that time and space.
Pulisic: The goal came from a good cross from him, but aside from that not a great game by him, perhaps it’s either fitness issue or the coaching style doesn’t suit him, but in the end we can’t win without him. After he was subbed out, Feyenoord had an easier time and eventually scored from our right side.
Reijnders: We did have opportunities thanks to his wicked shots and he did help us press and push things in the first half. At this point I see him more as a deep forward or attacking midfielder rather than an actual midfielder.
Musah: When given a role where his passing and shooting aren’t necessary, he can actually look good. He is still far from a good midfielder, but his awareness and positioning have improved a bit during this game.
Fofana: Hard to judge since he came near the end while we were already 10 vs 11.
Bartesaghi: Considering the circumstances, he did ok. In the end the goal wasn’t his fault. He should start more often.
Thiaw: Great defending tonight and good job on the assist.
Pavlović: Let’s face it, as of recently he is the best player in the team. Great defending and his passing improved a bit. I also love that for such an aggressive defender, he is more or less cool headed and doesn’t engage in provocations, fighting,…
Walker: I guess his age started to show. He had a bit of a hard time defensively against Feyenoord left side, however offensively he did contribute to nice shots.
Maignan: He was on vacation for more than half the game and while the goal wasn’t exactly his fault, I hoped to see Magic Mike again.
Théo: You thought I forgot about him right? There is one of 2 things, he is either a complete imbecile (to put it nicely) with a 69 football IQ or he decided to sabotage the team and get it eliminated, or maybe both. Did he seriously think he could get away with that dive? Even if the referee didn’t see it the VAR would probably have noticed. How is a professional football player who already had a stup!d yellow to begin with forgets that and decide to dive ?
Forget renewing, he should be sent straight to Primavera. Conceição who is apparently a hardboiled guy and likes to butt head with players should attempt UFC moves on him. Bartesaghi or Jimenez should be our left backs from now on. If he wants to renew, he should be fined 11M€, because that’s exactly what he costed us tonight.
(I somewhat knew that my comment would be swallowed, so I’m reposting it again)

  8. THE STUPID Theo Hernandez!!! Milan was dominating and he got a stupid yellow in the middle of the field for nothing. The second one because he forgot the first one! Just simply STUPID

    1. for those who always say that we who don’t like the policies and what has been done by the current owner and his clown management, are the doom & gloom people.
no we aren’t, we are realists!

  9. They already screwed up in Zagreb. This match was just a confirmation of our collapsed season. Players have no spirit, no motivation, no desire. This is perfomance reflecting our leadership.

For the second season in a row this team is regressing. Banter era with clean accounts.

    1. “We’re better than two years ago” Ted…. CLEARLY
We had two of the best ever mercatos ..the summer before and this winter. Couldn’t you tell by the many midfield options we had for the game?
      /s

    2. “Players have no spirit, no motivation, no desire. This is perfomance reflecting our leadership. ”

You started watching the match after Theo’s red card, eh? The spirit, motivation and desire were there in the 1st half.

    3. Maybe there is a silver lining out of all this and that would be Gerry misses out on that UCL $$ and therefore has to sell the team (or at least begin with a minority stake) this summer cause that 13% interest payment on the Elliot loan cannot be satisfied without massive sales of players (Leao, Theo) – OR BOTH. Let’s hope it’s just the former unless massive offers come in. So either expect a minority sale or the sale of both Leao and Theo to raise $$ to fund that interest payment. No we won’t be reinvesting all that $$ from player sales back into the club kids – it will be replacing with a few young players and the rest goes to Elliot. Like I said terrible result today BUT if this is the impetus that gets RID of MANAGEMENT (Ibra and Moncada – Furlani will never be fired he was handpicked by Gerry and came from Elliot was the a$$🤡 that suggested we sell to Redbird rather than Investcorp because Gerry needed to borrow the $& from Elliot) and Ownership (eventually), then maybe it may be all worth it.

      1. ” cause that 13% interest payment on the Elliot loan cannot be satisfied without massive sales of players”

FFS!!!!!!! YOU STILL DON’T GET IT!!!

RedBird’s loan has NOTHING to do with Milan’s finances. Selling players won’t help the OWNERS pay their own debts. Milan’s money != RedBird’s money.

  10. No leadership from the so called senior players…stray passess all round…no clear decision making in the final 3rd. And the big take away…put the fame to bed when you have the chance. Silly from Theo, he was asking for it throughout this game. Gutted is putting it mildly but the maturity level of this team is deplorable…

  11. Conceicao made some shocking decisions tonight. Taking Gimenez off who was a genuine outlet for a start, the only player you can see scoring a half chance. Reijnders too…taking off creative players when we have to score. You sacrifice one of the luxury players, Leao or Felix

No words for Theo….his Milan career is cooked. Someone needs to teach Leao that less is more

    1. It’s because he promised Félix that he would play every minute of every game if he came to Milan. Conceição thinks he is still at Porto, players diving, pushing opponents from behind, I guarantee are all his instructions because these habits came with him.

      1. Yeah, I’m a bit surprised he’s been given this much playing time in a brand new team, mid-season transfer no less. Started 4 out of his 5 matches.

    2. Puli hasn’t been fully healthy. He seems to be limping when he walks. Not good to pay like that it can only make whatever is bothering him worse.

  12. Don’t know why my comments not going thru. But it’s pretty obvious Theo garbage….cost the game…best to concentrate on the league 4th…🤷‍♂️

    1. This thing passing itself off as ‘AC Milan’ is 5 points off 4th and Como are 5 points off relegation.

Here’s hoping it stays that way.

      1. It’s AC Milan whether you like it or not and irregardless of who owns the club. “This thing” is what you’re calling the club you claim to support? Some fan you are. You want your team to stall at 4th??. Wh? Oh wait you support Como nowso what are you doing here exactly?! Best to change your username because u don’t deserve that moniker.

        1. Just because it happens to be called ‘AC Milan’ doesn’t make it AC Milan.

I can call ham made in Denmark, ‘Parma Ham’ it doesn’t make it so. In fact when the mafia did that it lead to one of the biggest scandals in Italian food history.

But apparently an ‘Italian’ club side can play without any Italians or connection to the place it is claiming to be from.

What exactly is the point of clubs or national leagues, if there’s no connection to the place?

This is no longer my club so I wish nothing but misfortune on it.

          1. You talk about this Parma ham often, now I want to get some and see if it lives up to its legend. What other good things not made in Italy but pretend to be should I try?

          2. “This is no longer my club so I wish nothing but misfortune on it.”

Sums up your fake fan persona nicely so keep it moving.

          3. Fake fan* persona.
            Read correctly
And stop coming here with your mightier than thou attitude like some ultimate fan. You throwing a toys out of the pram because you’re not getting your way. Look around you, times have changed. We still have Italians at the club, they’re just not playing in the first team. Gone are the days when Italians were some of the best in the world at their positions. Right now, there’s none bar Donnaruma in GK.

But no you profess going to support another club to spite the club you claim to support.

You said it yourself, you wish misfortune onto the club. No fan does that! Even if you’ve given up on the club, if you truly loved the club you’d never wish ill on the club. You have a lot of growing up to do.

        2. What ‘fake persona’?

My persona is a reference to a club legend who played for the club for nearly 20 years.

What is the point of this thing that is passing itself off as AC Milan?

It has no Italians in the stating 11 and barely in the first team squad, it’s a got a bunch of randomers thrown together by some algorithm, and those randomers will change again this summer when there’s another REVOLUTION.

They show zero respect or loyalty to their longest serving players, their manager, their title winning directors and club legend, so what is there left?

A mid-table team whose only connection to Italy is they happen to play in Serie A.

If you took this entire squad and dropped it into any other club in any other league they’d probably have more of a connection to that other league.

They’d make a great MLS team with their Americans or League 1 team in England with their Chelsea rejects.

What exactly is the point of following this thing?

How am I disloyal for not supporting a club that has shown no loyalty???

    1. What has your life become?

You follow a mid-table team of misfits that have crashed landed in Serie A, who play terrible football, and when you take time out of your day to vent about it your comment disappears.

The universe is telling you something.

      1. What has YOUR life become?

You follow a relegation contender team of misfits with an Itali…whoops I meant Spanish coach. The audacity of an Italian club to hire a Spanish coach,, who play admittedly decent football, and you take time out of your day to vent on about it on SempreComo site ( if such exists ) and it disappears …I mean you vent on a whole other teams website, the one you claim to not support anymore only for the attention.

Yes, indeed what has your life become?.

        1. A team is allowed to have foreign owners, coaches and even players.

The issue is when a team that purports to be from Serie A has ZERO Italians in its starting 11, and virtually none in its first team squad, it has a foreign coach, and foreign owners

          AND

It has shat on club legends, managers who delivered success, and its longest serving players.

The thing that draws me to Como, other than the fact that I spent a lot of time there, is Cutrone.

          Cutrone is f’ing legend.

When he was forced out (by MALDINI of all people) we forced out his memories.

We forced out the memories of Locatelli (now captaining Juve) when we forced him out.

We forced out the memories of Calabria (who will hopefully get to finish above this Chelsea C Team).

The club actively discriminates against Italians and Italy.

What is the point of it being in Serie A?

(The reason Parma ham has to be made in Parma is because it’s built on centuries of techniques and the conditions provided by the rich earth around Parma. That is what gives it its essence. It’s the same with so many foods and other things that are protected by appellations of origin.)

Well football is the same. The thing that makes Italian football Italian football, and AC Milan a club from Milan, are the Italian and Milanese elements. When there are none, there is no essence. There’s no connection.

Walker is not getting some new experience arriving in Serie A. It’s more like he’s playing for a Portuguese team.

It’s all pointless, and it’s all been for no point. All of this discrimination against Italians has done has seen the club go backwards.

And there’s almost an entire 11 of former Milan players who are ITALIAN playing for teams above them in the table.

It’s farcical. And I’ve no idea why people like you are sticking around.

It’s just brand loyalty or some addiction.

          There’s nothing else.

          1. You are as hilarious as you are dum.b.
Como is the team you fall back on because it has Cutrone for some reason, Milan now has foreign owners, fired Maldini etc. Como? COMO?? REALLY?

Yet for all this talk about identity, you now support a team whose owner is Indonesian. Can’t make this up 😂😂😂
You said we have a foregin coach? Fabregas, Como’s coach, is Spanish is he not?
The last game Como played had only 2 Italians who played. The last game we played had 1. Big difference!

So basically you left your support of Milan due to Italian identity crisis, to go support a team with a foreign owner, foregin coach and +1 Italians playing in the team. Hypocrisy much? All of this to see one or two more Italians in a team and then rant that we don’t have any playing in Milan anymore. You are some kind of special.

I stick around because I love the club and will forever support it. What I will not do is go support another club simply because it had a past player in it and I happen to frequent the area. May as well just take the short trip over to Bergamo and go support Atalanta instead…hint ..they have more Milan past players there.

Not because I disagree with the way our current MANAGEMENT is handling the club means I have to disown THE CLUB! KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. We have Italians in the club, they’re young, not ready yet but with huge potential. And with patience we HAVE to acquire homegrown players from the league so I have no clue what you’re so bent out of shape about.

        1. Well I did used to support a team called AC Milan so I’ve more connection than that Inter dude.

But I will say it’s part coping mechanism/part just finding the whole thing hilarious now seeing the same talking heads talking about this empty shell of a club as if it’s a serious going concern.

      2. Sometimes I wonder why there are less comments when we win and close to 200 when we lose🤔. You’ve proved it. There’s a room for criticism and not improvement

  13. Pink hair.. I said it since last week. Pink hair. That cost Serie A the 5th place Champions League spot as well. Well done Theo, for not only costing us but costing the league.

  14. Blame theo all you want but this season has been a disaster… you can complain about theo’s hair, but this isn’t the first time he had worn it even giroud did it too. We started the season bad and things have been going that way since. I feel like this club is more focused on the entertainment and financial side than what happens on the pitch.

      1. My comment on the game is not being published somehow. I guess it needs “approval” because I am “posting too quickly”. lol

        1. U mean the rival team fan who insults our team from time to time? Kool, go ahead.
I’d rather any other fan than an Inter fan who feels he’s high and mighty. Real fan, athletico fan even Lazio fan but never Inter fan. Dude is just an attention seeker and y’all giving him the attention.

          1. We all know he is a Milan fan pretending to be an inter fan to get people to interact with him. Negative attention is still attention.

          2. @Krunićs Heir at this point I think Maldini’s Heir is the real Inter fan and Inter fan is a Rossonero 😂😂😂

(PS I actually solidly believe Inter fan is a Milan fan, there’s no way I’m watching Inter-Venezia play just got the heck of it)

      2. This is all quite the experiment in branding or addiction.

The only thing that seems to be keeping anyone here is that this thing happens to be called ‘AC Milan’.

For fans of the brand/addicts it just seems to be this dysfunctional, abusive relationship.

For fans of other brands like this dude, they seem to want to spend their time positing about the empty shell of the rival brand.

Well I’ve taken the blue or red pill (whichever one sets you free)…..

  15. If I was Pulisic, I’d be miffed at getting subbed off with the game in balance. Maybe it was pre-ordained given pre-match fitness rumours, but still… Felix is ‘all sizzle and no steak’; please dont make his move permanent. Theo is just LB now. Rafa seems like he is not on the same page with anyone.

  16. Good job Milan. Got rid of a winning coach in Pioli after he didn’t get to the round of 16 in the UCL and now 2 coaches in and guess what, still knocked out before the round of 16. Théo should be sold along with Sarge who seems to not get his substitutions right ever. What a pathetic collapse after being one win away against Zagreb to make the round of 16.

  17. 1. The boys played well tonight until the red card and then chaos ensued. Tonight was all on Theo. The fact it was a dive and not a foul is what makes it disgusting. Theo has given us five great years but he has been a huge problem this season. He needs to sit some games out with Bartesaghi and Jimenez getting more playing time.
    2. Pulisic and Leao are still our main threats. I thought both played well tonight but the rest of the attackers weren’t on the same wavelength. These things take time.
    3. Big picture, over the two legs, we saw one imbalanced poorly constructed team relying on individual brilliance and one team with a clear system drilled into its players to bring out the best in them. Yes, the red card changed everything, but even when Milan were on top, the players were not on the same page in the final third. Feyenoord have multiple injuries, fired their coach, sold their star striker to us, and still looked like a functional unit.
    4. Remember, for everyone who bashed Maldini, Massara, and Pioli. In their final season together with a limited budget and a decimated squad, the team reached the CL semi-finals and finished top four (“five”) in Serie A. Under this management, two seasons, three coaches, 15 players, and 250 million euros later, the team is out of the CL first round (again) and desperate for a top four finish in Serie A.

    1. “2. Pulisic and Leao are still our main threats.”

I’d say Felix played well too. He gave brilliant passes and was everywhere. If only he were better at scoring the result would have been positive. But I guess the scoring part is why he has failed almost everywhere.

  18. Pinnacle of idiocy from Theo… I can absolutely believe that he is capable of two consecutive yellows. But to do it at a most critical point in Europe is just madness. I don’t know how he remains at this club beyond summer after that… On the other hand, once the emotions subside, it is actually a blessing in disguise to be out of Europe, given our position domestically. These guys need to focus on finishing fourth for next season and properly reinforcing the squad. It’s ironic that it was the very position that has been neglected for the last five years that cost us Europe this season. Most of the blame, I will place on the Frenchman for this loss. However, some of the blame has to go to the coach for choosing to bring in a kid to play left back in a critical moment instead of moving the experience, Serbian there. What an absolutely dense decision.

And lastly, of course management has to take responsibility for not properly reinforcing the squad. Like I said, the left back position has been neglected for years. Theo is worn out both physically and mentally, which of course does not excuse his errors. But it’s also not surprising …

    What a disappointing night.

    1. It’s almost like Theo doesn’t give a sh*t anymore.. that’s the only upside – no midweek games for a competition we were never going to win anyway..

      1. I disagree, I think he did give a sh!t.
He decided that since we don’t to renew to him and sell him to Como, might as well make sure the whole ship sinks or burns.
That or maybe we should scan his brain to see if he didn’t develop cognitive problems.

          1. You’re really starting to show your age. The one thing this site needs is the Block-button. Too tired of reading your meaningless sh1t.

    2. Even with 10 players, Milan could and should have won the game. On paper the difference between the two teams is big.
I would blame both Theo and Sergio. I was surprised to see his subs. Removing the striker and Pulisic to keep Felix. He could have played Pavlovic at LB, instead of Bartesaghi. I think that as pressure rises, Sergio’s aggressive approach and yelling might damage Milan further.

      1. That was my point as well above. Bartesaghi sub made zero sense. Maybe it’s to show the management that their LB alternatives were a joke.

Felix should have been taken out. Reijnders and Puli kept.

        1. Milan is a high-pressure place. Fans want to win trophies; Sergio is an impulsive guy. In such a high-pressure situation, he might start to make bad decisions. Plus I suspect he has bias towards Felix because he is Portugese.
Italy seems to not be able to get a 5th UCL spot. So I agree with you that Milan can turn this into an advantage to focus on Serie A.

        2. Agree, though there is still the issue of strategy- playing hero ball with Leao and Felix is not going to get you to the top level. Reijnders’ box to box play has been neutralized and Pulisic’s movement and positioning is ignored. Not to say I told people so, but I have watched a lot of CFC games as my son is a fan. He also knows more about football then I ever will having played (sat on the bench- LOL) in the 3rd division in Germany for a year. He hated Felix at Chelsea along with Sterling and Werner.

          1. This. There’s a reason why he gets bounced around and loaned. And people here said he played well for the Portuguese national team, but that team is great overall and he would score against Luxembourg. (I don’t even know if Luxembourg would be in Serie A.)

As for your son, sitting on the bench in the third division in Germany is still better than like 99% of all football players on Earth so he probably knows more than a lot of us too. 😉 Interestingly enough, I felt Félix was like the Portuguese Werner too hahaha!

          2. Nice story about your kid. Did you ever manage to play any scrimmage with your kid’s team to gauge their level? I have a nephew that “could have made it” but for some reason or the other he didn’t think he was good enough (long story that one but he’s quite decent actually). In the summer he plays with alot of the Canadian players from abroad as warm up/off season runs, so I guess that’s the level he’s at. Through him, I played briefly against Jonathan David (probably the reason why I’m not fond of us getting him lol 😂😂😂) believe it or not. And some of the MLS players. But never Davies for whatever reason. That’s on my bucket list as I want to see his speed in real life.
It’s incredible the little differences that makes a top league player vs one or two levels below. It’s so miniscule but huge at the same time. Their consistency and speed of thought are the biggest difference for me. There are MANY very good players that can become elite but for one reason or the other (attitude, resources, mentality, racism, coaches) they don’t.

  19. This is what happens when you go for foreign coaches. Now there’s no way to get Conte, bring Allegri back, I’d rather have us playing boring and winning 1-0 like in the 90’s than embarrassing ourselves like this.

  20. There’s something about negotiating a renewal that brings out the best in our players isn’t there?Yes it’s a team game but you could argue that two of our “best” players – part of a “scudetto winning team” and all that – basically dumped us out of the CL..

    1. Or your sales team was performing until last May and then all of a sudden the company sacked the sales director and sales have fallen.

I mean why do people pay CEOs or directors or football managers the big bucks?

Other than the fact that people are mugs, presumably there’s some notion that this one person makes all of the difference.

Pioli obviously was able to get these players to perform (and you don’t need to go back to the Scudetto winning season because he finished 2nd only a few months ago).

The squad is now joint 7th in Serie A (and the league table is the only real measure because cups are more random).

  21. reading these comments make me believe most of you ‘sup.porters’ pray for a lo.ss all week so you can leave your cr.ap in here. you are just sad, but on the other hand its actua.lly good you hide behind a keyboard, then at least the real world dont ne.ed to en.dure you.

    1. I want this thing that is passing itself off as AC Milan to fail so that I have a chance of getting back my team.

I’m not sure how an ‘Italian’ team can have no Italians, or what the point of clubs or national leagues are.

Just merge it all, do a super league, maybe have player trades every week, tie it in with some reality TV/Hunger Games type thing, and call the sport ‘Soccer’.

    2. Lol what happened? What’s with the mightier than thou all of a sudden ? Your star signing Felix isn’t paying off and the “DEI” hire as you call it, Giminez at least is trying? Don’t take it out on the ppl who said they told you so, they still love the club. It’s just that they don’t get caught up in the hype.
No (true) supporter here can ever pray for a loss

  22. Also, are only Pulisic and Reijnders capable of accurate shooting? I guess Santi now is also but the shot attempts from the rest of the players is horrible.

  23. Theo is an idiot and he must go. Many of us will agree with this. But how many of us can see how bad is Joao Felix ? Whaaaat an awful player. So weak…like a vegan anorexic leftard white western woman…
Really really joke of a player…

    1. You wonder why Conceiceo keep playing Jaeo Felix for 90mins. That guy is far from ideal player Milan need. Too fragile, too many touches, tame shot. No chance created for 90mins. No wonder he find playing time difficult in ATM, Barcelona and Chelsea.

  24. Agree with the rating. Thiaw is becoming one of my favorites in this squad. Now the negatives. Conceição needs his contract terminated at the end of season. It’s the DT’s job to get the players heads right and obviously Theo’s is still up his a$$ but he has role models in Rafa, João, and sorry for the stray but Santi simulates/dives too. This is coaching. Second Conceição’s love affair with João is costing us. He forces us to play through him and what has it gotten us? A 1-0 against Verona. Even after the red, once we saw Pulisic subbing out WE ALL knew the match was going to turn. Conceição turned our team over to a Chelsea player while giving the middle to a player that has bailed us out and scored important goals. If I was Pulisic I’d be looking sideways at Conceição just as Bennacer and Morata have. Gerry, I hope you are watching this sitting in your loft at Yankees Stadium and realize Conceição’s love affair cost you millions. This DT is 0-1-2 in the CL even Fonseca wouldn’t have bottled this and Pioli would have had us through against Dinamo.

    1. I gotta believe given pre-match fitness rumors that Pulisic was on a 60 min budget last night and was coming off no matter what. Otherwise it does not make sense. Take off felix and go with the guys that have been proven.

  25. Theo should be benched for the rest of the season and then sold to Man United for ridiculous money and then rot away in Manchester for all eternity.

  26. With Fonseca I was actually confident in our CL chances this year. He had us in a good position with Emerson as his RB. Now Conceiçao has a much better team and couldn’t win against a coach that’s barely been 2 weeks into the job. Smh. At some point, fans and this management will have to admit that they didn’t get it right with calling for Fonseca’s head. Fonseca left Milan and was immediately hired at Lyon(which of one of the biggest teams in France), Pioli left Milan and went Nassr with star players and still has them at 4th position on a low league table, Conceiçao left Porto and was out of a job for 7 months before Milan came and hired him. These 3 coaches are not on the same level. I’ll always defend Fonseca’s time at Milan cos believe it or not, he would have done great things here if we were just patient with him. He had us playing well. He didn’t really have a full preseason with the star players cos most of them came back late from World Cup. I wish we gave him till next season atleast. Conceiçao is such a terrible coach and y’all will soon get tired of making excuses for him

    1. This is the truth, tho they will never admit it. Fonseca is a far superior coach. He would’ve had us top 8 in Champions League and if allowed to finish the season , with the players they have added would have probably gotten top 4 as well. In the long run his style of football would have benefited the club much more. Conceicao is a huge step backwards. Totally short-sighted move by management, not trusting their own judgement and bending to the fans that don’t know sh!t.

    2. What exactly was so special under Fonseca, aside from him speaking to journalists about the problems in the locker room which might have been welcomed by the fans, but it’s generally considered a rookie mistake within the coaching job. We lacked playing style in every department and our current league position has a lot more to do with Fonseca than Conceicao. He wasn’t able to train with the stars in the summer? Guess what, Conceicao still hasn’t had the chance to train the team tactically because of the crazy schedule.

      1. Like I said he had us in great position to go thru in top 8 of Champions League with 4 straight wins including a dominating win over Real Madrid. Show me 1 performance under Conceicao that even comes close to that. Conceicao couldn’r beat Dynamo Zagreb or Feyenoord. The performances and just the football being played was miles better under Fonseca. Even the wins under Conceicoa have been terrible performances. If you take away a few miraculous late game comebacks we would be lucky to have 2 wins in the 14 games he’s coached now. Like I said, don’t let those lucky wins mask the terrible performances because the luck will soon run out… Which it has.
It’s ugly football with our players constantly grabbing opposing players, picking up a million yellow cards every match and our players diving and flopping all over the pitch. Go watch the Portuguese League if you want to see that sh!t.

        1. So Fonseca was incredible, because of a fluke win in Madrid? We weren’t dominating by any means, they missed plenty of chances and had a Rudiger 2-3 goal ruled off for a minor offside. The real Fonseca was seen a few days later when freakin’ Cagliari scored 3 goals against us. He was awful at preparing the team for the “easy” games and even went on to call them “more difficult” to handle in regards to the Champions League. What the hell? You’re at Milan, you should know how to win these games, ugly or not. As for our “spectacular” CL run, we conceded for 1-1 against 10 men Brugges in a game where Pulisic scored from a direct corner kick. We were lucky against one of the worst sides in the tournament Slovan Bratislava – 2:3 and moments of uncertainty at the end. What about these games impressed you so much? Is it because you want to defend your boys RedBird’s ridiculous summer hire? We had the chance to get Conte and went for Fonseca. It’s beyond ridiculous and that was proved on the pitch. Sure, the guy was cool in calling out Rafa and the pink haired imbecile for what they really are, but he is not a pundit, he was hired to solve these problems, not just name them.

Sergio won a trophy in his first week as a Milan coach. Has Fonseca ever won anything outside of Ukraine? Conceicao also comes after a great spell at Porto. What exactly was Fonseca famous for, beside the fact that he coached Roma for two bland years? You’re completely delusional as always, ignoring facts and making up stuff.

          1. We scored 3 goals against Cagliari and drew cos of Theo’s mistakes. And still drew 1-1 with Conceicao in charge right after beating inter. Fonseca with that Porto team, would have won even single season in Portugal and even CL with them. lol. Fonseca is better than your screaming coach Conceiçao
The same Brugge just destroyed Atalanta and are thru to the semis. But Fonzy got a good draw against them. We struggled against Slovan but we BEAT them right? lol.

          2. “We had the chance to get Conte and went for Fonseca. It’s beyond ridiculous and that was proved on the pitch.”
Go back and watch that game. He outcoached Conte by a mile. We completely outplayed Napoli with half of our starters out that match. We had more shots, more shots on target, created the better chances. Sometimes the results weren’t there but sometimes that’s on the players. The coach’s job is to come up with a gameplan that gives you a chance to win and put the players in a good position to succeed. He can’t put the ball in the net for them.
Conceicao’s gameplans have been horrendous as evidence by almost all of our first half performances. How anyone can defend him at this point is mind boggling.

      2. What was so special ? He beat Real Madrid in the CL and your lovely Conceição can’t even beat Zagreb or Feyenoord. We had a playing style under him and was creating from all sides of our field including the midfield. Even fofana got assists under him. You can’t compare the two my friend. Fonseca was miles ahead of Conceição. In 3 games with Lyon, he’s only lost to marseille which was his first few days on the job and his team still scored 2 goals and since then, his team is averaging 4 goals a game. And Conceicao can’t get more than 1 goal. lol. He is special.

        1. Fonseca got us to 8th position, a position we didn’t finish in since a decade. Real Madrid recently lost to Espanyol who are currently 15th in la Liga and in that same UCL they also lost to Lille. Our win against them is hardly a fluke. You can all you want about “style”, “performances” or whatever, but in the end the results don’t lie. In his last game with us, for our 125th birthday, Genoa drew us in San Siro.
Fonseca should have never ever been hired to begin with.

          1. The season wasn’t even half over , there was plenty of time to turn it around and I believe he would have.
ANd we would have been thru to top 8 in Champions League as well and never been in this stupid playoff with Feyenoord.
His last game was against Roma not Genoa which was another draw where we totally outplayed the other team with almost twice as many shots and more shots on target. He set the team up well, they didn’t always come thru for him.

        2. What was our position in the table upon Fonseca’s dismissal? What was our playing style? Please, support your statements with actual facts.

          1. It was barely halfway thru the season also with playing one fewer game than most of the other teams.. Positions in the table change. Again you never want to bring up Champions League where we were about 90% to finish top 8 when he was dismissed.
Under Fonseca we actually tried to pass the ball out of the back and control the game a little more not just kick it back to the other team like Conceicao or Pioli did. And he could actually adjust tactics depending on the team we were playing , again something neither Pioli nor Conceicao seem to be able to do.
What are Conceicao’s tactics other than grabbing opposing players and diving all over the pitch? I’ve yet to see any tactics.

          2. Loll all this brouhaha about the UCL which we’ll never win much less make it to a semi with this bunch. Fonseca was fired because of our position in the league not due to our UCL standings. Our president has said UCL is more of a we’ll see how far we go while the true #1 objective in the league is top 4 to guarantee we get the annual UCL money. So I don’t get this whole discussion about Fonseca and the UCL. Arguing who is better between the two is some next level absurdity. Fonseca should have never been hired…his record at Roma shows this, and with us he’s confirmed it. Conceicao would have been a good punt IFF he was hired in the summer….but taking him on midway is exposing and revealing flaws. Both different sides of the same garbage pile imo. It’s like arguing which garbage smells less worse.

          3. “barely halfway thru the season” 😂😂only you K, only you! If you were on the Titanic you’d be saying we’re barely even halfway near to that iceberg, nothing to worry about. 17 whole a$$ games, when were you going to wait for the turnaround??? Nothing in that trajectory suggested it was going upwards (L,D,W,D last 4 games). The professionals dealt with it

  27. This site is failing today, comments are not going through. I had a long post with my ratings. Let’s see if this much shorter one goes through:

    Conceição 2
    Theo Zero
    Felix 3.5
    Leão 4.5

Decent ones, Thiaw 7, MOTM. Gimenez 7.
    Others between 5.5 and 6.5

    1. Theo had a good game, aside the two stupid cards. The last three games or so, he’s done well. However, his attitude has cost us a lot, even in the past. Can’t count how many needless cards he and Calabria got in the past that impacted the game, and the next because of their absence. I guess he would be gutted with his behaviour. No one saw this coming. We had a good game up until the red card. This is where all the stupidity ends for all the players. It’s painful, but, we have to move on. Only fear is we not getting the 4th spot for champions league next season. Joao Felix, I like, but, he’s not giving much. I don’t see Milan keeping him, except his game improves. Don’t know why they didn’t sell Chukwueze. He’s not offering anything, anymore. Musah, Fofana, Reijnders, Pulisic, Leao and Felix, should work on their shooting. You watch the other teams, and see how their midfielders take shots, sometimes you wonder what our players do at training. Nico Paz scored a good goal from long range against Fiorentina, even though there was a slight deflection. We also need to improve our passing. We will need these going forward, if we are going to achieve 4th place, or win the Coppa Italia.

  28. ACM has resorted to playing what I call ‘hero ball’. The heros are Leao and Felix. The biggest losers are Pulisic and Reijnders. Enjoy moments of brillance with nothing being produced.

  29. Theo’s idiotic behvaiour is one thing but if you cannot beat a team ravaged by injuries being managed by an interim coach over two legs, let alone win Zagreb Dinamo, then you have no business being in CL.

This club has deeper issues and what’s going on on the field is just one of the symptoms. This ownership and this management are rotten and it’s evident from team performance and player’s attitude.

    1. In some ways that’s kinda what we did to win the Super Copa tbh. …new coach, zero games in, we had injury problems and the new coach boost propelled us to victory. Not too far away from what Feyenoord did. But that they gave us their star striker and still won is the part that gets to me the most. That’s a well structured organization

  30. I’ve been suspecting it from a long time, but I am now certain the pink haired imbecile is boycotting the team. What a joke of a player, any time he puts the captain armband is a bigger embarrassment than any loss on the football pitch. Him, putting the final nail on this season’s coffin, is just a perfect picture of how the club is being managed – without a sporting director, respect for values and with no regard to the players’ discipline. It’s all about the accounts. Well, the joke’s on them, because we just lost a bunch of money and we’re about to lose a hell of a lot more if we don’t qualify for Champions League, while someone will have to explain that to the American clown and provide reasons as to why it happened.

  31. Although I’m terribly disappointed with the result,it’s not the end of the world as some people are making it seem. You win some you lose some.
But some points to note :
1 – Either Sergio is in love with Felix or Felix has his nudes. Its insane to be one man down and keep two luxury players on the pitch while taking out the hardworking on in pulisic. Felix should have been taken off.
And I don’t get the obsession with playing all the balls through him and leao. This makes out attacks preidcatble and teams have figured it out.

For Theo, looking at the replay again,he dived yes but he or any Milan player for that matter didn’t ask for a penalty so why the red card and not a warning. That decision seemed too harsh even though the dive was a brain dead decision from Theo.

  32. None of this is Felix’s fault. But, why do you take off Pulisic instead of Felix with that sub? Pulisic wins games… he has proven this many times. Felix is untested and has shown nothing. This also could have gone to penalties and he is our number penalty taker. But no… you take off Pulisic and Gimenez. I don’t understand. Theo what a stupid dive… zero discipline. We should have hired De Zerbi in the summer.

  33. Im sorry but also, how
Do you manage to only score 1 goals in 180+ mins with these “fab four”? Were they not supposed to be our attacking power all mighty saviours? Theo is to blame but come on we should have scored at least 3. Lol we were in control until the red card. What so if theo didnt get a red card it would have gone to penalties? And then still be dropped out of UCL?

    1. “ Do you manage to only score 1 goals in 180+ mins with these “fab four”? Were they not supposed to be our attacking power all mighty saviours?”
This is the truth. And tells you a lot about the coach. Terrible coach without a tactics.

    2. Well… This is what you get when your so-called MVP cannot get a single pass to his teammates in the last 1/4 of the pitch. Zero end product. And you sub off the only player capable of producing goals. Simple.

  34. such a frustrating performance. We were controlling the game and the second goal seemed to becoming before Theo’s totally stupid red card. Correct decision by the officials on both yellows he received.

We should have got a second in the 1st half for our dominance and in the end that is what cost us once Theo imploded and failed his team mates.

Agree with many of the comments that Conceicao made the wrong choices with many of his subs after the red card. He does seem to favour Felix too much.
Felix or Leao should have been withdrawn instead of Pulisic. Again having not withdrawn either of those two then; they should have been withdrawn for Tammy to come on instead of Gimenez.

    Overall.
    So disappointing.
Should never have even been in this tie if we had got the job done against Zagreb.

  35. Time to clear the club od:
Rebird, Zlatan, Concecao, Theo (should never wear a Milan shirt ever again), Leao, Musah.
Bring back Maldini and an owner with a vision. Maybe then we can rebuild for the future

  36. Already predicted Milan will lost.

I just can’t believe i will say this but Conceicau is WORST than Fonseca 🤣🤦‍♂️

    sigh…another banter era is coming

  37. By the way, Pulisic was a question mark for the starting lineup because of fitness issues lately, what about Conceicao’s decision to sub him off is so hard to understand?

    1. Because of that (potential fitness issue) I understand why he was subbed off (had it in my original post that got swallowed). Besides, Pulisic seems to only have 70 good minutes in him when fully fit or load managed like under Pioli.
Giminez however that’s a different kettle of fish. Not sure about that substitution

        1. I’m not saying he can’t put in a 90 minute shift but his body responds much better to load management. Pioli used to sub him off almost religiously at the 70min mark, zero injuries and was able to reap contributions the entire season.
Look at how he relapsed right after said Copa games for instance. Sometimes you gotta know the players and not run them into the ground…and that’s different for each player

  38. I beseech you all, if I’m to ask you all now that who’s to be blame for today’s match, is it the coach for his selection or Theo?

    Crossing fingers🙄🙄

    1. Conceicao did his part, preparing the team in an adequate matter. We dominated and could have scored at least three goals. By the way, one of the misses was, shockingly, the pink haired guy bad shot from close range.

The blame should be pointed to the ridiculous management. They left the coaches alone to deal with spoiled kids in the locker room, with only the odd player like Gabbia and Pulisic displaying professionalism. You can only go so far without a strong bond in the locker room. I knew the season would be a disaster when the spoiled kids went to drink water in the opposite side of the pitch while Fonseca was giving instructions against Lazio. Something like this can’t be fixed over night and especially not by clowns like Zlatan, Furlani and Moncada.

  39. He looked fit to me. Questioning fitness is an excuse to sub a player or leave out of the lineup so you can play your lover and hope he gives good results and assumes the starting position. João has done nothing for Milan and has played more than he should.

    1. Pulisic not being able to play for 90 minutes has literally nothing to do with whether Felix should’ve stayed on the pitch or not. Being a man down is bad enough, was Conceicao supposed to keep a player with fitness problems, so that we lose even more intensity and possibly risk our key player getting a serious injury?

  40. if the rumour is that Nuno Mendes is available for 50 million then we take that in a heartbeat. Man United have likely dropped out of the race of the signings of Dorgu and likely Quenda, it’s somewhat realistic. Luis Enrique has been both playing him out of position and not starting them, so he might be willing to move. The only problem is Real Madrid might contest for him. The only edge we have, is he’s more of a franchise player, and hopefully Leão could sway him, so let’s hope that doesn’t happen. PSG might be willing to do business as well as considering recent efforts to bring in French talent.

  41. Honest truth is the referee has got no business showing a second yellow for that, sure he goes down, but he didn’t appeal for a penalty to the ref anyway. This ref even ruined the game against roma last year in europa.
I don’t know why everyone’s trashing Theo when there’s arguably no other left back that can change a game like him, he was also playing pretty good, making runs forward before that card.

My opinion is conciecaos gotta go, no improvement from Fonseca, and actually a lot have players have dropped a level since he took over like Fofana, Gabbia, Pulisic. After the red this guy was confused, didn’t know who to put in, take out, move around.

This team needs a real winning coach like Allegri.

  42. It appears we disagree on whether Pulisic is carrying a knock or not because to me he looks fit. Conceição hitched his wagon to João and all he has received in return is one pointless goal against Roma and a bunch of shoulda coulda moments where others would have produced. Even tonight, all João’s dribbling, exciting play netted nothing. The goal came from Pulisic’s cross nothing to do with João. Even the Empoli goals came from Pulisic nothing from João. João’s addition to the squad and Conceição plan to make him the poster child is hurting us. His play is taking away from our actual producers (Reijnders and Pulisic).

    1. What exactly are the alternatives in regards to the starting lineup? Field Musah instead of Felix? The American “poster child” of RedTurd who is yet to score his FIRST goal for Milan almost two years after his transfer. We have no midfielders aside from the two usual suspects who are incredibly tired. Felix is the only one who fits Conceicao’s 4-4-2 idea with a lighter striker/playmaker behind Gimenez. Blaming him for the loss is utter nonsense. He had a bad game. Hernandez, meanwhile, shot us in the leg. These are two completely different wrongdoings.

  43. What Theo did tonight is unforgivable, and he contributes more fouls and blunders than he does goals and assists. His best form is behind him and it makes sense for him and Milan to part ways. But the problems here are larger than one player. This team seriously lacks in fundamentals. The play is lackadaisical in both phases. Leao does not understand the game well in most situations, and our midfield is non existent at times. Forwards when they are in the box the first instinct should to be to shoot the ball hard and low on target. How many times have we seen crosses to no one and pull back passes that goes straight through to the other team so they can start a counter attack? How many games with 15 shots but only two on target? Until this team learns to focus on fundamentals and to treat every adversary as worthy of their best effort, they will never be a good team.

  44. Rest against other teams not a CL playoff match. Play Reijnders at the 10 and your American poster child in the double pivot with Fofana. Musah did his job better than João. João’s job is to create/score goals and he did nothing of the sort. Musah marshaled the midfield only for João to bottle our attack needing Pulisic’s cross to help give us the lead while João hits the ball straight to keeper or gets in everyone else way. Mate, you can have João if you’d like but Milan have more pressing needs at the moment.

  45. Disappointing result, but I am suspicious of Theo, either he is stupid or Theo is involved in a football match fixing scandal, diving is stupid

  46. WTF Theo to blame.. it’s all you’re fault all the red bird capitalist, director and advisor. Team build by integrity and loyalty..first Tonali, Maldini Paolo n Daniel, Pobega, Colombo, Calabria they’re all dumped.
    This is what you get..

  47. For pink hair , after this match now it is imposible for ACM granted your request salary 8m euro nett /season. Not only you make club losing 11m euro from losing in group stage ( play off) but also many fans will feel angry to you. ACM must sell pink hair in summer before he affected other player, he is not deserve to be captain , 35 years paolo maldini when playing still better than pink hair

  48. maybe there were some chemical on theo’s hair color that makes the brain rot.. but I think this will give him a hard lesson.. grow up stronger theo.. I miss the old you with your darting sprint and shoot.

  49. AC Milan, a club steeped in history and tradition, finds itself at a precarious juncture. Despite boasting an array of individually talented players, the team’s inability to function as a cohesive unit has become its Achilles’ heel. These stars, rather than lifting the squad, have increasingly become burdensome liabilities—players whose egos and attitudes overshadow their undeniable skill sets.

Take Theo Hernández, for example. Blessed with incredible athleticism, technical ability, and attacking flair, he is undoubtedly one of the most gifted full-backs in world football. Yet, his recent conduct both on and off the pitch raises serious concerns. A player of his caliber should lead by example, showing respect to his teammates, coaching staff, and the passionate supporters who fill San Siro week after week. Unfortunately, Theo’s behavior suggests otherwise. His lack of respect for the collective ethos of the team makes it clear that his time at AC Milan must come to an end. The club cannot afford to carry passengers who prioritize personal agendas over team success.

Then there’s Yunus Musah, whose temperament issues have been troubling. In recent matches, his body language and decision-making have exuded nothing but disdain and disrespect. One glaring incident involved him losing possession and then standing idly by while an opposing player advanced toward goal unchecked. Instead of sprinting back to defend or attempting to rectify his mistake, Musah simply watched—a cardinal sin in any professional athlete’s book. Such moments are unacceptable and reflect poorly not just on him but on the entire culture within the dressing room.

The acquisition of Walker has proven to be another misstep. Cast aside by Manchester City, he arrived at AC Milan without much expectation—and yet, somehow, fans were led to believe he could be a transformative figure. This misplaced optimism speaks volumes about the current administration’s disconnect from reality. It’s almost laughable how little impact Walker has had, given the hype surrounding his arrival. He represents everything wrong with the club’s transfer strategy: signing players based on reputation rather than genuine need or potential contribution.

Rafael Leão, despite his undeniable talent, continues to frustrate. Playing primarily on the left wing, one would expect him to deliver accurate crosses consistently—a fundamental aspect of his role. Yet, in six years, he has failed to produce even a single noteworthy cross. How can a winger neglect such a basic responsibility? If crossing isn’t part of your repertoire, why haven’t you worked tirelessly to improve it? Leão’s reluctance to address this glaring weakness is baffling and unacceptable for someone wearing the iconic red and black jersey.

In midfield, the situation is equally dire. Bennacer stood out as the only truly effective midfielder during his tenure, yet instead of building around him, the club chose to sell him. What a colossal waste of talent and opportunity! His departure leaves a gaping void in the heart of the team, exposing the lack of vision and planning in the current setup.

This brings us to the root of the problem: the administration. Under their watch, AC Milan risks undoing all the hard work that brought the club its historic 19th Scudetto. Their approach appears less about progress and more about dismantling what was painstakingly built under previous regimes. Whether driven by ego, incompetence, or instructions from above, they seem intent on destroying the very fabric of this legendary institution. They have squandered resources, alienated key figures, and fostered a toxic environment where mediocrity thrives.

Enough is enough. For the sake of AC Milan’s future, drastic changes are needed. Sell the players who no longer align with the club’s values or ambitions—Theo, Musah, Walker, and others whose presence undermines team unity. Bring in fresh talent, individuals who understand the privilege of representing this storied club and are willing to fight for its legacy. More importantly, overhaul the management entirely. Either replace the current regime with competent leaders who respect the club’s history or sell the club to someone who will honor its traditions and restore its former glory.

AC Milan deserves better. Its fans deserve better. The Rossoneri faithful have endured too many years of disappointment and mismanagement. It’s time to take bold action and set the club back on the path to greatness. Anything less is an insult to the rich heritage of this magnificent team

  50. It wasn’t a red card. I see 3 fans of Milan on this whole website. Rest of you are bi***es that are writing about pink hair and what not. I

  51. Google translated quote:

Former Feyenoord star Pierre van Hooijdonk comes down hard on Theo Hernandez. Here are his words to Ziggo Sport:

“Another crazy European night. A battered Feyenoord, with so many injuries and 1-0 down after half a minute… Then suddenly that idiot Theo Hernández comes to help us.”

What more to add? Except that yesterday’s match sealed Theo’s fate. He will 100% leave next summer. So… Why not prepare for it already and start preparing Bartesaghi? Now is the chance to see whether he’s good enough for Milan (to be a backup) or do we need 2 new LBs. Theo is history. Theo is gone. Has been since last summer actually. Mentally. We’ve all seen it.

  52. From the clips Feyenoord goal looks like Bartesaghi fault. He should have had more contact so as not to allow the player hit the target. If he wants more apperances he has to up his game
