AC Milan clinched a comfortable 2-0 win against Monza in the final game of the season. Several players did well in attack and below are the ratings for the Rossoneri.
If you haven’t already, make sure to check out how we decide the player ratings. From the scale to what affects the rating, we have compiled everything there. Note: I didn’t name any MOTM tonight due to multiple players on the same rating.
Starting XI
Maignan (7): He preserved the clean sheet with a fantastic reflex save in the dying minutes (which was also Monza’s second shot on target). He truly showed his class there and while he was heading for a 6, such a save bumps him up significantly.
Tomori (6.5): The Englishman was solid in defence, with some good interceptions thanks to aggressive positioning, but his main contribution came in attack tonight. He often pushed forward to offer support and had some very nice crosses, including the one for Joao Felix when he hit the bar.
Gabbia (7): He had some good passes forward in the first half, but ultimately it was mostly defending in that period of the game. It was the same in the second half, with little involvement in the build-up, but then he opened the scoring after a nice run and finish on a corner.

Pavlovic (6): We saw a nice free-kick from him in the first half, even if the goalkeeper perhaps made it look better than it was, and he was solid overall in defence. He definitely showed enough to get a pass here.
Musah (5): Granted that almost every single player was poor in the first half, the American certainly didn’t improve his chances of staying at the club. In usual fashion, he skied an effort on the edge of the box and then completely mishit a pass in another good position.
Loftus-Cheek (6): He wasn’t brilliant in transition defensively, often pushing up very high to press, only to be beaten by a simple flick or turn. Then again, he’s not a defensive midfielder and we did at least see some good tackles and interceptions from him, as well as some nice short passes all over the pitch.
Reijnders (6.5): In a first half that was incredibly dull, he at least dared to attempt some advanced passes and runs as well. The control of his teammates often let him down in that sense. He missed a good chance in the second half, but ultimately his contribution was more than average tonight.
Bartesaghi (6): It was very average from him, it has to be said, but we did see a couple of good crosses (one for Camarda) and decent ability on the ball. Defensively, he could have done better on a couple of occasions but was solid overall.
Pulisic (7): He was involved in a lot from start to finish, showing off good technique, skill and unselfishness in many situations. He came somewhat close to a goal in the second half, following a good run, but hit the side-netting. It was a shame that he couldn’t set a new personal record because all things considered, it was a very positive display tonight.
Jovic (5): In the entire first half, he only had like one good flick, which was for Pulisic on the left flank. It was definitely right to take him off and his replacement proved that. If it ends up being his last game for Milan, he will surely be very disappointed about the ending.
Joao Felix (7): He missed a 1v1 early in the first half, which wasn’t fantastic from him overall aside from some good flicks and touches. In the second half, however, he was like a completely different player with very nice combination play and good decision-making.

He won the free-kick that he converted himself (nice strike, even if the wall wasn’t amazing) and also hit the bar earlier on with a great header. In short, had it not been for the first half, he would have easily been the MOTM here.
Substitutes
Camarda (6.5): The youngster was incredibly lively after coming on, nearly scoring a great goal after lifting it over the defender and then forcing the keeper to a good save on the volley. It was slight handball anyway so it wouldn’t have counted, but he showed his ability there.
He combined well with his teammates (especially a nice chest-down for Joao Felix), but also missed a couple of good chances. One of them he definitely should have got on target, after a good pass by Chukwueze. Towards the end, he lost a bit of energy too.
Chukwueze (7): Like Camarda, he entered the pitch with a lot of energy and found a lot of success with his dribbling attempts. He set up Camarda for one good chance, as said, but before that he also got the assist for the opener with a nice corner. We saw some good stuff after that too, so it was definitely positive from him.
Jimenez (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.
Fofana (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.
Florenzi (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.
Camarda looks bigger and stronger than the last time I saw him play. He handled himself well vs grown men defenders. He should be given a chance next season to compete for significant playing time.
Finally this season is over and now it’s time to get rid of some of the deadweight and especially the cancers in the locker room.
Last time I checked he had roughly grown 5 centimeters so i believe he is now 1.89 meter tall.
He is def taller now, i noticed it too.
Checked up on it again and yes he has grown 5 centimeters as he was 1.84 in the recent year and now is 1.89. He will probably end up at 1.91-93 or something unless there is a lot of growth back in him but as he is 17 I doubt it will be much more than that he grows.
Yeah, last time in December 2024 i saw him hugging Pippo who is listed less than 6′ and they were the same height. We shouldn’t sell him because taller young good attitude striker and also has great prospect italian nationality is usually more precious for the coming years.
I agree we definitely shouldn’t sell him as he hopefully could become a bandiera for both club and country but only time will tell. Height can be good but the taller you get there is generally also a potential for losing some athleticismn when gaining in size of height as football isn’t basketball either.
One of my nephews was freaking 1.95 when he was 16 😀
Yes, that’s why they have to train muscle mass to balance their height, like Zlatan, Haaland, and recently Lukaku who is still fast upfront.
RLC was shocking all game, one good tackle, he deserves a 5.
I found frustrating as well.
Looks like Pulisic gave Felix the opportunity to take that shot and leave on a high note.
no, cp11 was trying to take it from him
oh you’re the expert. anyway Felix appreciated the opportunity.
Yes, you can see Felix comes up and thanks Puli after scoring that. Would by right be Pulisic’s to take but I think he allowed Felix to have a go.
It’s finally over.
Now, buckle up fellow Milanistas and Gerryboys, we’re in for a bumpy ride🍿
In for a bumpy ride? Hasn’t it honestly been bumpy enough already since that 4sshole bought the club?
The first half was really dour.
Bartesaghi did ok but I don’t think he is suited to the WB formation. He doesn’t have the burst of speed and looks more of a full back.
Musah was fairly anonymous on the other flank.
With the 3421 formation it felt like we lacked something to take advantage of the wings with this starting lineup.
The subsitutions at half time made a difference.
Chukwueze add a lot.
I thought we saw enough of Jimenez to give him a pass.
Pulisic was trying hard all game.
Felix was frustrating at times in the first half but was very good in the second.
Tomori surprised me in the 2nd half.
At least we managed to secure at least 8th and avoiding the early rounds of the coppa.
Now we wait and see what the changes are.
I’m warming up to Chuck being a very good sub. I’ll have to ignore the price tag but still I’m warming up. He seems to inject a different set of problems for the opposition.
Of course as soon as I say that they’ll sell him lol 😅
He’s deserved a lot more playing time than he had received lately
I’ve have a theory since two summers ago when CP and Chukwueze came to Milan. I think the plan all along was eventually to moved on from Leão and play CP as the LW and Chukwueze on the RW. We started this season with Chukwueze starting on the wing with CP centrally. When Leão had his power struggle with the management it put this into motion. They played Leão because they wanted to win and once we knew all was lost they sat him. Tonight you could see the game plan was for Reijnders and Pulisic to be the driving forces. Management was trying to decide if they are going to sell Reijnders or Leão and use some of the money to bring in a defensive midfielder like Ricci. Next season Santi at the 9 CP LW Chukwueze RW Ricci 6 Reijnders Fofana 8s Gabbia and Pavolvic CB Jimenez RB and Theo will stay at RB and Mike will remain on goal.
He’s also now one of the club’s longest serving players.
He’s a regular elder statesman.
Bartesaghi has played about 5 mins because Milan have been focusing on developing a Real Madrid player.
In recent games Jimenez has been critical to the ability to play as WB and allow 3 CBs.
As I mentioned above Bartesaghi doesn’t suit this formation unless he was filling in for Pavlovic. IMO.
Jimenez is our player.
Not the same situation as Diaz.
The buy back clause can be refused if the player doesn’t want to go back.
Agree though that there is risk in investing time in him.
Bartesaghi has been getting plenty of game time with the Futuro and was needed in their relegation battle.
Chuk can be a back up, but we need some top class winger if we are serious for next season. Its prob time for Leao to go, i would still keep Theo, he just need a bit of motivation. The mid needs compleate overhall, especially if they sell Rejndiers. Coaches Sarri, De Zerbi, Italiano, maybe Klopp if he still wants to coach.
If you would keep Theo and get rid of Leao, I’m sorry I can’t take anything you say seriously.
Musah is so bad 😄 He isn’t even reliable enough to be a bench player.
Hopefully still reckoned reliable enough to be sold straight up in the summer.
Hopefully still reckoned reliable enough to be bought……
I want to see him succeed but he seems to be getting worse with every appearance.
Seems a sale would be best for all.
Musah has problems with confidence. Conceicao has set him back. Whether Milan sell him or not, it’ll take some time for him to recover.
Agree
Yet there are still experts on this comment section who claim “He has potential” 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
I’m sure if we all look REALLY hard enough we might see some of that potential in 10-20 years…
Or not. Definitely not.
Now we can get down to business. Get rid of RLC, Felix, Walker, Emerson, Musah, And potentially sell leao Theo or maignan since we will likely have to sell at least 1 due to no ucl. Buy Frendrup/Ricci for defensive midfield, send Abraham back and keep Alexis and buy a a forward who knows how to score to rival santi and Jovic (who deserves a new deal after what he’s done), buy a leader in CB and sell tomori to the first epl club who will part with 35mil, shouldn’t be hard. Bring in a REAL RIGHT BACK, not another 36yr old retiree or another spurs outcast who wouldn’t even start for Monza. Bring in a LB to either rival or replace Theo, and buy an actual starting quality winger opposite to pulisic. Its genuinely rocket science to see where we need signings of quality. Now watch this circus management screw it up again..
This is when the fun really starts…
If we sell all 25 or 50 or however number of players we have and bring in another 50 or so, and change our kit, we’re still AC Milan because that’s our name.
(Sarcasm)
If this team is to stand a chance next season, we should do whatever is needed to keep Pulisic, Reijnders, Fofana and Maignan. The defense needs a complete overhaul. The chaos at the back has been like watching a badly made horror movie.
I wouldn’t give up on Chuck too early. Also, can Musah- play RB. He is not a winger.
I think it is something he has done for the national team.
A couple of thoughts.
1. Musah is done
2. I thought the same about Felix in the first half. I actually thought in my head Musah and Felix shouldn’t be on any Serie A team.
3, hats of the Jaeo for having a really strong second half
4. I keep saying this…but this team is so devoid of creative passers. The first half was excruciating
5. Is there a world where Milan keep Chuk as the first guy off the bench type? If Laeo is sold I think Chuk would be the perfect guy to play the super sub. As there will be way more minutes available as a sub and a spot starter. He really is creative.
6. I do not understand why RLC doesn’t focus on being a defensive mid destroyer type. He has the athleticism and physicality…I just think he thinks he should be a 9. But every time he goes forward he looks like shit.
7. Monza sucks…and they still got a goal off on the far post…why?
8. Maignon’s save on that header??? Just sign him
9. If Milan can find a defensive mid and a center back who are good at both defense and can distribute the ball through the lines. It is worth selling Laeo. But if they sell Laeo and buy a slightly cheaper winger i will be distraught.
10. Who is the captain of this team? They need a “guy”. I would love if we could have Nesta go back in a Time Machine and play CB for us.
11. This team needs one or two players and an identity. Please hire a coach who can provide this. Forza.
👍👍👍
I have the same feeling after watching that game as at the end of 3 hours of “Boyhood” – THANK GOD IT’S OVER…
Finally the season is done.
Disaster, failure, embarrassment, etc….are aptly describe the disgrace we witnessed this year. All starts from the top. We have been in a downward spiral ever since we fired M&M. That is a fact. Why> because we have an absent owner who cares little about the success of the club and more about lining his investors pockets, and because we have a banker with zero experience running our football club. Failing to sign a real winning coach (alike Conte) just showed the lack of ambition they had. Installing a puppet (Ibra) in a feeble attempt to appease the fans backfired.
Another failure of a transfer campaign both summer and winter. So many garbage signings in the past few years – Millions and millions wasted. In truth, only Pulisic, Reindjers and Fofana proved their worth. The rest? Failure.
Now the sales will come. Reindjers will be forced out (just like Tonali) and we will pocket most of the $$ and buy a cheaper alternative. Instead of building from our core we will dump most of them. Theo, Leao, Mike, Tomori, Thiaw – all on the chopping block. Brilliant strategy. But that is what you get when you have a team with no project, no vision and a collection of ego driven power hungry individuals running our club.
What a Disgrace.
Finally the Curva Sud had it right today: Go Away Redbird!
I am with you Juro, Redturd Raus.
