Starting XI
Maignan (6): He wasn’t really called into action, except for one low save which he handled well. There isn’t really anything else to say.
Tomori (5.5): While the defensive display was okay, most of the time anyway, he committed a few too many fouls for my liking. He also lacked some passing ability in the build-up in a few key moments, especially when Milan struggled to play out the back.
Gabbia (6): I said last week that we needed to see a more commanding display and today was a step in the right direction. He cleared several dangerous passes and almost had a goal as well after just a few minutes. Rightfully disallowed, but decent overall from him tonight.
Pavlovic (6): Truth be told, the Serbian came close to getting a 5.5 here. He got done one too many times in the first half, leading to some good chances for Lecce, but he improved a lot in the second half. Above all, he helped open up things with his runs forward. One stood out, when he ran the length of the pitch and set up Gimenez.
Musah (6): Many like to give him criticism, but today it must be said that he was far from a problem. Not even in the first half, as he was involved in the few chances that Milan created then, with the cut-back for RLC and then a nice pass behind the defence for Modric. Having said that, it was nothing to brag about.
Loftus-Cheek (7): The goal obviously does a lot for his rating here, and rightfully so given the importance and how good that header was (almost with his back facing the goal). In open play, the first half was pretty rough but he found better positions in the second, allowing Milan to play more vertical passes.

Modric (7.5 – MOTM): You almost feel sorry for him at times, or at least I did in the first half. Milan didn’t have any confidence in the build-up then and the Croatian was the only one who played vertical passes. In the end, he got a very nice assist (two if you count Gabbia’s disallowed goal) and played an instrumental role overall. A few misplaced passes to note, but insignificant ones.
Fofana (5.5): It’s a difficult one to assess because, on the one hand, he didn’t really add much to the game for a player in his role. He did, however, put Gimenez through on goal with a good pass and had a decent effort towards the end. Still, I’m leaning more to 5.5 than 6.
Estupinan (5.5): The second half was better, let’s just say that straight away, but if he plays like in the first half then Milan have a problem. He’s super left-footed, even more so than Theo, and this creates some issues. He lost the ball once and Lecce should have scored from that. Again, better in the second half but a better opponent would have punished him.
Gimenez (5.5): Sadly, tonight wasn’t a performance that strengthened his position. Yes, he was unlucky with the offside goal after a good touch and finish, but he missed a huge chance in the first half. There was also a good opportunity when Pavlovic set him up. The rating is improved by the good action on the disallowed goal and the involvement (somewhat) in the second goal.
Saelemaekers (6.5): He continues to be a very useful player, working hard in both phases, moving up and down as well as sideways. The feeling was that he tried to overdo things in the first half, but he found his composure in the second with the disallowed assist for Gimenez (narrow offside) and then the free-kick one that Milan scored on.
Substitutes
Pulisic (7): We didn’t really see that much from him before the goal, but he displayed good awareness and above all, composure to find the back of the net. Let’s hope he recovers from the ankle discomfort fully so that he can start again.

Ricci (6): He forced Falcone to a good save with a nice shot from a narrow angle, and picked up some good positions. Perhaps should have had a penalty too but that was more so due to a clumsy Lecce defender rather than brilliance.
Balentien (N/A): Nice to see the Milan Futuro’s new signing playing, but I didn’t see enough to give him a rating.

No way RLC got only half a grade less than Modric…the rest, ok.
A few Thoughts
1. This was a well played game. Milan dominated.
2. Modric is exactly what this team needed an elite distributor of the ball. When Laeo and Pulisic get back to full health I think Modric could lead the Seria A in assists
3. I think the second best signing so far is Estupian. I like his blend of defense and offense
4. Strikers by nature will have the most offsides calls but Gimenez really has to do better. It is clear he is a scorer…that’s the hard part. Staying insides should be the easy part
5. I hope Koni is better than our CBs because we really are in need of a rock back there. Pav, Gabbia, and Tomori are fine. But none seems to be the kind of player you build a defense around.
6. Hats off to Musah he looked good out there today. Musah’s problem is the opposite of Fofanas problem. He is afraid to shoot.
7. Nice header by RLC, and a little better distribution today…a little
8. This might sound critical after a nice win but the whole game I was thinking of players I do NOT want starting for Milan regularly. Today’s list includes Tomori, Gabia, Fofana, Musah, and Gimnez. When Laeo, Pulisic, and Jashari get healthy that helps..but that is still too many players that are not quality enough to be regular starters
RLC was MOTM as voted by the on-site technical committee at the game. He won a number of 50/50 challenges and provides another Big Body when the other team has a corner kick.
Modric really makes the midfield tick. he sees the field like no other and his patience and vision really make a difference in opening up bunkering teams.
Pulisic is Pulisic. Last year’s Milan player of the year in my book. He, Maignan, Leao and Modric are a cut above.
(and Fofana put a shot ON GOAL! woo-woo!)
Which game? RLC Ground duels won – 0 out of 4.
I was shocked when Fofanas shot was on target!! Forced a good save.
Kessie used to shot bird (airball) but he fixed it til now.
A good side would have battered us, sorry.
Facts!
fact!
Well the boys got it done despite Allegra’s best effort to lose another one.
Happy for RLC , he gets enough unwarranted hate on here, but the fact is for the most part when he is healthy he has performed well.
It must pain Isak to give Pulisic a good rating, notice how he still has to throw a negative comment in there. Pathetic. “We didn’t see much before the goal”. He didn’t play much before the goal, genius. Do you not know he came in around the 75th minute?
Meanwhile he gives Saleamakers a 6.5. For what? It’s the same Saleamkers as always. The end product is never there.
Giminez is awful. Nothing more to say on that.
Good game from Musah, that must bother all the “headless chicken” folks on here.
I want to see Ricci start and De Winter. But Allegro probably thinks this was a good performance.
I was thinking the same thing about Pulisic. “Didn’t see much of him” because he was on the bench for the first 3/4 of the game….
Yeah he has a huge bias towards Pulisic. Anytime Pulisic doesn’t score he gives him a bad rating, even tho Pulisic”s workmate is usually the best on the team. And then when he is forced to give Pulisic a good rating he always has to throw one or two negative comments in there. Zero credibility when it comes to the ratings.
even more than 3/4 he came on with 15 minutes left lol
He only did that because on his other article I said incoming 6 for Pulisic after the goal.
I caught that too lol 😅
Pulisic was ten minutes in the match before the goal a whole ten minutes.
Spot on with everything
dude. It’s not hard to spell the players / coach name properly.
Much better performance and well deserved 3 points.
Outside of couple individual mistakes, pretty clean game defensively.
Offensively, not having a striker that can at least hold up the ball for an extra second is the biggest problem. Gimenez is not good. He is short, slow, poor first touch, can’t hold up the ball and is very one footed. They better sign a striker in the next 3 days. You can’t go for the next 4 months with Gimenez. At best he is a backup.
Modric can be 50 years old but he is still class. With better striker and with healthy wingers, he’ll easily finish this season with double digits assists.
Saelemaekers was awesome again.
Estupiñán started sloppy again but he improved.
Musah did his job. But it was funny when Allegri was screaming in his face to slow down with the throw in at the end of the game.
Fofana did ok.
RLC scored the goal but he is so frustrating to watch. He is the biggest dude on the pitch but he is soft.
Hopefully they bring couple more players by Monday. The front line will look much different after the break.
Gotta give Allegri and the players credit for winning this game playing without any actual forwards (Sorry Gimenez). It wasn’t pretty but a win is a win.
“Saleamakers was awesome again”. at What exactly?
That’s an extremely low bar for “Awesome”.
I guess if you are easily impressed by some dribbling that never leads to anything, but like I said before if that’s your thing you must love Chukuweze.
He’s the same player we couldn’t wait to get rid of before. The end product is never there with him. He average about 2 goals a season for us when he was our starting RW for years. Nothing has changed.
“Saelemakers was awesome again”. At what exactly? You must have an extremely low bar for Awesome. And again? When has he ever been awesome? He’s the same player he has always been for us, that we couldn’t wait to get rid of. Like I said before, if you are impressed by some dribbling that never leads to anything you must love Chukuweze.
The end product is never there with him. He’s an ok player that would be better suited coming off the bench. Nothing more. You must be the first person to ever use the word Awesome to describe him.
First of all he gives 1000% every time he plays.
The first goal happened because of his hustle, not Pulisic.
He created the goal that Gimenez scored but was taken away.
Saelemaekers and Modric were the only creative players Milan had this first 2 games.
Saelemaekers was the only player in these 2 games that can actually beat and go past his man.
Compared to the rest of the players, with exception or Modric, he is awesome on this team.
Calm down, no one called for him to win the Ballon Dor. I can appreciate a hard worker especially after what I have seen from most Milan players over the last 2 years.
And yeah, he will most likely come off the bench unless Allegri uses him as a wing-back, which is his best position.
Last season at toma he had 7 goals and 7 assists in 1800 minutes, thats an awesome return for a winger back. If he replicates that at Milan, he is my milan player of the year.
Awesome 👌
“First of all he gives 1000% every time he plays.”
You could say the same thing about Musah, that doesn’t buy him any cover on here.
Yes, he can dribble past his man…so can Chuku…and then what?
So you think the one season he had where he actually put up decent numbers is who he is and not the other 5 seasons where he averaged about 2 goals a year while being a starting RW? Ok. I’m sure you are right. Totally Awesome!
And don’t ever compare him to Pulisic, please. That’s just foolish. Pulisic had more goals and assists last season than Salad does in his entire career.
Was he or was he not involved in the play that lead to the 1st goal?
Was he or was he not involved in the Gimenez goal that was taken away?
What are you trying to prove here?
I wasn’t comparing him with Pulisic i purposely mentioned Pulisic because you always complain about his ratings.
Milan was in the lead before Pulisic came in the game and Saelemaekers was very much responsible for that lead.
Milan is better of with him than without him.
They won the game.
Are you comparing musah and choku with Salemaekers? You must not have eyes my man!!!
Did you notice any difference in performance between Sale56 and RLC/Fofana?
Yet you think RLC did good, a guy that had 32 touches and didn’t take away one ball, had only 20 passes. How can anyone take you seriously? But you hate Saelemakers? MK you often accuse people of racism but it seems if a player is black he gets a pass from you, whatever they do. What is that about?
Saalemakers was indeed good vs Lecce
“axiom”
“that we couldn’t wait to get rid of”
No we didn’t. First time it was Saelemakers himself who asked to leave because he didn’t like having so little playtime and then he was loaned again DESPITE Fonseca asking to keep him.
Roma clearly did him well, his dribbling is so much better, he is quite disturbing for defenders, his passes were quite good and could have gotten a nice assist if Giménez wasn’t offside.
During most of the game, he and Modrić were the only 2 with a resemblance of creativity and forward play.
And finally, he can play LW, RW and RWB. Tonight he was a SS.
Is that why neither Bologna nor Roma wanted to keep him?
I’m sure he will continue with his 2 goal per season average for us. He lost his starting spot to Messias who was delivering packages a year before, and deservedly so.
Yes, he can play all those positions but none of them at an above average level. He is a useful player to have on the squad but if he is starting every game we are in big trouble.
Both Bologna and Roma wanted to keep him. Are we going to pretend that wasn’t the case?
Fonseca wanted him at Milan and management on the last day sent him to Roma.
Roma wanted to keep him but Allegri requested from Milan management to not sell him.
Why are you bringing up what happened 2 years ago?
People grow and inprove, as they should. He improved. You just refuse to see it or acknowledge it
Yes Z. They both wanted him so badly, they just didn’t want to spend any money to keep him. Milan absolutely would have sold him to either team if they made a decent offer.
If you say he improved, he must have. He looks like the same player to me. Let me know when he starts producing any goals and assists. I’ll admit I was wrong.
OK, then allow me to let you know that Saelemaekers did produce a goal in today’s game. Did you watch the game?
If he doesn’t steal the ball and then gets fouled, the RLC goal doesn’t happen.
Thank you Saelemaekers, that was AWESOME.
@Z wow. That’s what we are counting now? What’s next, start giving him hockey assists? It’s getting desperate if that’s what qualifies as awesome. If he’s awesome, what is Pulisic, Leao and Modric? You know players who actually get goals and assists. I get that you like him but this is getting silly.
“Is that why neither Bologna nor Roma wanted to keep him”
Tell us you don’t know the difference between an obligation and an option is without telling us
Yes IKWYDLS, they had an option to buy and they did not.
Thank you for making my point. Nobody would take him with an obligation to buy. Put a few seconds of thought in before you comment.
And why do you think we kept loaning him out to other teams? Because he was producing so well for us?
Is like u have a personal problem with salad.cos if U really watched that match he shud get far more rating than rlc.asides modric,he was our only creative output and d only person putting us in d opponents third.he even gave an assist if not for gimenez poor positioning and helped get us d first goal.pls he was totally awesome in that match.even in d first two matches
No it wasn’t. It was a dry loan. Saelemakers and Abraham, agreed at last minute so they just did dry loans without any options to buy. ???? Roma wanted to buy him and Milan refused. Do you have a memory of a gold fish?
Ok fair enough. I didn’t realize Bologna had an option for him. 10m is probably alot for them given their budget. But I believe Roma didn’t have an option. He played better at Roma..and they wanted to buy him. We rejected the proposal. So you can’t say they didn’t want him
“During most of the game, he and Modrić were the only 2 with a resemblance of creativity and forward play.”
Agree.
Saladmaker was MOTM.
What game did you watch?
Your hate on him is just too much.
Plse don’t talk about saele
Makers is making things happen for us
Congratulations on winning the´blind fan of the week´ award. Saelemaekers was the only player that created something for the offense from the start of the game. It doens´t lead to anything? He gave the assist for Gimenez goal which was disallowed for a narrow offside. Any decent striker wouldn´t have been in an offside position but it was Saelemaekers pass that split the defense. It was Saelemaekers action that led to the free kick on which RLC scored. Last week he was MOTM and this week he should have been as well. Take Saelemaekers out of this team and they barely create anything. He´s one of the very few bright spots in this team. Even did better than Modric (who tripped over the ball on a huge chance) in creating chances. Next week, pay more attention before you say Saelemaekers doesn´t create anything.
It was very funny to see Allegri scream at Musah. I like the player, but sometimes, the game awareness just isn’t there.
That was so laughable. Even the commentator was like…why not slow down the play bei g 2-0 up lol 😂
Then he immediately dove faking a hip injury on the next play to waste time…least he got the message 😂
In general a poor game. Lets not forget this was Lecce and they were on pair with us for most of the game. Fofana was bad again did almost nothing. I saw more from Ricci in 10 min than from Fofana in full game. Loftus at least is some danger in the box. Then im not sure who was worse Fofana or Estupian who is not even 25% of what Theo was. In fact judging by this two games even Balo Toure was better on the left. That being said its only two games so i will still give Estupian a chance. A bit better opponent and we would have not won this one, and there are a lot of better teams than Lecce in the league, hope we improve in the meantime.
Estupiñan is Maldini compared to Ballo Toure. Please stop nonsense, you are behaving like a clown
If you can’t put two sentence together like a mature person then i hate to say it but you are the only clown around here mate.
Rlc and fofana showing opposite sides. One responded to the criticism well and showed he had determination to try and do better. Fofana on the other hand just gave pretty much the same. Hope ricci starts over him next match. Puli proves his importance yet again, and Pavlovic being a beast front and back again. Him and estupinian have potential to work well together. Sala playing out of position but still putting in 100%
Unfortunately santi just seems to be losing confidence by the day. Someone needs to have a serious chat with him
Rlc, Hahahahahah. He is a piece of wood ball sometimes hits and bounces off in the right direction. He couldn’t win a single ground duel with his size. 🤣
Sterile possession in the first half. Marginally better in the second half. Classic Allegri ball. Wonder when ppl will start calling him Allergic again?
The two creative players (Salad and Modric) were passing ball to absolute statutes. These guys are just poor in offense. A bunch of players simply not functional to a 3 5-2 or whatever we’re playing (3-6-1?). Man this is going to be a loooonng season
Bro, I crashed out when I heard we were going with Allegri.
Hahaha bro, I can’t blame you for real..
Let’s hope for the best for next season with our new coach tbh.
Brickfeet butcher ball brought to you by Fofana, RLC and Musah. Pure torture in the middle which was evident with long ball play skipping the middle.
People keep writing RLC did well and he couldn’t be worse in 1st half. Second half maybe a 6 rating, because of the goal. Pulisic can push him out of the way, being half his size.
Gotta agree. RLC main attribute is his size and physicality. And yet he barely bulldozes forward to take advantage of it. Outside of the goal he didn’t do much.
You can see Modric struggle to find someone skilled enough with their feet and vision to pass to. Every. Single. Time.
This!
RLC should be bulldozing his way through teams in Serie A. Yet he looks so feeble on many occasions. Had high expectations of him as Allegri came but I dunno, seems like even a coach who like bulldozers in midfield can’t kick start his engine. (Hoping he builds on this though)
Again Ted’s comments have nothing to do with what actually happened on the pitch, just his own personal bias. RLC scored the game winner and was voted man of the match and Musah played a good game as well and out of all the players you could have mentioned you go after those two… Keep hating Ted.
Besides the goal, what did he do that made you wet yourself? Modric was isolated in the midfield, there was no play from the middle if it wasn’t him. Just a bunch of long balls from our defenders. At last have a point if you’re getting triggered.
Sorry, got to agree with the boys on this one. RLC leaves much to be desired and his goal was a 50/50 with Modrić providing an excellent ball.
Rlc lost 4 out of 4 ground duels.
Touched the ball 32 times and most of his 20 successful passes went backwards. Amazing. What a player!!!
I’ll add to that. In a midfield-heavy formation and with us dominating possession, he had half the number of passes as other mids on the team (20/22). That’s 10 per half 😐…that’s no bueno. Though I’m happy for the goal, hope it gives him some confidence
He’s not in there for his passing. He’s in there to carry the ball and to crash the box and score goals. And that’s exactly what he did. With all the players to attack, to attack the one that scored the game winner seems odd, no?
MK, why was his average position in midfield, next to Modric? Can you explain that? If he is there to score goals and crash the box. What was he doing and how the hell did he manage to touch the ball only 32 times being there mostly? 😀
@K , why you getting all aggy lol 😂
Didn’t even attack RLC, All I did was state/add facts and you got worked up. A MIDFIELDER not there for his passing?….ok. that’s a new one hahaha 😂.
Also if his job was to crash the box and score of goals why hasn’t he done it. In 3 years only 7 goals in Serie A? Pfft.
IKWYDLS with more dishonest comments. Saying he’s been here 3 years when it’s been 2 seasons and 2 games now is misleading. And he scored 10 goals for us in his first season and was injured most of last season and has already scored one this season in just 2 games. Whats the most goals Saleamakers who everyone seems to love ever scored for us in a season?
If you have twist the numbers and make misleading comments in your argument, you probably don’t have a very strong argument.
@Mk Nah,.we not doing that. You want to critique, do so but don’t be twisting what ppl saying and straying from the point by getting into semantics. You remind me of a guy called K, who used to do the same around the forum. Don’t be a pric… K.
You want to prove so badly that RLC had this amazing game. Ok there you have it, he did reasonably well, got the gol and like I said hope he builds from it. Ya happy?
But when you say people are putting their personal bias and then others back it up with facts, you pivot to something else. He had half the number of passes than other mids and lost all his ground duels…. you’re now pivoting saying he isn’t there for passing but to crash the box and score. But if that’s the case then when I say he doesn’t score much you, provide actual stats, you accuse me of twisting facts somehow, straying once more or pivoting. Like make up your mind dude.
Now, my stat on goals is pure facts. RLC has, like I said, 7 goals in SERIE A…read properly next time please. Sure he hasn’t had full 3 years, he’s on his 3rd. Fine, np. But the point still holds. I don’t think you realize it being 2 years instead of 3 isn’t the gotcha moment you think it is. 7 goals in 2 years is still poor (i even put his goal this season in there) for a guy who, AS YOU SAID, is supposed to crash the box to score. That’s 3 per year.
Another pure fact. You even made the correction and it still looked terrible 🤣🤣🤣. Way to go and thanks for that! 😅
You included goals in Europe, there’s no problem in that, but it doesn’t really help the cause…..yippie 10 goals…again, the point still remains. I swear u guys are something else. 5/6 goals per season is what y’all getting excited over? Really?
Another fact, last year he started 15 times in all comps and had about 1400 minutes (Fbref btw) despite the injuries….guess what he crashed himself ZERO TIMES into the goal. That’s also still poor for the box crashing scoring midfielder who’s not there to pass. Also
And what does this have to do with Saladman? I didn’t bring him up. Another deflection by you. But if you wanna go there I have some nice stats for you as well😂.
Don’t worry, RLC is sh!tty on his own, we don’t even need to talk about The Salad, who btw plays a different position. But like I said I hope RLC builds from the goal he just scored….just to let you know I still support him doing well.He is a Milan player after all.
U bash saladmaker and praise rlc who was totally rubbish in d match if not for the set piece goal.now I understand u.all U watch in games is who scored or assisted the goal.the others are crap.u cud just stick to highlights cos it’s seems that what U even watched actually
This!👆👍👍👍
Not a pretty game, but it’s Allegri so…corto muso, gotta get used to those.
Maignan wasn’t really tested so not too much of an opinion on him.
Estupiñán was among our weakest players in the first half but it seems he’s slowly getting his groove.
Musah was good by his standards (which aren’t that high tbh) and didn’t make a mistake.
The CB trio did overall well and Pavlović was pretty involved going forward in the second half.
The midfield (Fofana and Loftus-Cheek in particular) was frustrating to watch especially in the first half when there was almost no chances created. I think we will need Modrić more than what we initially thought. He is simply way above the rest in pretty much everything.
Ricci wasn’t fantastic but I don’t dislike the way he plays.
Saelemakers has to be kept, he plays like a man possessed.
Pulišić clutch & efficient as always. He was a better poacher than the actual striker.
Didn’t see enough of Balentien to comment on him.
Giménez was frustrating. He either misses easy goals or he is offside. He has 0 involvement in the buildup and 0 ability to hold the ball. Perhaps a swap with Dovbyk won’t be so bad, but in any case we NEED an actual striker (Dovbyk or Vlahović or someone else).
Spot on as usual. Though I’m cutting Giminez some slack and all this drama isn’t good for the player. The conditions ain’t good for him at the moment
How do you plan to use Nkunku?
“I don’t know how I’ll be able to use him.”
That statement was crazy. Since it’s not Dusan, Allegri is bitter.
Please tell me he didn’t say this 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️. Then again I wouldn’t be surprised. Not with this bunch.
Two games in and cracks in the relationship between coach and management is evidently clear. This is probably just him saying to the media that he’s not getting what he’s asking for. We get a sporting director and we’re still doing the same thing…not listening to the coach’s requests and buying for “opportunities” sake
He did unfortunately.
Oh goodness me, I just saw it 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
What the fck is happening with this club.
We’ll hear from Scaroni soon: ” were in perfect harmony”..
Lol…sometimes when the coach requests are crap,U ignore them.i personally am glad they are ignoring his requests to turn us to juve 2.0 as it will be easy for an attacking minded coach with actual tactics to take over the team and strive if he is replaced.cos I can see that’s where this circus is heading to. Who plays 4-5-1 against Lecce and Cremonese?
LMAO!!! this was classic Allegri. This is how he battles Furlani. Through media and press. THere’s a reason why so many articles came out last week around the same time questioning Milan’s transfer policies.
Modrić easily MOTM. Pulisic, of course another goal. Saelemaekers fought hard but much more productive coming off the wing. My boy Estupiñán better defensively in the second half but dreadful in the first, even Musah was better. I’d like to see a midfield with both Ricci and Modrić. Pitty Jimenez has been banished, he would be a great option on either wing. Santi, please stay onside it’s not that difficult. My question is how does the biggest flopper in North America break another player’s leg in practice no less?
Good to win, hopefully Leão will be back and our newest Chelsea player can add a spark.
Hopefully. But again our current midfield is very poor. Fofana and cheek are extremely poor. Eventhough cheek scored he doesn’t offer much. He is just a bulldozer. Allegri gotta find different formula. Ricci and jashari (when he gets back) gotta start. He also better have a back up for ostupian because he is a major liability agaisnt better teams.
You cant give a 5.5 rating to Estupiñan and a 5.5 to Gimenez who was ABYSMAL in this match. An offside goal really raise his rating? LMAO
Estupiñan was very good in the second half, and not as bad in the first. Tomori was OK too.
This was not a pretty game but I liked what Milan offered, way better than the first match.
Modric is by far the steal of the century. He is going to be the best midfielder of Serie A lol
Yes you can. Estupiñan was just as poor …
This team isn’t doing it from a football Prespective. There’s just too much space between the defense, midfield and attack, thats why it’s always looking like we are 2 players shot when we transition. I thought one of three coaches would have figured it by now.
Gabbia may be stable but he needs to push the line forward when we transition, it pains me that Tomori is lacking football IQ, he would have been a very valuable asset when this team is pressing or attacking.
Lastly, the team pressing is terrible, nobody picks up opposition players, players watch passing lanes and don’t react until the pass is made and then start chasing the game, it just too slow and too sloppy for a proper team.
I hope the coach is noticing and can adjust this team.
Tare: Zero. Amateur hour, hugely inappropriate statements to the press right before the game, basically throwing Gimenez (and to a certain degree, Musah) under the bus; regardless of whether or not he is right about the lack of quality in these players (he is mostly right), you just don’t say that to the press. You can say it behind closed doors but not to the press!!! And then, he questioned Allegri’s formation which is NOT something the Sporting Director should be saying as this is not his role. Given the fiasco with Boniface when he went against Allegri and it was a hugely mistaken move (should have done due diligence about the medical part and asked for a discreet medical evaluation before bringing the player into Milano; this fiasco actually damaged the boy’s career which is very regretful), one has to question Tare’s alleged experience. Are we again showing managerial cracks? Last year Ibra was undermining the coach; now Tare is? HUGE failure.
Maignan = 6.5; everything correct and secure including interrupting crosses, playing well with his feet, and securing a low save that should have been a score for Lecce.
Pavlovic = 6.5; did not make mistakes, helped in offense.
Gabbia = 6.5; much better than last week, organized and solid like the Gabbia we were used to seeing.
Tomori = 6. His usual sloppy fouls but no major mistakes so gets a pass.
Estupiñan = 5.5. A tale to two halves. Would get a pass for the most improved second half but he was pretty much a disaster in the first half which would have deserved a lower score than my generous 5.5. I think there is a quality player there; he needs to gel and get into the game sooner, and needs to defend more; he tends to play too high. Well, that’s on the coach too; Allegri needs to reign him in a little. In first half his numerous mistakes were a risk for the scoreboard; he did defend better in second half (maybe Allegri did say something to him at halftime).
Fofana = 5.0. I can’t understand why Allegri is not starting Ricci rather than Fofana. He did produce a good shot on target which is rare for him (did have a couple of SOT last game too) but otherwise, he missed too many possessions and passed poorly for the most part, although he did have a couple of good ones. Still, one of the weakest players today.
Musah = 6. Gets a rare pass. Not bad tonight, for a change. Did not really look like a headless chicken, for a change. Even passed the ball at the end of runs, which he usually doesn’t.
Modric = 7.5. Class act. Had an assist and would have had a second one if not for the disallowed goal. Almost all passes were perfect. Co-MOTM with Alexis.
RLC = 7.0. Rather bad in the first half like most of his companions but his rating does get pushed up for the goal that really changed the game; in great part we won because of that goal as Puli’s goal was more like an after thought after the game seemed mostly won. Also, RLC did improve in the second half beyond simply having scored a goal.
Saelemaekers = 7.5. Great effort as usual, and it was also a quality effort today, both helping the defense and being dangerous upfront. Co-MOTM with Modric.
Gimenez = 4.5. Sorry, but you just CAN’T call yourself a CF and miss that sitter. Santi needs to learn from Puli who in the exact same situation had no trouble beating the goalkeeper and scoring. If his goal hadn’t been correctly disallowed by a narrow offside, his rating would have been higher. Maybe we should also give him a discount because with the Sporting Director unprofessionally throwing you under the bus, it does make you nervous and insecure; so the fact that he started poorly but improved a bit later could have partially do with Tare’s words. In any case, Santi does need to improve a lot to keep his job at Milan, and maybe he has ran out of time to do it, and will indeed depart, which is a bit unfair because he only joined 7 months ago; we had other players doing poorly in their first season but then improving later. However his very poor first touch which is always a problem, doesn’t inspire confidence that he will turn things around, in case he stays.
Subs
Pulisic = 7.0; showed again why we miss him when he doesn’t play. A few minutes in, scored a quality goal that put the game to rest (although I doubt that Lecce would have tied the game anyway as they did look toothless for most of the game).
Ricci = 6.5; came in with few minutes but did make things better with an immediate impact. Should be starting.
Balentien = s.v., not enough from him to rate him, but he did have a relatively decent attempt although off target.
Mister Allegri = just for the sake of how classy and wise he is when talking to the press, he already earns a lot of points as opposed to Tare’s disastrous declarations to the press. 6.5 for the good idea of placing Alexis there as a CF, and for the solid defense that played Allegri ball this time. However instead of a 7 I take 0.5 points off for not starting Ricci, or at least not bringing him in for the entire second half given that Fofana’s first half was terrible.
———
The first half, I thought we played even worse than against Cremonese and I was rather discouraged. Fortunately we did improve in second half which made me bump up the rating for several players; if we had not improved, pretty much only Modric, Saelemaekers and Maignan would have had passing grades or better.
Maybe I shouldn’t panic yet because if we play with Ricci, Leão and Pulisic, and already counting on Modric, we should be better than in these first two game. However Inter and Napoli do seem to be a few notches above us.
Oh, and I should add, all the guys who kept asking Rafa to be sold should have looked at how we played after he left injured last week (after scoring) and how we were toothless last week and for most of tonight without him, only producing a couple of late goals after struggling offensively for 70 minutes tonight and for 75 minutes after he left last week. Yep, Rafa and Puli ARE our best players (and now Modric has joined them as another one of our best); there’s no denying it. We simply don’t play as well without Rafa, and that’s a fact.
Allegri had a full menty B on Musah. Like Bro, I know he didn’t need to take the throw quickly but we were on the front foot and another goal was way more likely than giving up a goal. He is over Musah which I don’t blame him for but that scene reminded me of that cup final against Atalanta.
LOL, true. For a while I thought that Allegri was yelling at the Lecce player who was violent at Musah, but yes, it does seem like he yelled at Musah for not wasting a bit of time before throwing the ball in. Allegri was likely irritable because of what Tare had said before the game, and also because the management are not listening to him when he requests players. If this team fails badly, I think Allegri will throw a tantrum and resign.
Hopefully he resigns sooner than later. Think of what a loser mentality this guy is installing in this team. Playing against Lecce and Cremonese as if we were going against PSG or Liverpool. Afraid to attack. Screaming at your own player for not time wasting when up against Lecce. Lecce!
Is that where we are at now. Worried about time wasting to hang on against the worst team in the league …
Milan in hiring Allegri is setting football back 25 years. Maybe we’ll hire Mourinho next.
Well, that’s one way to see it, but there is also another way: Musah has notoriously low football IQ. At that point of the game, Milan was just managing the result. Any team, even PSG or Liverpool, when leading 2-0 with minutes to the end, will slow down and go into cruise control to ensure the victory. There is no need for heroics, which could expose the team to counter-attacks and expose players to injuries. Allegri was probably just frustrated that Musah never seems to actually read the game and behave accordingly.
Lecce or no Lecce, it was an away game, we needed the win after we lost the opener, and all the other intelligent players were trying to hold possession and to slow things down as we had a comfortable lead, except for Musah.
Maybe i am just not as good of a judge as other ppl cus i did not see Modric or loftus cheek doing anything special today, we played like a sorry team, lecce looked better than us for most of the game. Saelemaeker was the only one who looked confident and seemed to play with a purpose. Pulisic looked good but came on too late
Modrić was the only reason this wasn’t a total collapse. Rewatch and focus only on Modrić. If we didn’t have Modrić this midfield would have been totally dominated.
Allgr is punishing modr here
Instead of playing Ricci in support
For flexible midfield
What???
Pretty much almost all touches by Modric were classy and precise; it was the very rare one of his passes that didn’t reach the intended companion. He also had an assist, and should have had another assist if not for the disallowed goal. A player like Modric doesn’t need to be flashy to help the team. Without him our midfield would have fared a lot worse, which would have consequences for both the defense and the offense. Modric is a great player and he showed it again, tonight.
RLC scored the goal that unblocked the game and pretty much secured the win (Puli did put the final touch to it, but even without Puli’s goal, RLC’s goal should have secured all 3 points for us). So, going for a tie while dropping two points, and instead, earning all 3 points, doesn’t sound special to you?
I feel sorry for modric, sadly ardhon is injured so we will stuck with either one of musah rlc or fofana, one of them will always play, in about 15 minutes rici play was better than both rlc and fofana, fofana doesn’t even interested in chasing the lose ball, first half was disaster until 70minutes
not sure why Ricci is not starting every game, he is good, young and strong, Modric is older and should come on to replace Modric if need to. i dont reallly get Allegri’s mindset, this formation sucks
Harsh to disallow that goal for Gabbia.
The defender pushes him first and he just pushed back to hold the space. Theatrical response from the defender cost us a legit goal. IMO
Nah, I hate to say it, but that was a foul. The goal was correctly disallowed, and if that same foul + goal had happened against us and the goal got confirmed, we’d be livid with rage.
Honestly I would not be frustrated with the referee if they did not pay that against us. I watched several replays. Think Gabbia decision was harsh. Defender initiates contact. Then he knew he was beaten so resorted to theatrics.
Agreed. Theatrics at play. Gabbia puts two hands on him, but it was more for positioning, barely any push it seemed
It made me think of my friend’s Italian father who used to always say in broken English. “Ah! they go down like candles!”.
I always assumed it was his translation from a Milanese saying about being as easy as blowing out a candle.
It wasn’t a bad match after all. Without Pulisic and Leao we have very little attack. This is not new, and hopefully shouldn’t happen very often. I’m happy with clean sheet, and the fact the Mike had very little to do. But seeing us again field a futuro kid, because our squad is too trim is discouraging to say the least.
And f’ing Mussah as RW. I know he was decent in the back. But you can’t play 5 in the back, and your two wingers basically contribute nothing to attack (Estubian at least had 1-2 nice passes into the box).
I will give credit to Allegri- he set the team of right today. A big change was having the winger, especially on the left wide. Last game it was Estupinan taking that spot. I want the more skilled players wide to take on players. To me, it was up to the players today. They were OK against a pretty mediocre team. There was so much space to work in. ACM was not really sharp working 3-4 passes together in attack. But, today was a step in the right direction. Oh, Musah was good today. I know it hurts to just say it, but just try.
Now we’ll see some people here brag about loftus cheek. He still sucks. Just as much as fofana. Both of them not even close to being decent. Ostupinan just as bad so far, but hope he’ll settle since he just got here. Willing to give him benefit of the doubt. Again, modric the only one in the starting 11 that can pass amd he is 40 years old. We will seriously struggle against better teams than lecce. 3 points are 3 points. But we have a serious problem in our squad and it’s that midfield again. Hope Richie gets more playing time and sits fofana out. Speedy recovery to jashari, and he gets more playing time. Some say that he played in a more advanced position in his previous club. Hope to see these two and modric start from now on. Can’t see cheek and fofana play again as starting 11.
RLC had a good game and scored a good goal tonight. He was instrumental in the win tonight. What more do you want?
What are you talking about? His stats are horrendous. 76 minutes,, 32 touches, 20 successful passes, most to the back, 0 out of 4 duels won on ground, 2 out of 3 in the air. Goal was the single good thing he did. Instrumental? If you put a tree in the box Modric could bounce one ball off of it into the goal…
So 2 goals would have made you happy, or 3? or 4?what more did you want from him? The rest is nonsense. We won, he scored and had a good game. period.
He did nothing, useless in midfield. Complete piece of wood. Pobega level.
He scored and was a piece of wood otherwise. That is correct. If that is his good game imagine a bad one. What is that? You can’t have 20 successful passes as a midfielder and 0 ground duels won. It is criminally bad. Can’t believe he “had a good game”. And his actual game stats are nonsense? Sure, let’s rate players by subjective opinion. Maybe he is the best midfielder on the planet because of his haircut.
Sure is just a hater. He clearly has it in for RLC if you are going and researching stats to trash the guy who scored the game winning goal, you have a problem.
He played well and also forced another save from the keeper in the first half. So he easily could have had 2 goals. The entire team had 6 shots on target and he had 2 of them. On a team that is struggling to score goals that’s the most important thing.
So if you go and dig out stats of a player that performed badly and stats prove that, you’re just a hater? Wtf are you even talking about? Lmao, it’s time for another name change man.
Hahahahaha, yes. Maybe it is because of his skin colour, you wrote that many times? Or maybe because he is 191 cm and 88kg of uselessness in midfield? Which one do you think it is?
Did you watch the game?
RLC was not playing the mid. He was a forward and sometimes SS. So he. Would not have had a mid’s stat line.
It like you read the lineup, checked the stats and think if you repeat the same thing over and over you can gaslight people who did watch the game into believing your analysis.
Man, grow some tactical chops.
You are lying. Open any website that tracks football data and find his average position. Next to Modric in midfield. You can’t make this up, I always talk from data. You made up something to suit your story, like most complete mo*ons here do.
btw, from what I’ve read anywhere, 90% of people are saying much worse about RLC than me. That he is complete sh*t. You think I’ve influenced a huge volume of Milan fans with my 12 comments on SempreMilan? I didn’t know I am that influential, thank you for telling me.
There is no way Estupinan and Gimenez have the same score, no way…Estupinan was much stronger in the 2h, as was the entire team….except Gimenez. He was awful all game.
Things we already knew.
-Estupinan at best a bench option for the LWB.
-RLC & Fofana don’t offer much.
-Musah’s high is not making mistakes.
-Tomori, Pavlo, Gabbia can’t all start together.
-Santi is a very limited CF. Can’t blame them wanting to swap with a bigger frame.
-Modric has zero creative players to ping the ball to.
-Saele56 can only do so much without Leao/Puli …
-Ricci should be starting games …
Musah was solid today. He was there on defense and wasn’t beaten. So more than not making mistakes, it was lockdown defense against a pretty poor team. He was OK when pushed forward which was rare. But he did have RLC next to him who mis-hit some passes. No one mentions Saelemakers mistake that almost cost a goal. He did have a good game but that was a big mistake.
“not making mistakes” is such a low bar to set though … I do hope Musah gets sold to Atalanta so we can bring in Rabiot. Say what you will about him, but he has more goals in him than Musah… ever.
1000% true
Good points.
Though I feel Gimenez has been treated terribly and his confidence is shot
He can’t do the most basic things properly as a CF – like not fall over or control first touch better. I don’t know how much slack you want to give him…
And now, dumb thoughts from ACM1899…
RLC doesn’t offer much…only the game winning goal. Only on Sempre Milan will we get fools coming here and trashing the guy who won the game for the club. Between RLC and Fofana they had half of the team’s shots on target.
Even when Musah plays well the fools will still trash him.
Saele56 can only do so much know matter who he plays with that’s the problem with him. He’s very limited offensively aside from a few dribbles that never lead to anything. But we already knew this about him, which is why we have been trying to give him away to teams for the last 2 years. Unfortunately nobody wants to buy him.
Thoughts can not be dumb by definition since they are subjective, Einstein. But since your only metric of player contribution is “goal scored” I’m going to ignore everything you said after “only the game winning goal”…
I guess that means Modric was awful, as was everyone else who hadn’t scored…
By every other conceivable metric (for those who understand more what they are seeing) RLC was absolute driftwood. He affected the game zero outside of that one shot on goal.
No assisting on goals count as well. Therefor Modric did well. A bunch of dribbles that lead to nothing does not impress me. Nor does a bunch of passes that don’t produce anything.
I do find it odd tho that people feel the need to come in here and trash the guy who scored the game winning goal for the team. There must be some other motivation behind it. I certainly hope it’s not skin color but it does seem irrational seeing as the guy when healthy has produced for the team. He scored 10 goals from the midfield position in his first season with us as well as being the MVP for the month of January, and last season he was injured most of the year. Really not sure why people feel the need to trash him him when he just scored the game winner for us. See ms kind of bizarre.
And yes, there are dumb thoughts. And saying that the guy that scored the winning goal and had 2 of our 6 shots on target didn’t produce anything is dumb.
Skin colour? Stupid people always go there. Maybe the fact that the guy did nothing but the goal against Lecce? How can you have only 20 successful passes in a game against Lecce? As a MIDFIELDER. Incredible, yes it is his skin colour, he is not black enough. That is why we love Leao mo*on. You’re such a loser to keep bringing up skin colour.
Mk, let me be as nice as possible. This is not Wakanda, but AC Milan. I can see you are the big defender of black players here but wtf? That victim mentality is oozing from you.
Thanks for showing everybody your true motivation here. Literally every paper gave RLC a good rating, yet you are in here probably leaving close to 50 comments trying your hardest to trash the guy that scored the game winning goal for us. Seems a bit strange. Now we know why.
He got 6.5 mostly. Because he scored a goal. Without the goal he would get 6 at best, somewhere 5.5. 😀
I was a Leao fanboy, now I am racist. You are a very very special boy.
Such a stupid comment. “If you take away the game winning goal”….
It’s literally the thing that matters the most in football. You see, you have to score goals to win. That’s how the game works. The team that scores the most goals wins. Didn’t think that would need to be explained to people on here but this is the dumbest comment section on earth.
I didn’t call you a racist but you clearly have some kind of hatred for RLC. Let’s just picture this for a second.
You are the very first comment on here, so you are probably sitting there on Sempre Milan site hitting the refresh button over and over to make sure you are the first comment everyone sees, and what is the comment? Nothing about the win, nothing about the match, or any other player, it’s a negative comment about the player who scored the game winning goal and how he didn’t deserve a good rating. Nothing else. You then proceed to leave about 50 more comments trying to trash him to anyone that said he had a good game. there is clearly some other motivation going on.
Modric has Pulisic, Saelemakers and Leao and Ricci when they are healthy.
I was angry to see Estupinan start the second half. However, I need to come to my senses. He needs time to adapt to Serie A. He is already farther along than Royal never made it.
RLC dosen’t offer much? Well he scored and had a good game tonight, that should be enough for most reasonable people…But hey, its ok.
By what standards is it a good game? A midfielder with 20 successful passes in the whole game? 0 ground duels won? Touched the ball 32 times only. Which part was good? Him not being involved too much? I guess that is great. 191cm and 88kg, and again, 0 ground duels won. That should be impossible. He is like a tree,
piece of wood. Don’t remember when was the last time I’ve seen such a weak big guy, that is less useful in midfield. Hope someone does a compilation of RLC touches against Lecce so we can see how great he was. Can’t wait to see that as I’m probably blind.
Yes you will see RLC amongst the highlights tonight. Getting a stagnant Milan on the score sheet. With a splendid goal.
And that is it. 76 minutes, Splendid goal? one set piece where he was in the right place. Otherwise, 0. Amazing player. World class.
You seem unsure…where did you see anyone say Amazing or WC??…I’ll tell you NOWHERE! You seem annoyed that RLC scored and had a good game…what’s bothering you little buddy? You should get help for that.
He didn’t have a good game. Outside of the goal he did nothing. If it was against a better team it is like -1 midfielder if you lose all the ground duels. You’ll see against better teams, Lecce is too bad to exploit it. And the part where I need help is such a great way to distract from how bad he was. Of course. Nice try. Let’s repeat, you are saying a midfielder that had 20 successful passes and won 0% of ground duels had a good game. 🤣
Stats don’t matter, just your opinion and of course the goal from set piece. That makes him world class.
RLC is like that old classic sports car that takes a lot of maintenance and tune up to perform well once, then back to the shop… LOL!!!
See above 7
Somebody explain to Sure that the team with the most goals wins the game. Goals are important. In fact, they are the most important stat. If you think RLC is weak then you are some sort of fool that doesn’t know what he is watching.
It’s such a bizarre behavior to come here and leave like 20 comments bashing the player that won the game for the team. This just enforces my belief that half the people on don’t even care if the team wins, they are just angry little trolls that want to come here and vent because their life sucks.
No RLC is world class with him not doing anything besides the goal. I am probably racist, right? 🤣
Don’t let one game fool you. Think of the last game and then the next few.
On the balance of things over the last few years with us …that’s what you need to consider
Yikes…. I know we got the win but that didn’t look good at all. Defence was not bad but not good. Pavlovic picked it up in second half. Estupinan was poor in the first half but got better in the second. I don’t think he’s horrible but he is no theo. Musah was decent
Fofana some of his touches and passes were so bad I hope hes just rusty. Like everyone has said about RLC, for a man his size you would think that he would physically destroy his opponents but he just doesn’t. Often turning backwards. Modric still the best of the midfield but he had some sloppy passes too and I won’t fault him because the other two are rubbing off on him. Set pieces are still class.
I’m really rooting for gimenez but Man oh man his touch and his hold up play and his dribbling was abysmal. I know he can bra deadly finisher but he really needs to step up, nothing looks good for him right now. When saelemaekers looks like the flashiest on the team yoh know something is wrong. He’s Improved a lot and works so hard that I would keep him in the team.
Allegri, I don’t know what he’s thinking but he sees more than we do obviously but why does he insist on this formation still? His subs were always late and you’d Think when Ricci came on he’d slot Ricci into the middle right infront of the defence and put modric on the right side but nope. I’m going to wait for us to have a full squad but he’s already making me understand why Juventus fans couldn’t bare him anymore.
When he has a healthy leao, pulisic, nkunku and a striker I would love to know what he’s going to do. I don’t see how you could continue playing this formation. Unless some striker ends up coming in I would like a 4 3 3 false nine put leao back in his position, nkunku as the false nine and pulisic on the right. Or a 4 2 3 1 but I don’t think allegri would ever go that attacking. At least the international break is already here so we can regroup.
Allegri has no idea how to integrate his attacking players yet. It will be interesting to see how he experiments.
With 3 up front, you can trust neither Gimenez as a 9 nor Nkunku. Neither are that profile.
With two upfront you can try to throw both of them on, with Nkunku slightly behind Santi. But where do you put Leao/Puli? 352 with both out wide? THey aren’t wingbacks…
That’s why Nkunku is such a weird buy.
Nkunku is a premium Leao sub. That is the only thing that makes sense
noone can give pulisic credit, its always backhanded. even the usa media does it. “Pulisic (7): We didn’t really see that much from him before the goal”
did u even watch him before the gOAL, he was all over the pitch, made defensive pressure moves.
the CP hate is wild.
the brits still fawning over rlc is still gross, hes average, not bad, not good. calling him sexy and sht
What USA media??? This is NOT a website based in the USA, despite it using English as the official language (for your information, English is a language that started in England… and is spoken in several countries in the world; using English is not equal to being from the USA. And the rater here is British, not American.
This said, I agree that the rater here seems to be biased against Pulisic. To say that we didn’t really see that much from him before the goal is absurd, because Puli wasn’t playing before the goal. He was subbed in late, and shortly thereafter scored his goal.
OK, get this, folks. After Tare’s disastrous statements to Sky before the game in which he clearly threw Gimenez under the bus and questioned Allegri’s formation, Allegri understandably got upset and said to Sky “I don’t know how to use Nkunku; we already have good players up front.” Then he ironically said to DAZN “Maybe we will even play without a center forward” while making a point of praising Gimenez and saying he’s been back for just 20 days and is slowly getting better. He also said that regarding the formation, he will change it according to the quality of the players he is given.
So, obviously Allegri completely disagrees with Tare and did not take kindly to the fact that he asked for a CF with certain characteristics and was given Nkunku who doesn’t fit that profile at all, that Tare spoke against Gimenez, and that Tare questioned the formation which is up to the head coach and not to the sporting director.
Also his irritation was visible in yelling at Musah right in front of the TV camera.
This doesn’t bode well. Two games in, and the idiotic managers are already undermining the head coach.
Allegri had been very classy in his declarations to the press, but today he definitely adopted another tone. Allegri has a short fuse and I can see this feud escalating rapidly.
Yes, I just saw his statements. He seems to already going straight at the management, including Tare. Just in gloves, still being nice.
I don’t think Allegri is fighting with Tare. Allegri is fighting with Furlani. Nkunku smells of Furlani’s capital gains acquisitions.
How? 28 in a few months, nobody will ever buy him from Milan. How is he a capitals gain acquisition? He isn’t young enough to have real resale value, especially at that buying price and also, he can get injured since he has a history of that. On top of that he will get 5M per year, so not a cheap player in that sense. I don’t see how exactly is it a capital gains acquisition…
Next year if Nkunku stays healthy, Leao is gone baby.
That actually makes sense, it could be a plan Furlani has.
You criticize the players that had good games tonight and then say you’ll keep Gimenez in the squad? He hasn’t had not one good game for Milan, not one. And tonight was he was horrible…again! Why do you think he is on the chopping block and Milan are scrambling for another striker?
Saelemaekers slips and falls frequently and is dispossessed when he dribbles, but he works hard, has flash, has some good ideas and some nice long balls. his fan club is proud. 8 co-MOTM
Sorry bud, you’ve got the wrong person. I know a good game when I see one and I call them as I see them, game by game, I don’t rely on the clown show to tell me. Did RLC have a good game tonight or not? answer that!
Stats tell you enough about his game. He played so good it will be hard to keep him at Milan. I’ve heard City and Real Madrid want him now, after his 0% ground duels won and 20 successful passes in 76 minutes. World class.
RLC was technically the match winner. and actually had good ratings – why does that bother you so much?
Because he did nothing outside of the goal. Against anyone else it is -1 player. Is that hard to comprehend? A midfielder can’t have under 30 successful passes in 76 minutes. And lose every single ground duel. It is a joke of a player stats…
Stats tell the story hey?….I’m going to help you…no charge. What were the stats vs Crem last week? Don’t bother, I’ll tell you… Milan dominated in all categories…except the one that matters…the one that sent you and the rest of the clown show into a complete frenzy… We lost buddy, we lost, despite having better stats. see how ridiculous your stats reference is. Schools over!
School? 🤣🤣. Do you understand player stats vs team stats? Milan can win 15-0 and some players can still be bad. Even if you score a goal. I don think you actually get it.
But I get it now. If this was a good game for you it is your standards that are low. RLC against Cremonese, 3 out of 11 duels won. He is so bad
It is sad. When we play Napoli it will be 11 vs 10.
RLC and Fofana look like you have 2 cripples playing. Modric has to pass to defenders as these guys don’t understand football properly. RLC had number of touches like a center forward, his average position was actually almost in the centre of the pitch, close to Modric. This is against Lecce. Top teams will eat us alive with those 2.
You sound angry and delirious. Go take a nap and rest that brain cell and come back tomorrow. The highlights of the game are on, hurry…you don’t want to miss the match winning goal.
Savio, I was quite nice to you. You don’t understand basics of football re*ard. How about you pick up a book and read? I suggest “football for dummies”. Focus on the role of the midfielder so you understand what are they supposed to do in a football match. And leave your stupid “jokes” for your stupid family.
They will laugh.
You need help…It’s out there. waiting for sure!
Ok, another re*arded “joke”. There is no help for people like you, when you are born without intelligence it can’t be fixed. Enjoy!
But I’m sure you family laughs when you tell them your jokes. Go figure why. I’ll tell you tomorrow if you can’t figure it out. Good night.
Since you like stats I’ll give you two
1. You are the most frequent person to reply to yourself. Got hair on your palms too?
2. You spelled your own name wrong. But call others a retard.
You mention RLC positioning was more like a CF. Sherlock, that was his position. Allegri blew a gasket when Musah didn’t take his time. So you think he’d tolerate a mid out of position the whole game?
I think you should remind your mother she loves you. Seems like she forgot.
No, you can’t read. His average position in the Lecce game was next to Modric, central midfield. His touches are if a centre forward. You can check that easily, in 2 minutes. But you chose to read something and understand how it suits you to explain to me. You’re a genius obviously, please share more.
And about your re*arded jokes how my mother doesn’t love me or whatever you’ll come up with next. Do you think this works? That you creating a stupid narrative to try and insult me reflects reality and hurts me? Why are you re*arded? It is primary school all over again, did you finish that yet?
It is like a dog is trying to make fun of me. Good attempt doggy, here is a treat.
Oh and here I am thinking I’m taking to a rationale adult. Silly me. Go read the rest of the articles. All saying the same thing. Which is totally opposite to what you are saying. RLC had a good game.
So to be rational with a person that says player stats are nonsense? You told me I don’t need to be, you just don’t get it.
You should write to Allegri and tell him?
Allegri is quite busy slapping the management during interviews, for the team he’s got, just in gloves. Do you need help with understanding that?
Why Milan sign new players, if they are going to use them? Allegri is allergic to new players.
RLC scored a good goal didn’t he?
I think scoring a goal without any useful contributions throughout a game would be ok for a striker or a sub. RLC is supposed to help control the midfield, disrupt plays and power his way forward to set up the attackers. He did nothing of the sort. And you could even argue that his header was lucky as he was hitting it with the back of his head towards goal…
I guess we have to raise the bar for RLC. Go back and rewatch the game against PSG last season – that’s the RLC I want, every game.
RLC is a striker that is a fact at least for me, try play him in that position, he is big, he has drible, header and shooting ability. In the midfield he often not good enough because his lack defense ability, not smart reading the game and average passing
He did best under Pioli, where he wasn’t an actual midfielder. He is mostly useless as a midfielder in most games. Yes he had a good game every now and then but so did Andrea Poli and such players.
I agree that Lecce isn’t really a team to measure yourself against and the win isn’t one to build your confidence on, but I admire the way they kept their heads up after having two goals disallowed by VAR. They didn’t fall into their usual mid-game lull and played hard the whole game. I want to see more of this.
The biggest mistake any team can make is not respecting their opponents. Thankfully Allegri showed them the respect they deserve. You can only beat the teams they put in front of you. Milan did that tonight. job done.
Isak has a definite bias against pulisic.
At least 3 pts
Keep on going…
Fuck ..p the whole jolly Joker. At least three points. Thats all what it counts…
Modric w the full 90. Brilliant.
This team has potential when Leao and Puli play together, IF max stops playing RLC and Fofana together. Play Ricci! Let Modric play higher up to create with Puli and Leao and hopefully a new striker. RLC and Fofana just aren’t that good so no way should they both be on the field at the same time. Get Jashari back and have them both come off the bench. And they are welcome to prove me wrong but I doubt they will.
3 points…fuck yeah…we dont care who is scoring. At least we reach 4th place..
Pulisic..my man..

What a fun life many people seem to have in the comment section. Do you live to cry, be irritated and have low IQs like little children?
No, we live to come into the comments and claim superiority above others. Like you. Amazing, is that the super high IQ speaking?
Its only against lecce…come back…we dont play against inter..😉♥️🖤🫶🏽
Surely a must win match, I’d like them to take such energy to the next game, get the 3points
Pairing Ricci and modric would have given us a nice mid field display
Only Allegri understand what he’s doing though. No where has Midric played as 4 ever in his career until he met Allegri. Even a blind bat knows Ricci is the conveyor in the team, as such should play in front of the back 3, then place Modric 10 that he is and see if the quality of the last pass to complete our attack move won’t improve? Allegri is just too damn stubborn for his age.
Why are we using thesame midfield combo that has gotten every coach sacked so far?
Are they that good in training ?!
Assessment of Fofana and Estupinan meets mine. The latter is yet to find his footing, making the departure of Hernandez obvious. Modric kept the midfield going. Milan still needs a fighting spirit. Laying back for opponents to attack is not great.
Sometimes your ratings appear from your previous knowledge of the players and not on the match itself. Musah deserves a higher rating cos he was one of our better players on the field. Immediately a player scores irrespective of what other nonsense same player had done, u Immediately score such player high! It is wrong . RLC wasn’t visible yesterday but here we are with him scored higher than players that did so much better.
The save MM made is enough for him to get a better rating cos such ball could have gone in and caused us issues.
Bottomline, I think you need to reevaluate your assessment criteria.
Sempre, can you for once open that you don’t like Tomori and black players. I have notice it many times.
Today match your rating show it again. Tomori , play a very good game. He saved us today not once . And you rated him 5.5 .
Yes, everyone is racist. They also rate Pulisic low every time because he is black, don’t you agree?
U seem to have favorites u write nice things about..imagine these sharp criticism if the players should read it how do u think they will feel? Let’s encourage them rather
Dragonball meme dude is the big supporter of Estupido (who got the lowest rating) , sucks lol hahaa 😀
Wow Modric is no done yet
