AC Milan fell to perhaps their most damaging defeat of the season, as they lost 1-0 to Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Milan headed south to Naples hoping to add further impetus to their title bid by beating the team directly below them, yet they came up short and were leapfrogged in the end. Massimiliano Allegri’s men paid dearly for a lapse in concentration for Politano’s winner with just over 10 minutes to go.
The Rossoneri were better in the first half than in the second as Antonio Conte made changes that La Gazzetta dello Sport believe were ultimately more courageous. Now, the objective is very much to lock up a Champions League spot as soon as possible.
