It was yet another disappointing evening for AC Milan as they failed to beat Spezia away from home, conceding two goals in the second half. Down below are the player ratings for the Rossoneri.
Starting XI
Maignan (6): Cannot fault him for the two goals and he made some other good stops this evening. It’s just unfortunate that his teammates at the back are so poor.
Kalulu (4.5): He did okay in the first half, defensively anyway, but failed to deliver the perfect crosses in attack. In the second half, however, he was sloppy at the back and conceded the silly foul that led to Spezia’s free-kick goal.
Kjaer (4.5): The Dane missed the zonal marking completely on Spezia’s first goal (he was the first line of many errors) and he lost many duels today. Not the leader we need at the back.
Tomori (4.5): He struggled on the ball and, just like Kjaer, he lost way too many duels and also had a hand in the first goal.
Hernandez (5.5): He came close to scoring with an absolute rocket and at least tried to make things happen when going forward. And he was sound defensively too before he was taken off.
Tonali (6 – MOTM): Almost gave Milan just the start they needed as he hit the post with a composed effort. Then was almost always involved, but lacked the presence of his teammates.
Pobega (4.5): Was barely on the ball for most of the game and committed many fouls, as usual. He’s certainly no Bennacer, but we knew that already.
Saelemaekers (5): He showed himself many times but didn’t have the same success on the ball this evening. He can do a lot better.
Diaz (5.5): Would have been a higher rating if it wasn’t for that missed chance in the second half, when he hit the post. There was a period of about ten minutes where he created a lot, but it wasn’t enough.
Origi (5): He had his moments but ultimately failed both to find the right positions for himself and to set up his attacking teammates.
Rebic (4): Arguably the worst Milan player on the pitch with many misplaced passes and very little involvement overall.
Substitutes
De Ketelaere (5): Another evening to forget for him with no significant impact.
Ballo-Toure (4.5): One of the players that were sleeping on the first goal and he added nothing going forward.
Adli (6): He was bold and opened up space with his moves, not to mention some very good-looking corners. Promising from him.
Giroud (5): Not enough from the big man, Milan really needed him too.
Calabria (N/A): He didn’t play enough to get a rating.
my wifi went out after 70min so i didnt see how they lost but there wasnt much to see anyway. They want top4? Didnt look like it
Bye bye UCL we meet again in two years
Are you sure 2 years
Two times two is four at least.
It will be 2 years. Relax.
“rebic shocking”… No, he is sh** every game. It’s not shocking to anyone that that is once again the case. Pobega is an awful footballer and is not suited for a 2 man midfield… When balo toure and cdk came on, it was clear we would not get a win today. How is this team so disorganized that even relegation sides cut through our defense with ease?? It’s baffling how many points we’ve lost this season in the same manner.
Let’s hear it.
Pioli out, RedBird/Elliott out.
Everyone else’s fault except Maldini.
Very few rational, not emotional fanboys, called that this will happen after the last 2 “outstanding” Maldini’s markets.
We said that our squad is weaker every season since Maldini took over in the summer of 2020 but people were defending Maldini and blaming everyone else.
The squad is formed of players who lack technical skills. Not one skilled player. Cant make the simplest passes or cross or even shoot.
Oh the owners didn’t invest. Milan spent the most of all Italian clubs. And apparently you need 200 mil to beat teams like Spezia, cremonesse, salernitana.
I’m afraid this worst case scenario will happen.
Roma will win the Europe league and qualify for UCL.
Inter will win UCL.
Milan will finish 5th, 10 points behind Juventus.
Juventus will get 9 points penalty deduction and still qualify for UCL, while will be watching Europa league.
Graze Maldini
House cleaning is needed. And you start by getting rid of the man who made the house dirty.
My god these pioli fangirls are insane. Get rid of the fraud.
Everyone will need to take a good hard look at themselves, but I think the first examination will be with Pioli. People will quickly sh!t on the ownership and directors, but then also call for ADLI ADLI ADLI or Vranckx, or “what happened to CDK?”. The reason is the coach. There is no excuse for playing banter era football against clubs like Spezia, Empoli, Bologna, Cremonese, etc. These are not games we should be losing or drawing because we don’t have players that are “not good enough”. We have the squad to beat them. This is on the coach. Mental breakdowns are on the coach. Breaking down teams that sit deep is on the coach. Time for a change and it starts there. At this point all I’m asking for is not to get humiliated on Tuesday and to finish the season in Europe somewhere. Limp to the finish line and get rid of Pioli and reset.
Your usual lies. The squad is not weaker year on year, it’s stronger. Maldini started in 2019, not 2020, you fraud:
And these are the regular first-teamers signed under Maldini, with several players coming on loan first:
In 2019-2020
Bennacer
Ibrahimovic
Kessie
Kjaer
Krunic
Leao
Saelemaekers
Theo
In
2020-2021
Rebic
Kalulu
Tomori
Tonali
2021-2022
Diaz
Maignan
Giroud
Messias
It’s only this season that has been a bust.
Every single player that was crucial to the scudetto was signed by Maldini. Every single regular first-teamer was signed under Maldini.
https://www.rossoneriblog.com/2019/06/14/official-maldini-becomes-the-new-technical-director-of-milan/
Maldini become director in 2019, you fraud, and, as usual, you’re wrong. The squad has become stronger every year save this one. Every single player that was crucial to the scudetto was signed under Maldini.
These are the regular first-teamers signed under Maldini, with several players coming on loan first:
In 2019-2020

It’s only this season that has been a bust.
Maldini became a director in 2019 , but Boban was in charge of the sporting department. Boban was Maldini’s boss, Boban was making the final call.
I know you want to neglect that little fact. Also there is in interview where Boban says that he was behind most of those signings in the summer of 2019.
Maldini became the man in charge in the summer of 2020, only and only, after Igli Tare turned down Elliotts offer to replace Boban. Even Elliot didn’t trust Maldini.
And all those regulars that you just named that Maldini signed are about to finish the season out of top 4.
While we still had some of the players from Galliani’s era, from Mirrabellis era, we were getting better. But he lost those for free and we see what “his signings” are capable off this season.
I do like how you snicked in Kessie there to make the number bigger of very few good signings Maldini has made. Unfortunately for you Mirabelli signed Kessie
But hey all of you that defend, tolarrate and praise Maldini’s incompetence, amateurish work and mediocrity, deserve Milan to be out of UCL next season.
Keep defending mediocrity.
Maldini also gave extensions to the coach all of you want fired because of Maldini’s “one” bust mercato
Forza Milan
Even if Boban was behind the signings in 2019-2020, That still means that Maldini was responsible for delivering half of the scudetto squad. It wasn’t under Boban that we won the scudetto, it was under Maldini.
“But he lost those for free and we see what “his signings” are capable off this season.”
He didn’t lose anyone for free. The club, rightly, refused to give into the wage demands of players, as have clubs with far more money than us e.g. Chelsea, Inter and now PSG, who will lose Messi on a free transfer.
Capable of? The semi-finals of the UCL, about 3-4 years ahead of schedule.
CL semi is a fluke. How do we know? Last season we didn’t even make it out of the group and next season we won’t even be in the CL.
So how did we get to the semis? 2nd place in a weak group where a poor Chelsea toyed with us, then we got the worst Spurs team in over a decade, then we did well against Napoli but only with a lot of luck, then Inter beat us as usual. This is not real progress, it’s a flash in the pan.
If we have everyone fit and healthy, we can beat any team, apart from Real Madrid and Man City. Don’t forget Mike was out for 5 months. We would not be in this position had he played all season. After years of buy to loan and cheap signings, we spent most of the budget on CDK and it backfired. Hopefully they learn from this and **** Leeds for making us pay over the odds for him.
“CL semi is a fluke. How do we know? Last season we didn’t even make it out of the group and next season we won’t even be in the CL.”
– Would have qualified from the toughest group without insane refereeing decisions. I’m not going to say errors because one or two severe incidents might count for “an error” but this was systematic terrorism by 3-4 different referees.
So how did we get to the semis? 2nd place in a weak group where a poor Chelsea toyed with us, then we got the worst Spurs team in over a decade, then we did well against Napoli but only with a lot of luck, then Inter beat us as usual. This is not real progress, it’s a flash in the pan.”
Lot of luck. Yeah. Sure. The same luck that brought us the scudetto last year. Luck in 30-40 matches last season. And that same lucky stayed with us against Spurs & Napoli. Nothing to do with how we played and how they played. Sure. Right…
Well said my brother Maldini is our problem
I’m not sure how such an incapable amateur (or amateurs since some people to include Massara in this somehow) can lead a club from no European football to the title. Even if you consider the title last year a “fluke” the season would have been considered a success, because we were not even expected to win the title and instead the goal was a second consecutive CL qualification, which was achieved.
The club has a project in place to BUILD UP and over time become competitive in Serie A and Europe. As it happens, certain goals were achieved ahead of schedule, perhaps this is the actual problem. Everyone’s expectations went up. From club management to the fans. It’s clear that the squad wasn’t ready to handle the pressure of competing on two fronts. We are not supposed to be in a CL semifinal yet.
WE WERE SECOND UNTIL JANUARY. What happened? A number of things: 1. December World Cup. A few players suffered massive dips in form. This includes Leao and Theo, our two stars and Giroud. The WC is emotionally draining, specially if you lose a final. Also remember we were missing Maignan due to injury? HOW IS THIS MALDINI’S FAULT? It’ up to Pioli to motivate the team. 6 more points gained in that month and we’d be in second place right now. 2. We’ve been DISMAL against bottom 3rd clubs, yet we can beat the likes of Juventus, Lazio, Napoli, Atalanta. Can someone explain this? IS IT MALDINI’S FAULT? If we were overall bad against everyone and sitting 7th looking up, then maybe you could say the squad isn’t good enough, but the fact is we’ve been in the top 4 most of the season, usually beating our direct rivals and have been looking down, only dropping out in the last month. THIS IS ON PIOLI. 3. We can’t break down defensive teams. This is why we don’t beat bottom third clubs, Inter or Roma. HOW IS THIS MALDINI’S FAULT? It is on Pioli to figured this out. We didn’t make this signing, or that signing, or didn’t renew this or that player, but we can beat these big teams. How can we beat these big teams and not Cremonese or Empoli or Spezia or Salernitana. This is on Pioli.
Your final point: Pioli’s renewal: Wouldn’t you renew a coach who won you your first league title in 12 years? It’s absolutely childish to say right now that he shouldn’t have been renewed. If crystal balls existed we would have signed Mbappe when he was 10 years old and I would have won the lottery and not been sitting here having to argue against thick people.
I mean, these things happen. Look at Sevilla. Perennial champions league qualifiers, perennial Europa league finalists, so this is a very experienced club with reputable directors (see the famous Monchi) and this season they spent the first half in the relegation zone and are now midtable, but still somehow in the semi-finals of the Europa League. This is not an apples to apples comparison, but an illustration of how a club that usually performs at a certain level can have this inexplicable dichotomy in performance. Are Sevilla’s players this year suddenly trash? Did they lose/sell a bunch of players and not make good replacements? No. The answer is that they shifted coaches. Lopetegui brought them success, Sampaoli did not. Simple. It could just very well be that Pioli is in over his head at this point in this project.
Maldini has done great work and is a wonderful figurehead for our club.
I believe responsibility for this mess is primarily the owners annd also the directors and coach.
In the period you outlined above we also lost
Donnarumma
Hakan
Kessie
Romagnoli
Paqueta
A. Silva
Bonnaventura
Etc etc
Not to mention the targets we missed out on like Alvarez, Martinez, Dybala, Zyech etc etc
Dybala was available for free!!!!
He is exactly the player to unlock these defensive teams.
People like Phildadon1899 on this blog last summer kept arguing that we had a good mercato and Dybala was a bad option because of his wages.
Well look at this mess now. We had the chance to build something great last summer and return to the elite.
INSTEAD WE ARE BACK TO YEAR ZERO!!
Dont expect us to attract any big names this summer, and be prepared to lose some of our top players who will want CL
In Bosnia they said:
You can’t make pie from sh*ts.
Cardinale should start from there, if he thinks to run Ac Milan.
Wooww why Tonali MOTM??!! You see when the center back has the ball, pobega and tonali seem to stay away and are afraid to receive the ball. different from pirlo who always ask and ask for the ball. tonali not pirlo mister. he can only play football with his right foot.
Congratulations to Spezia. A truly deserved win. They simply had more quality.
It’s not surprising really. If the season had started from the new year, we’d be fighting to avoid relegation right now. We have 20 points from 18 matches!
This is now the time when everybody needs to answer from top to bottom, even Pioli, who I don’t think is the main culprit here by the way. His magic wand has finally just stopped working.
Guys don’t worry Milan will win UCL and will still make top 4 just believe me and believe in Milan
Yes bro
Put down the crack pipe homie.
😎👍
It irks me how this team cannot do the basic things match-in match-out and somehow no body from coach to management Seem to be doing anything about it. Pioli has reached his limits as a Milan coach.. this team can’t pass, can’t shoot, players have no clue what to do on and off the ball, that’s got to be a coaching deficiency. Its annoying
Absolutely gutted by this result. Milan has 11 players, and that’s it. Nothing coming off the bench. How are we supposed to compete with the big boys if we lose every time Leao and Giroud are not playing. Totally unacceptable. Get rid of Ballo, Origi, Rebic, Adli, Messias, Pobega, Vranxck, Florenzi, just get rid of them. Get rid of all of these clowns. Roma are strengthening, the top 6 are up there…if we don’t make drastic changes we’ll be lucky to finish in the top 8. This sucks
There’s a lot on the bench but not to the coaches glorious formation, the so called Pobega was flying last season with Torino how come he is now trash? The coaches system isn’t what this players are used to, the coach should adapt a new system to suit the players. Aside Ballo, Bakayoko and dest we a decent bench
…there’s a lot on the bench…I suppose you are happy to proceed with Rebic and Origi in attack…after all the chances they got…we do not have depth…
I agree..the main fault is that he rarely adapts to the players and it’s always that the players have to follow his system.
A player that can’t make a simple pass or get in a tackle cannot blame systems. Pobega was playing consistently and relied upon at Torino. He needs time to adapt. It is normal he is out of sync. Not all players can play well with limited minutes, they are few and far between on a new team. He needs to be integrated slowly but surely. He hasn’t played a full season with many starts and was injured recently. Being asked to start after being injured while other teams are full steam ahead, playing in only one competition, with players fresher than ours would definitely influence his effectiveness. He needs time to make good. We don’t have time, it is do or die, problem is, there are no other options besides him Krunic and Tonali. That forces the coach’s hand. We had a season where all the worst circumstances created by bad decisions from the last 3 years are culminating. We had this team going over their capacities for 2.5 years without receiving adequate reinforcements at the most critical stage of our team building project. That sale couldn’t happen last summer. Worst mistake. It had to be completed going into the summer or put off until later. That decision killed us because they transitioned in a period we needed stability to maintain our momentum and add to the team. They didn’t invest, that is all there is to it, they weakened us when we HAD TO STRENGTHEN OR MAINTAIN OUR TEAM.
100% on the coach. There is no excuse for the way we are playing. It doesn’t matter what the ultimate quality of the squad is. IT IS BETTER THAN SPEZIA, EMPOLI, BOLOGNA, CREMONESE. The players have no idea, no urgency, nothing. This is SQUARELY ON PIOLI. The squad seems beaten before the game even starts. Just flacid.
Pioli is crap!
37% win percentage outside of Milan.
12 teams in 16 years.
Pobega did well at a crap team, but his main limitation is his lack of pace and he’s reckless. Not taking the €10 million or so Torino offered is beyond stupid. Eletu is better. We have a good Primavera, going forward, I hope management tell Pioli he must start introducing them into the first team. Enough with signing unknowns.
What sort of rating is this?
Tomori a 4.5? He should be Atleast a 6.
Why Tonali MOTM, I don’t get it ?
What happened to Kalulu, he’s been a shadow of himself.
Origi and Rebic should quit football , please.
Pobega had no point starting this match, too slow and not tactical.
I can say, Pioli got it all wrong from the start.
Why throw the match at a 50/50 from the start when you can come with your best players available.
I’m TIRED 🥹🥹🥹
Am waiting for the 2guys that abuse me after Lazio win for them to apologise because this is exactly what i said then and it has continue to happen. Beat the big team then drop point against smaller and defensive teams
This is the time for Milan to think of the direction in which Milan is headed.. Pioli has try to his best ability, likewise those in recruitment department, should be clear out.
Pioli is too afraid to go all out attack. What’s the point of having 4 defenders and 3 midfielders for all 90 minutes when we lose every time?
At least with all out attack we have tried winning the game.
He should sub defenders out and put attacher in when we are behind, but he only subs each player with another with the same profile.
I think if Adli is given the chance he will do better than CDK.
Like I dont get Why he has always be left on the bench.
Instead of playing him Milan choose to give it to some player who claims to need more time to settle into the team.
The only players I think does not deserve the europa league is leao, theo and mike
Agreed regarding Adli.
Since I don’t see the quality on the training ground everyday I don’t often comment. But Rebic and CDK have shown their lack of value in games.
Adli should get in more.
We need a youngish #9. Ricardo Pepi from america
In my opinion Giroud does not contributes to Milan attack anymore
I doubt if he will score again this season
To be honest Giroud has been working overtime this season and given his age I don’t blame him that much. Giroud needed rests but Rebic and Origi never deliver when either of them started
It’s not Giroud’s fault, though. He’s 36 and knackered
The most very stupid fellow coach ever miland have is pioli pls pioli get out of the this club and make way for a better life of us maldini I can’t believe you are also a coward can’t you see such of nosens players that you bought for us
After rewatching the first goal, it’s actually interesting to see that it’s basically the exact tactic from Inter’s goal. Tomori is marking someone, another player from Spezia gets in the way and blocks him, and this makes Tomori lose his man. Again.
Aside from the glaring issues with Tomori’s marking, this is another proof than Pioli never learns.
Oh well, That’s all she wrote.
BTW. Tonali gets MOTM only because he at least tries, but he didn’t have a good game. Misplaced pass after misplaced pass. In the 2nd half he had his once a game Shaqtin A Fool moment when he kicked the ball out of bounds with no one pressing him. He also made an awful pass to wide open Brahim that should have been an easy assist, but he kicked the ball so far that Brahim barely got to the ball to hit the post.
The others were not good, we didn’t create a single chance. Spezia was better and they deserved to win.
Only a couple “Radu” mistakes and miracles can save this season
There’s no Leao to attack, now you have turned to Tonali.
Get some rest man.
@Malda still upset because I don’t idolize Leao and don’t have a high opinion of his game like you do?
It’s an article about Players ratings. If you don’t like to read about your idols getting negatively analyzed after a loss and a poor game vs a relegation team, maybe you should get rest and skip reading this article.
Or maybe we should all have low standards and praise our players after a loss like we are Empoli or Lecce fans?
Tonali didn’t have a good game, everyone that watched the game saw that. He was picked as a MOTM because he was just the least worst of the bunch, aka the tallest midget.
I think that goes without saying after such a horror show and everybody knows that. What’s the point in even saying it?
Time for some house cleaning. Starting with Maldini and Massara. They need to be replaced. After recruiting players like Origi, Dest, Vranckx, CDK, Adli, Ballo-Toure, Pobega, Bakayoko and Messias you have put the blame on them because if they had better recruitments we wouldn’t be in such a bad place. These players are horrible and there were better smarter options.
Pobega is not a technical player and he doesn’t fit into the system Pioli plays. I don’t understand why they didn’t sell him to Torino or trade him for Adopo.
It feels as if Maldini and Massara don’t have any logical system for choosing the players Pioli wants.
They are the first that go. They renewed Ibra after the scudetto victory and that should have been his last season.
Now they renewed Giroud and this season really should have been his last season. Why are they so obsessed with these old strikers is beyond comprehension.
We need new sporting directors who can get us the right players who are young, hungry for success and very technical.
Out: Giroud, Kjaer, Ibra, Tatarusanu, Florenzi, Gabbia, Ballo-Toure, Rebic, Origi, Messias, Dest, Pobega, Bakayoko and Vranckx.
Adli needs to be given a chance. I don’t know what he did to Pioli to be treated so badly. I really feel bad for him.
Easy to said, but where’s the money?, i bet that purchase is not what Maldini want. What can you buy with just 50M, and there’s a lot of hole that needs to be patch. If we have money to spend we will not get Difuck Origi
now tell me that primavera guys would play worse than rebic?????????” how many times will u give him a chance???? why never primavera boys who would die on the pitch for team !?!? they are kids, they want to play, rebić doesn’t want to run
Exactly!
If you watch teams with more money and depth than us, like Liverpool, arsenal, even City and Bayern.
They often give playing time to youth team players.
Its utterly baffling that Adli, and primavera players like Bozzolan, Eletu, Cuenca, chaka Traore never play first team.
For sure they would offer more than the donkeys playing
when ur preseason projected LW rebic play as CF , and CF origi as LW , u know that nothing is going as expected, totaly fcked up team,,also why u forcing some formation for which u have no players???? backup plan???? change formation????? 433 without rebic who doesnt want to play, playiing with wrankx or adli instead of rebic in 433 would be 100% better today but our coach have no backup system,he need to lose 10 matches to change formation
Shocked to see Adli come on, but not shocked to see him breeze past defenders and do more in 15 min than CDK all season. Wtf is Pioli’s problem with him?
Heh, when I was writing about primavera….
Imagine that they saved money from Rebic, Origi, Dest, Bakayoko , Vranckx, Adli, Lazetic, Balo Toure, Tatarusanu and bring 10 primavera youngsters. You can bet, they would won more points.
Look at juventus.
And from above mention, you have money for another star similar to Leao.
Next season: —-> mission
Our luck has finally ran out.
When the ‘pass to leao and godspeed’ tactic doesn’t work … The whole team becomes clueless. No plan B. Defense doesn’t know what to do, midfield doesn’t know what to do.. and attack.. well… watching the attack feels like we would be better off with a few wooden logs up front instead of these players.
But then.. leao plays.. The team looks good and smooth, strong enough to beat Napoli in UCL semifinal who were UCL title contenders.
Lets consider that Leao is not in Milan. Is the current Milian team without Leao really worse than Spezia in Quality? or Cremonese? Empoli? Udinese? Roma? Atalanta ?
Even MONZA plays a FAR better and fluid football than us in every way with NO QUALITY In the team. Must Be Maldini’s fault. Wait NO. Add Massara in it as well and fire them both because a certain South African idi_ot didn’t agree to renew a few contracts for 50 cents that god these tu_rds bu_tthurt.
Ret@rds will never learn. These tu_rds wait for Milan to lose to come out of their drains so that they can sh_it on the only good thing that happened to Milan since the ‘banter’ era.
Before someone tries to tell me the players Milan let go for free and the signings not working out, are you expecting low budget signings to become Messi and CR7s? Why? The only failed Signing that I see in this Milan is Origi, it was a gamble that didn’t work. I understand why some of the fans are frustrated with CDK, and I agree, CDK needed to do better. He is 21, a kid who is UNDER PIOLI.. who is historically bad at integrating new players in a team and ended up losing his confidence completely because everyone in the team is outright clueless on what to do. Give the boy some benefits of doubts. I have a feeling he will be the center of Milan next season if we manage to get De Zerbi or at least have a few assistant coaches to Pioli who KNOWS what they are doing when it comes to tactics and technicality because Pioli knows nothing about them when it comes to attack.
Then again.. One question remains.. HOW THE F did defense fall apart without leao? Something is going severely wrong in the dressing room. Theo’s form has gone down. Kalulu has become a nobody. Kjaer has no authority anymore.. Something is seriously wrong.
Forza Milan.
Didn’t Pioli make two youngsters in Tonali and Leao the cornerstones of this Milan?
The problem is not simply this or that. Something is seriously wrong with Milan at a grand level, and it has been since the turn of the year. We’ve been looking like a relegation battling team all year, with some exceptions here and there.
There is nothing ‘seriously wrong’. Pioli doesn’t have the squad to rotate between the UCL and Serie A. We wouldn’t have won Serie A last season had we gone deeper in the UCL. Management know the issues with the squad. They know the gamble on CDK backfired. We should now be debt free. Top 4 or no top 4, it doesn’t matter. It will not really effect the mercato because we don’t have the finances for UCL players and could possibly cash in on Tomori, Thiaw is already better. What we need to get away from is always looking for projects and look more at players who are proven in Serie A. Integrating players from the Primavera is also vital.
Breaking news – Tonali was already bossing at Beas is when he was knee- high to a grasshopper; the only surprise is it look 3 years to get the best out of Leao.
Pioli has been found out, at least since the return from the WC and he wasn’t helped in the last Mercato when Zaniolo was begging to come. At least we would have had some options then in attack. We have relied on a 36 year old impact striker to carry our team upfront and now we see the results coming in.
At the moment, with Pioli at the helm and the probability that there will be no CL next season, we are not a very attractive prospect.
*Brescia
This was absolutely trash performance. Yes Spezia fighting for relegation but the performance was terrible. Timori lost by in the corner cross, Kalulu got owned today badly and Maignan should have partied that second goal. I knew Tonali was MOTM, don’t even need to look at the ratings to know that as they keep overeating him game after game..The subs looked good when they came on.and were hungry. I’ve been preaching about Adli’s poor ability to receive progressive balls based on last year’s stats and it showed. He simply isn’t able to do that well, BUT other than that I think he was great. I really want to know why he wasn’t given a chance. That dribble in the box was superb and he has more confidence than CDK.
I dont know what to say about this one. This isn’t a good sign. Good thing is were only 5th.
Big sham, we don’t have any player for the attack, except Leo, Theo,Maignan, benancer, this are the only player that can call for ball, not even our so call no10, on the beach we have only salemeaker, and Ibrahimovic.
We are the only big team without bench, it’s football but our striker can only play with head, @ this erra we still have Oliver37. I don’t watch Milan when Leo is not playing.
The only good players are the ones big team asking for Leo and co
But what kind of players do you need to beat the 3rd from bottom side? We have those players! It’s the coach who doesn’t have a clue about getting his side to break down smaller clubs! We’ve already seen Pioli highwater marks at Inter and Lazio. December 2022 was his with Milan. Time for a change.
Don’t worry, guys. Leao will take us to the CL final which we will easily win because Pep and Ancelotti are like dumb kids compared to Pioli who is a genius on a higher level than Einstein. That’s why you guys don’t understand his plan! He lost to Spezia on purpose so that Inter would underestimate us on Tuesday. They’ll be shocked when we go into half time 3-0 up. Then in the 2nd half CDK, Origi and Rebic will sub in and absolutely tear Inter’s defense to shreds. Prediction: Milan 7-0 Inter
How pioli you cannot give the adlli playing time adlli is better than cdk
How pioli you cannot give the adlli pileyin time
Even in this tough time , i believe miracle will coming in second leg . Player mentality are broken now . If miracle dont happen and we play europa league next season , i think better change pioli with de zerbi or sarri or nagelssmann. Nagelssmann are good choice but he asking club signing sporting director that support him so we must sacked maldini & massara too. AC Milan must get rid player that already flop on bench like tata, mirante, bakayoko, florenzi, origi, rebic, junior messias, ballo toure. Brahim should return to Real madrid , loan CDK & adili to get playtime . Last we need goal scorer, we are worst on creating goal just depend in leao ,we need striker & RW that can score goal
Get Antonio Conte!!! And give him a solid transfer kitty with a final word on transfers!
No, the subs aren’t good enough to beat teams at the bottom of the league – that’s their level. The bench is poor because our budget went on CDK and because Pioli doesn’t use the Primavera. We’ll be out of Europe on Tuesday. Top 4 will be difficult but not impossible given Lazio’s poor form. As for those complaining about performances, Napoli have been terrible for over a month. Teams with no depth get tired and performances suffer.
sack Pioli. Milan need better coach
Pobega showing nothing, and getting iced out by teammates. Like playing with 10.
Tôi đã nhìn thấy kết quả cả mùa giải sau khi kết thúc kỳ mua sắm mùa hè.
I saw the results of the whole season after the shopping season ended.
Inter knock out Milan in ucl
Inter knockout Milan in top 4
Inter beat milan in super Coppa
Inter will win coppa
They destroyed us completely in 2023 all three games they won easily and Milan looked like Cremonese in the derbies
Couldn’t watch it as it wasn’t on for some reason.
I honestly thought I’d wake up to a positive result and then curse my luck for missing a rare win!
Instead I’m just cursing.
It sounds like it followed a familiar pattern. An early scoring opportunity this time denied by the post instead of an offside. An inch closer and we get an early goal and it’s a different game.
Milan fail to score in the first half, and as the pressure builds up they concede a goal on the break?
Am I right?
If quality is an issue, the issue is players struggling to handle the pressure.
Unless people are saying the Spezia or Cremonese 11 are better than the Milan 11 (whatever combo), it’s not a quality issue in terms of technique or even physicality.
The difference is that the Spezia players are playing without pressure because nobody expects them to win or even draw. Sure they need to win points to stay up but their arithmetic is not dependent on beating the likes of Milan. And that makes a huge difference mentally.
It’s why these games are sometimes far trickier than the big head to heads, especially when these teams drop team and play on the counter. And this Milan especially struggle.
So if there is a lack of quality it’s a lack of mental strength. And judging by the performances of Kjaer, Rebic, Origi and Giroud, it’s not even about experience. This is the advantage of youth players. They can play with the sort of fearlessness and hunger that is essential to beating these teams.
I don’t usually blame Pioi .I always come to defend him most times. But on the introduction of Adli in this kind of game, then I think he is part of the problem too. I don’t know what he and the management plan to achieve with benching Adli. Just like they did to Hauge, maybe they bought him to be sold layer.
Milan issues are difficult to analyse. A lot of factors come into action. Two thing I can say is that our recruitment is at fault, and secondly we are trying to run faster that we can.
Consistent qualification for champion league has been the management goal. But immediately we beat Tottenham, we got carried away and now we are struggling now because technically speaking, we don’t have players to take us this far in the champion league. We just wanted to cut corners and its now backfiring. As the owner is not ready to spend, Consistent champion league would have been generating us money to add qualities to the team year in year out. If we stick to this, we will be able to buy players that can break down smaller team. Creative players and the ones good at set pieces are what we need to solve our problems.
Always blaming the defense. And the forwards? How many goals did we score ?
As I remembered, Adli always play good everytime he has a chance, unfortunately, he has too little to prove himself, overall, he has better skill and played better compared to some of starting xi mid.
Yes, sack Pioli, who won the scudetto before serial bottler Spaletti and before Simone Inzaghi, who has a far better squad. Pioli’s biggest shortcomings are he doesn’t know how to rotate and he’s too slow at integrating new signings, but we are far ahead of where we should be based on the quality of the squad.
Only silver lining i can see from this loss and the embarrassment in the UcL last week is that now its do or die for Milan and the players. They need need to come firing from all cylinders and must be motivated to shut up the haters and show the real red and black
No surprises. Aside the first team, most of the other players are just not good enough. Origi, Rebic, Pobega, Ballo-Toure. The Management expects the coach to work magic with this lot, that won’t happen. We had the Scudetto, Coppa Italia, and Champions league to vie for, and yet, these are the players on the bench to replace the first team players. Injuries are a part of sports, and, it seems as though the Management was not thinking about that. They only wanted the coach to manage. Even if you sack Pioli, what big coach can give good results with this squad week in, week out? This milan squad is pathetic. The first team players are just putting in their best. They are clearly over-worked. We have a crucial game on Tuesday, and, Tonali is allowed to play 90+minutes; it’s madness. He most certainly will gas out against Inter, with the energy he put in against Spezia. What would happen if he was injured in yesterday’s game? Management failure has cost us this season. We had a lot going into the season, and, they didn’t invest. Crazy lot – Elliott & RedBird.
