PM: Elliott more than double the available budget for January with three reinforcements in mind

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s owners Elliott Management are beginning to think big and have allocated some extra funds for the January market, a report claims.

According to PianetaMilan, the target is clear and that is to return to the Champions League, and the feeling is that this team can really do that though they may need some extra help in terms of targeted reinforcements.

It is perhaps games like Sunday’s win over Napoli that demonstrate the situation perfectly. Milan are capable of beating anyone on a good day, but then the injuries to Ibrahimovic and Saelemaekers show the vulnerable depth.

That’s why Elliott has decided to allocate an extra budget of €20million, which is to be added to the unspent money in the last market, which was about another €15m.

That results in a total figure therefore of €35m – an important amount which could result in three new signings. The report adds that the main roles that will be targeted are a central defender, a deputy to Ibra and a midfielder.
