A few months ago, AC Milan considered the return of their former CEO Adriano Galliani to bolster their management, according to a report.

Galliani is someone that (almost, at the very least) every Milan fan knows. He spent 31 years as the CEO of the club, acting as the right-hand man of Silvio Berlusconi, and the Rossoneri won a whopping 29 major trophies during that time.

In 2018, following the sale of Milan in 2017, Galliani and Berlusconi moved on to Monza. They brought the club back to Serie A football, but as Silvio passed away two years ago, the club has now officially changed hands. This leaves Galliani with a decision to make.

Milan evaluated a role for Galliani

According to PianetaMilan, Milan considered bringing back Galliani to strengthen their management, and it was more than just an idea. In fact, it was a concrete suggestion that the Rossoneri held in great secrecy, knowing it would spark a great fuss if word got out.

It wasn’t just a case of bringing back a legend to appease the fans either. Milan evaluated a role with ‘significant operational capabilities’, per the report, knowing that Galliani would be able to make a huge difference with sporting, media and even political matters.

In addition to Galliani, Milan also considered Fabio Capello and Massimo Ambrosini for the role. None of them arrived, for various reasons, one of which was timing as Galliani was focused on the sale of Monza.

Having said that, as the report concludes, it’s something that could materialise in the future. The current CEO, Giorgio Furlani, has a great relationship with Galliani and has also welcomed the idea of adding the new role to the management.

        1. Are u a young fan? Don’t u know about the “Mister X” era ? Right around banter era is what I believe Dez is referring to, courtesy of Galliani Lol 😅

          1. He is a Brugge fan and he’s obsessed with 40 millions euro non negociabile transfer fee for Jashari. He doesn’t know other details from our history 😆😆

    1. If Hamsik did come and that Muntari ghost goal, Milan would have win the league, Zlatan and Thiago Silva wouldn’t have left, and there were no banter Era.

  1. I would prefer Albertini or Capello but Galliani still has political influence and power. Anyone one of them will do as long as we get rid of Furlani.

  2. If the club is serious, it’s Umberto Gandini that should be brought back, he is vast experienced…

    1. The hell are you talking about, Galliani spent 31 years with us, and has been working in the job for more than 40 years.

  3. Blidka fansen? På samma sätt som att ta in clownen Zlatan och tro man har fansen med sig. När säljs klubben till någon som bryr sig om fotboll?

  4. Add a new role to management? There’s no new role

They want a legend, just like Ibrahimovic. The “role” just has the name. It’s probably gonna be someone to be blamed at the end of season? They also use this role to dry up the players, and fight against own Milan people?
