AC Milan and Celtic could discuss a swap deal of sorts when the two teams meet at San Siro on December 3, according to a report.
Di Marzio recently reported that Laxalt’s loan move to Celtic could become a permanent one. The former Genoa man is playing regularly and the positive signs are continuing to arrive, so the two clubs could soon begin talks regarding his future.
Celtic for their part seem convinced by Laxalt, while interestingly Di Marzio added that Milan in the past few months have shown interest in defender Kristoffer Ajer who remains in their sights, suggesting he could also become part of the talks.
According to what is being reported by PianetaMilan, Laxalt could be the right counterpart to land Ajer, and it is an opportunity that directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are studying even if the Norwegian is not the only defensive target.
Relations between the two clubs are excellent, the report adds, and therefore the feeling is that the purchase of Ajer can actually go through if Milan were to push for it, with Celtic safe in the knowledge they could land an important player in return.
