AC Milan have made their stance clear regarding the future of Lorenzo Colombo amid the expectation that Mario Mandzukic will arrive, a report claims.
As PianetaMilan reports, the Rossoneri are set to welcome Mandzukic to the attacking department which on the face of things risks bumping Colombo even further down the pecking order, but for example tonight in Cagliari Ibrahimovic’s current deputies Ante Rebić and Rafael Leão will be absent.
When Mandzukic is ready to play and Rebić and Leão return, the department is likely to be overcrowded, and as such there has been speculation that Colombo could leave on loan to get guaranteed minutes elsewhere and continue to develop.
It cannot be 100% excluded that the teenager does leave on loan, but his intentions are to stay and mature with the Rossoneri, just as the club has not expressed its intention to loan Colombo to another club until June 30th.
In all likelihood Colombo will therefore remain at Milan until the end of the season, attempting to learn as much as possible from Ibra and Mandzukic.
