PM: Milan hold concrete interest in Shakhtar Donetsk winger – contacts with entourage underway

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Tete from Shakhtar Donetsk as an attacking reinforcement, according to a report.

Radio Rossonera reported last month that Milan scouts have laid eyes on Mateus Cardoso Lemos Martins, better known as Tete, who plays for Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine. He made 24 appearances in the league, scoring 6 goals and adding 3 assists.

According to the latest from PianetaMilan, Maldini and Massara’s intention is to secure an upgrade on the right wing and the interest in Tete is concrete. Contacts between the Rossoneri and the player’s entourage have been going on for several weeks as he has all the characteristics they want.

The Brazilian has a contract expiring in 2023 and according to Transfermarkt has a valuation of €20m. The non-arrival of Kaio Jorge – who will join Juventus – could push Milan to focus seriously on Tete because a non-EU spot is still available.

To sign Tete however it would first be needed to sell Samu Castillejo, who has an asking price of around €8m and some admirers in Spain.

    1. Agreed! More bullshit. Players who apparently cost too much and we have no chance to get lol. Yet we can’t get players who cost next to nothing either lol. Fkn sad

  2. I have said it several times
Milan discovers players but other teams buy them
We are just like a scout for other teams

    1. Well said! Moncada does all the work tells them to buy and management says “we have no $$” then another club swoops in and takes him. Fkn terrible
