PM: Milan in talks with Real Madrid over double signing as Ramos urges €12m striker to leave

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have set their sights on Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz once again as they continue to search for a deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

According to PianetaMilan, the Milan management are eager to allow Ibrahimovic to be able to manage his workload moving forward even though the 39-year-old continues to amaze with each passing day, knowing that not even the Swede is immune from fatigue with such a hectic schedule.

That is why the name of Mariano Diaz could come back into fashion. Milan have a fantastic relationship with Real Madrid and have already concluded several deals with them, while talks are currently underway regarding the future of Brahim Diaz too over a possible stay.

Mariano meanwhile chose to stay at Real to play for a spot, but he is finding little space and the most probable hypothesis is a sale in January.

Sergio Ramos – captain of the team – has pushed Mariano to try his fortunes elsewhere and may even have recommended him to Maldini, with whom he has an excellent relationship and talks to often.

The cost would be around €12m, but it must be noted that Lyon are also keen on the 27-year-old, with the knowledge that Memphis Depay is set to leave as things stand.
