PM: Milan turn to Leeds United midfielder after being offered Liverpool man

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to sign a central midfielder during the summer transfer window and they have identified an option in the Premier League, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by PianetaMilan, the Milan management were offered the chance to sign Naby Keïta whose contract with Liverpool will expire at the end of the season, but they do not seem convinced by him.

Instead, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are keen on Tyler Adams who is the captain of the US national team and has been one of Leeds United’s stand-out performers in a difficult season.

This season he has amassed 26 appearances across the Premier League (24) and FA Cup (2). The Yorkshire club paid €17m to sign him last summer but, in the event of relegation to the Championship, they could sell him at a lower price.

Milan are keen on him due to his flexibility too as the 24-year-old can play not only as a midfielder but also on the right both as a full-back and as a wing-back.

  1. Would be an excellent signing but Leeds more than likely aren’t getting relegated and, if they do, they’ll probably either keep him or sell for good money to another English team

  2. This guy is really good quality. However he probably going to stay in EPL. Not sure it would be wise to go find a Leeds RedBull style player. It’s just not the same as what we do.
