PM: Milan likely to baulk at high asking price Man Utd have set for young defender

By Oliver Fisher -

As things stand, it seems difficult to imagine AC Milan paying the asking price that Manchester United have set for Diogo Dalot.

According to the latest from PianetaMilan, the Rossoneri are keen on extending Davide Calabria’s contract – which expires in 2022 – in order to secure one piece of their full-back group moving forward, but another decision will have to be made.

The management will have to decide whether or not to try and sign Diogo Dalot from Manchester United on a permanent basis, given that he is currently on a dry loan until June with no option or obligation to buy included.

If they do want to keep him, it will be necessary to start negotiations with the Premier League side, but United have made it clear that the starting price will be €20million or more. It seems unlikely that Milan will pay such a sum for Dalot, the report claims, also given that his performances have been solid but far from dazzling.

  1. If United have such a high esteem for Dalot, let them have him back. Milan can use the money they are asking for him in a better way.
