PM: Milan open talks with entourage of Brazilian Shakhtar Donetsk winger – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have begun talks with the entourage of Shakthar Donetsk forward Tete over a summer move, according to a report.

Milan were busy during the January window as they signed Soualiho Meite, Mario Mandzukic and Fikayo Tomori for the senior team, but the management is already thinking about the future.

According to PianetaMilan, Milan are hoping to return to the Champions League next season and therefore it will be important to strengthen the quality of the squad. A signing for the right wing is therefore possible as Samu Castillejo is struggling for form.

That is why Milan have had contacts with the entourage of Tete of Shakthar Donetsk. At the moment it is a simple exploratory enquiry, but it does show that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are big admirers of the 20-year-old.

His versatility is a big positive as he can play multiple attacking positions such as attacking midfielder and left winger, but his ideal role is wide on the right. He has a contract expiring in 2023 and according to Transfermarkt has a valuation of €20million.

Since joining the Ukrainian side in 2018, Tete has 15 goals and 12 assists in 63 appearances across all competitions, as per Transfermarkt.
