PM: Milan working to sign a ‘surprise’ playmaker from a ‘huge European club’ – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are at work to secure a signing for the attack that can be deployed in a number of different roles, according to a report.

According to PianetaMilan, the Rossoneri are working on a ‘surprise’ reinforcement for the attacking department, a versatile player able to play on both flanks and as an attacking midfielder.

He would arrive from a huge European club, a guarantee of quality, the report adds. Lucas Paquetà is on the way out and he has so far been the deputy to Hakan Calhanoglu (or often third choice when Bonaventura was fit), but Milan hope to sell the Brazilian for at least €22.5m.

The arrival of this ‘Mr. X’ would in fact complete the group in terms of players who can be deployed behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with at least two players in each position.

Samu Castillejo and Alexis Saelemaekers on the right, Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic on the left, Calhanoglu and the new player in the centre.

PianetaMilan add that in the next few hours, following further checks on the real feasibility of the negotiation, further details will emerge including a name.
