CM: Pobega to face Milan as an opponent for potentially the last time – Maldini’s plan

AC Milan are looking forward to having midfielder Tommaso Pobega back in their ranks ahead of the new season, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com reports that tonight’s game between Torino and Milan will likely be Pobega’s last as an opponent to the Rossoneri, and it will essentially serve as a chance for him to showcase to his parent club how much he has developed.

Torino want to try and renew his loan or even buy him permanently, but Maldini and Massara’s strategy for him has already been clear for some time. He has shown his flexibility under Ivan Juric and has played virtually all roles in central midfield, so the feeling is that he is finally ready to return.

Pobega will be very useful in the UEFA and Serie A squad lists too, adding himself as a piece in a midfield that will lose Kessie and Bakayoko, plus potentially Krunic, but will welcome the arrival of a top player like Renato Sanches. Pobega will have to work hard to earn his spot.
