MN: Politano’s actions in both Napoli-Milan games end up backfiring

By Oliver Fisher -

Matteo Politano does not seem to be a big admirer of AC Milan and his actions over the last two meetings might just have backfired.

MilanNews rewinds the tape to the first game between the sides at San Siro when – after scoring the penalty to make it 1-0 to Napoli – Politano went to celebrate under the Curva Sud with mocking gestures towards the Milan fans.

The Curva do not have a short memory, and the travelling fans last night called Politano a ‘son of a b**ch’, and Politano could not let it slide. Shortly after being brought down by Olivier Giroud, he turned towards the away supporters and repeatedly touches his private parts.

The Milan players who witnessed the scene and who were warming up a few yards from Politano decided not to intervene, knowing that having a heated moment at that time in the match would have been counterproductive.
