Pontedera 1-1 Milan Futuro: Jimenez scores and Raveyre saves penalty in draw

Milan Futuro earned a share of the spoils from their away game against Pontedera this evening, and they have Noah Raveyre to thank.

As a reminder, the Futuro suffered yet another defeat earlier in the week in what has been a difficult debut season for them in the league, losing 2-0 to Pineto at home on Wednesday to continue the relegation fears.

This time around, there was a familiar pattern as the Rossoneri tried to take control of the game from the first minute with possession, but they struggled to get a shot on goal or convert their few half-chances.

The result was that in the 27th minute the home team scored through Italeng following a mistake by Davide Bartesaghi. However, Alex Jimenez took matters into his own hands and equalised almost immediately with a great goal, later coming close to doubling his tally.

In the second half Silvano Cos failed to convert a one-on-one opportunity just before the hour mark, and then the home side got a penalty as D’Alessio committed a naive challenge. However, Raveyre bailed the full-back out by stopping Ianesi’s spot kick.

A hard-earned point was the result, as well as being able to jump out of the bottom three for the time being.

  1. This is one of those things where you’re not sure if it’s the kids’ levels or the coach but one thing we know for sure is Bonerror has never coached anything. We should opt for a coach that knows how to train youth players

  2. No, Ftuto is still among the 3 bottom teams.

However the hey have a game in hand and if they were to win that game, they would go to 15th and leave the relegation zone. Fingers crossed.

Futuro needs to escape relegation at all costs or else it will be dissolved. By rules, second teams can’t play in Serie D. They can only play in Serie C and Serie B. If they drop to D they will have to dissolve and wait a few years before being allowed to register for Serie C again.

  3. Bonera simply isn’t good enough to lead the side. I’m sorry but we spent 40 million building this site. Bonera has had plenty of time and isn’t inspiring. The time is now to replace him.

There is no reason this team should be on the bottom of table.
