Porto have walked away from the proposed deal that would see Santiago Gimenez join them from AC Milan, a report claims.
Gimenez has recovered from the injury he sustained at the World Cup and is now waiting for his future to be defined. It is well known that Ruben Amorim is open to letting him leave, especially after the signing of Goncalo Ramos in a club-record deal.

Various sources claimed that Milan rejected Porto’s initial offer, which was a loan with option to buy set at €15m. That option would become a mandatory obligation upon reaching certain individual objectives.
The proposal didn’t convince the Rossoneri management, who considered it insufficient. They want a paid loan and the buy-out clause to be €25m, or at the very least €20m. Given they bought Gimenez for €32m last January, they want to minimise the loss.
The Rossoneri’s refusal has thus cooled, at least for the moment, the Porto possibility. O Jogo in Portugal report that the Portuguese club have broken off negotiations and that, as of Wednesday, there were no developments regarding the Mexican.
The management – led by André Villas-Boas – have therefore already begun exploring alternatives on the market, with the aim of providing Francesco Farioli with a new centre-forward as soon as possible.

Let them continue breaking-off, they are thieves. The free loan should have ever put Milan off in the first instance.
It is good even if loan is not paid. Later he will be useful like now Chukwueze (for now) or once if he is sold bigger is capital gain.
Going on loan isn’t an issue, but Porto trying to set the terms in their favour is the issue.
