There has been talk about Porto making an opening offer for Santiago Gimenez, yet denials have followed quickly.
After a season plagued by an ankle issue and with zero league goals to his name, Gimenez could already be at the end credits of his Milan adventure despite having only joined in the 2025 winter transfer window.

On Thursday, a report from Deportes Total MX in Gimenez’s home land claimed that Milan and Porto are progressing constructively in negotiations over the striker, with coach Francesco Farioli placing him at the top of his shopping list for next season.
The deal is described as being at an advanced stage, with the possibility of a significant sale for Milan: €28m plus an additional €7m in bonuses. They added that the Rossoneri are open to his exit, while Gimenez is understood to like the destination, with a distance of less than €10m between the clubs.
Porto deny bid
Now, however, Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on the notion that things are advancing rapidly between the Portuguese and Italian giants.
“Porto deny it. President Villas-Boas and everyone involved at Porto are making clear they are not negotiating for Santi Gimenez.Today Porto deny having made offers or having started negotiations,” he said (via Football Italia).
“From Gimenez’s point of view, it is clear that if another attacker arrives, there will be movement on his exit. But not to Porto at this moment.” As Romano would go on to reveal, that striker arriving could be Goncalo Ramos, with a package worth over €50m offered.
Didn’t make much sense at the figures quoted; after last year I don’t expect a club to gamble over 20M on him (unless they’re English).
But the sad part is, I think it would work out great if they did. Santi obviously needs some of the confidence back he had at Feyenoord and being in a very strong team in a weak league should allow him to do that. Probably the sort of club we should consider loaning to, rather than a mid-table English one where he’ll struggle for consistent minutes and chances.
Perfectly happy if he stays with us, but I fear he’s just not going to get the confidence he needs with us any more.

Please refrain from using dehumanising language like ‘parasites’.
Just because they haven’t excelled for Milan (in a team in which many have not) doesn’t mean they’re not people.
Each of those you mention is fulfilling a contract that was offered to them, doesn’t say anything bad about the club or its fans and has achieved a lot (in relative terms; I’m not saying it’s right how much people can get paid to kick a ball) to get to where they are today.
He also constantly refers to Gimenez as “mexican Gimenez”.
He’ll end up somewhere on a loan with option deal
It is smart to stop selling players for peanuts.
We can say about American approach everything bad but at the end every player cost Milan hugely.
So first question is, are Milan going to have positive balance sheet for 2025 2026 season?
If yes, sales are not necessary…
They can count on 20+ million from Europa league and it is inevitable that some sales must happen, this or that way.
So difference of money that is necessary for 2026 2027 season balance sheet, can be always reached by looking how far new team will go in the season and the sales untill 30th June of 2027.
So selling Santi or requesting 30+ for him is realistic. He is pleyer on which Milan can turn around money because of his age.
