A Portuguese journalist has claimed that the father of Rafael Leao has given positive updates regarding the renewal of his son with AC Milan.
David Noto – who works for Record and is a reputable journalist when it comes to football in Portugal – was interviewed by TMW about the current state of affairs related to Leao, whose deal with the Rossoneri expires in June 2024.
Noto began by claiming that ‘every report about him leads us to think that he will renew’, which is certainly a positive opening. He added that Recprd ‘recently spoke with his father’ and it seems that ‘the conversations are going in the direction of renewal and I think he will’.
Even if Leao were to extend his deal, it ‘doesn’t mean that he will stay for life or for long’, but instead the mission is to get him to extend and in the future the winger ‘will bring a lot of money from a big Premier League club’.
It will be a ‘jackpot’ for Milan because if they renew his deal and he keeps up such a high level, his sale will ‘earn the Rossoneri over 100 million’ in the future.
