It seems Massimiliano Allegri has decided on his team for AC Milan’s game against Lazio tomorrow night.
There have been a few doubts in the run-up to this weekend’s game. Christian Pulisic and Alexis Saelemaekers were doubts in midweek after both suffered injuries in training. Since then, the Belgian has been cleared. However, Pulisic will be absent for this game.
Then, on Friday morning, it seemed that Allegri had a few doubts remaining over his team, but they are gone now, it seems.
Allegri’s team
According to MilanNews, the defence will remain unchanged. They have been in fine form, so there is no need to shift anyone. Mike Maignan, then, will start behind the bank of Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlovic.
Saelemaekers, despite the scare, will start again on the right, whilst Davide Bartesaghi has won the battle again, so he will start on the left, keeping Pervis Estupinan on the bench. Youssouf Fofana remains in the middle, alongside Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot.
Then, Rafael Leao will lead the line, and he will be partnered by Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman has only started two Serie A games so far, and will look to make an impact in a rare start.
Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Nkunku, Leao.

He won’t; he’s definitely injured. Another muscle injury. This one is said to be not serious and will result in one or two games missed. Fingers crossed. They said the same of Rafa but it turned out that the lesion was poorly diagnosed and he stayed out for a month and a half.
I’m worried that Modric is getting no rest. And I wish Fofana would not start. Allegri should give Ricci and Jashari a chance as starters.

You are not a milan fan really want to bench Fofana coach no how important he’s not because he’s not scoring but he helps balance the midfield
Ig coach wanna use physical player to win duels. Jashari and ricci are still in progress of raising their physical and fitness level.
Ricci has already started several matches and was largely disappointing. He could not replace Rabiot, and he cannot replace Fofana either. Allegri sent him immediately to the bench when Rabiot came back. What do you see that Allegri seems to be missing?
If fofana was no good coach would’ve bench him already the coach know how important he’s not because modric and Rabiot having a better start to the season you guys want to bash fofana he run alot in midfield win back alot of balls so don’t think the coach is and idiot he knows what he’s doing
Agree with you 100%. Fofana is having a solid season and Milan look more dominant with him in there. Not sure why people prefer Ricci, he goes MIA for long periods and does nothing really impactful
What wurlboss is saying is true. Allegri is a top coach, having access to all the data and seeing the players daily. Therefore he is best qualified to makr the best decisions. Its the same way he as an insider knew that pulisic is injured before we knew. I personally find fofana to be crap this season so far. He only stepped up for certain big games but he almost lost us the roma game single handedly. Yet ricci has not been more impressive than him. Ricci is light weight and easily bullied off the ball. Ricci is not imposing though he may have a better first touch and passing range than fofana. I was not impressed with ricci at all. Jashari is just coming back from injury so we have a long wait before he becomes match fit enough to be fit for the toughest games. This isnt preseason nor friendly matches. These are serious season deciding matches. Who are we to think that we know better than allegri?
