MN: Predicted Milan XI vs. Torino – Allegri makes bold change up front

AC Milan are preparing for their game against Torino tomorrow night, and it appears that Massimiliano Allegri will make a few changes.

After the loss to Lazio last weekend, it is not a surprise that Allegri is considering switching thing up a little. His strikers are not in form, and there has certainly been a bit of a drop in performances recently.

So, with the need to avoid a slip, which could significantly harm his team’s chances of the Champions League, he is going to be proactive, and alter his starting XI for the game against Torino.

Defensively, things will remain the same, with Mike Maignan being supported by Fikayo Tomori, Koni De Winter and Strahinja Pavlovic, as MilanNews reports. Davide Bartesaghi will also return at wing-back, after being absent with injury. On the opposite flank, Alexis Saelemaekers is almost immovable at this point.

Despite the suggestions of a change in midfield, Youssouf Fofana has won the battle against Samuele Ricci, so he will start alongside Luka Modric, and the returning Adrien Rabiot.

Leading the line, this morning’s suggestions about Niclas Füllkrug appear to have been correct, with him in line to start this game ahead of Rafael Leao. The decision, reportedly, is unrelated to last weekend’s episode. Christian Pulisic takes the other forward role.

Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Pulisic, Füllkrug.

  1. Any normal team (outside of Italy) would have Nkunku-Fullkrug-Pulisic up front with a few young forwards/wingers from the Futuro (remember them?) on the bench.

    1. Your right, not even outside Italy, some Coaches that has balls here can still do it. Rubbish! Always defending. How could you defend against Torino? How could you? And you said you want to win the league

      1. Agree with you Aliyu 💯, Allegri is a trash coach, if Ac Milan wants to win trophies then they must sack him, Attack is the best form of defense, but for Allegri defense is the best form of attack, rubbish coach.

    2. And yet Allegri who doesn’t seem to understand anything has this team in second place with 9 games to go playing 2 up front…

I’m not saying he’s faultless this season but Maybe, just maybe he’s looking a the whole picture.

  2. I think Allegri should have stuck with Fullkrug and Puli pairing since the positive showing at Fiorentina. We all know Puli missed some great chances during that match but the fact is great chances were made! And there is ZERO chemistry between Leao and CP11.

  3. Thank you for adding captions to the photos. They’re wonderful and it looks more professional now. Terrfic.
