CM: Premier League side definitively joins race for Milan forward Leao

By Euan Burns -

Premier League side Manchester City have fully joined the race to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan in the summer with his contract extension yet to be agreed,  a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the Premier League champions are now very serious about bringing the Portuguese forward in this summer.

Up until this point, Chelsea were the team that had made their interest in Leao the most clear, but they are now in direct competition with City. Pep Guardiola is thought to be a big admirer of the former Lille and Sporting CP player and he is one of the main names on their list of transfer targets.

Both Chelsea and City are in the group of clubs that can offer wages that Milan can not even dream about, meaning it will be near impossible to keep Leao this summer unless a deal is signed swiftly to extend his contract.

  1. AC Milan average 2.3 points per match with Rafael Leão in the team and 0.7 without him.

They score 1.8 goals per match with him and 1.3 without him.

They create 1.8 counter-attacking chances with him and 0.5 without him.

BUT according to @bb – who needs him right??? @bb didn’t you say we should sell him for 40M??😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

    1. If we’d sold him already we’d gotten Kvaradona who is actually a more complete player and we’d won the scudetto with him too but there wouldn’t be a team disrupting drama about the renewal.

And it’s absolutely hilarious that you still don’t understand after all these years that 40M€ still is better than 0€.
