GdS: Premier League return could materialise for Milan forward after disappointing season

By Oliver Fisher -

Divock Origi’s struggles at AC Milan continue with each passing week and the possibility of a summer exit cannot be excluded, according to a report.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote about the disappointment of the Belgian trio against Bologna which included Charles De Ketelaere and Aster Vranckx, and how it is natural to wonder what their future will be in the summer.

Origi and the club have made it known that they want to continue together but the questions regarding this are legitimate, considering that the former Liverpool man has a contract with a salary of €3.5-4m per season.

A destination in the Premier League, outright or on a loan deal, seems a logical hypothesis in the event that Milan and the player decide it is best to go separate ways. Origi has scored just twice since arriving, having battled a number of physical problems.

  1. Serie A is a difficult league for strikers who always try to make things happen on their own. Italian defenses are too suffocating for that type of player. Giroud adapted quickly and is always looking to get rid of the ball so he can move into open space. Origi just doesn’t seem to understand this and thinks that everytime he gets the ball he needs to try to dribble or get a shot off.

    Times up.

  2. Origi did not fit with the rest of team and it is in the best interest of both the club and himself to part ways! The disappointment is quite evident and grass fresh pasture might do him well! Best of luck for the future wherever it might be!

  3. told u many times that this will be a huge flop, fed by salah, mane, taa and so on ….and then by saladmaker ….was super clear for me. Another wasted 4moi which we could spend in 3 teenagers
