AC Milan Women will play their first game of the Serie A Femminile season today, taking on ACF Fiorentina. The last time these two played was on March 27th and Milan won that game 2-0.
Overall, the Rossonere have the advantage over the Viola as they’ve beaten them four times, lost three times, and have drawn two games.
The match-up will have several familiar faces between both teams, as Verónica Boquete will be playing for la Viola after leaving Milan. Francesca Vitale and Laura Agard will also be playing for the Tuscan side, while Alia Guagni, the Viola’s former captain, will be suiting up for Milan.
This game will be remarkable for several reasons, most notably for the fact that it will be the first time that the Rossonere will be playing as professionals. New signings Kosovare Asllani and Kamila Dubcová are also expected to take the field for Milan during this match.
