AC Milan’s Primavera side were handed their first defeat of the season and it came in the UEFA Youth League against Paris Saint-Germain.
As the precursor to tonight’s meeting in the Champions League between PSG and Milan, the youth teams squared off at the Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre this afternoon.
Ignazio Abate’s side created chances in both halves and were the side that looked most threatening throughout, with Diego Sia in particular missing a couple of big opportunities, but a long-range effort from PSG’s Mayulu in the first half ended up being the decisive goal.
It is a first loss of the 2023-24 campaign across any competition for Milan Primavera, who won their first two Youth League games but drop to second in the table behind the Parisians, with both teams having now won two of three.
The return fixture will take place on the day of Milan-PSG on November 7.
