As Il Giornale (via MilanNews) writes today, Maignan has become a pillar of Milan on the field with his match-saving interventions but also off the pitch where he is a leader in the dressing room.
When he was only 20 years old PSG sold him to Lille for the modest sum of €1m, and there was already some regret when he became their starting goalkeeper and won Ligue 1 in the 2020-21 season.
The Rossoneri then signed him for a figure of €15m to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma and Maignan has so far proven to be even more decisive than the Italian, who ended up at PSG ironically.
The Parisians would be willing to offer €80m to re-sign Maignan but Milan consider him unsellable and – together with Leao – the most decisive player in the entire squad.
