The rumours regarding Rafael Leao’s future will not go away and it seems Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to show an interest in landing him.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), PSG have chosen Leao as the man they want to sign to reinforce the attacking department given that they are very likely to lose Lionel Messi at the end of the season.
The Ligue 1 champions are ready to pay the €150m release clause which is present in the contract of the Portuguese winger, but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to try and agree a renewal with Leao before next summer.
However, there are plenty of obstacles standing in the way of that too as the player’s entourage are asking for €7m net per season to extend and also for the club to contribute in some way to the payment of the €19m fine imposed on the player after he terminated his deal with Sporting CP in 2018.

Leao is a rare player. The one who can make an impact and difference. Something we missed for the last 11-12 years. But if the Milan management still insist on the rigid salary cap, and the player agent keeps playing roulette, then it’ll be best to part ways for both parties. I didn’t state the player’s willingness and desire, as it holds no value in these current days.

Remeber Kessie? Milan raised their offer and then the agent raised the demand. They did that a couple of times.
So it’s not all on Milan’s management to find the agreement. It takes two to tango and I’m sure Mendes wants Leao to leave so therefore he leaves. Even if Milan did offer exactly what Mendes asks for.
Leao, unless resigned, will be a free agent in 18 months.
No club out there , not even PSG, is going to pay his release clause of 150 mil. They know Milan has no leverage .

PSG was willing to pay 80M€ for Skriniar. 80M€ for a “slighty-above-average” CB vs MVP of last season? I’m sure PSG would/could pay something like 125M€ for Leao but not the full 150M€. No one ever said PSG’s transfer policy was sane.
And Skriniar is on his final year of his contract if you didn’t know.

Yes sold him for 150M euros, and i hope we can buy Kvica of Napoli. He was at out radar in summer transfer but we made CDK as the top priority first and too late to complete Kvica’s transfer.
Maldini is trying to buy him before, when he is play for rubin, but they want 20M and later they sold him only 8M to Dinamo
If the choice Maldini makes is keep him and not extend then we need to slap Maldini because another player lost on a free is unacceptable

IF Leo signs for PSG he is just as stupid as Dollarumma – players needs to remember that they are leaving a legacy and they need to manage that legacy throughout their career. Remember Veratti, what has he done? Does anybody care? He is probably one of the better midfielders in the game – but he lost his career by going to PSG – nobody cares about him today, dollarumma will be in the same situation if he stays – PSG is not good for any player’s career. You only go there to make money. Neymar (who cares about him now), Messi (who cares about him now), Hakimi (who cares about him now), Sanches (who cares about him now), Veratti, Dollarumma, etc…… They only one that has some form of impact beyond PSG is Mbappe- and he wants to leave! Dont do it Leao!
