GdS: PSG want €40m Sassuolo star but Milan offer more guarantees in their project

Paris Saint-Germain have Gianluca Scamacca in their sights but AC Milan are offering him a central role in their plans, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), PSG’s new technical director Luis Campos has a strong interest in the Italian striker but there is a crowding of forwards at the Ligue 1 champions which certainly means there is a risk of him finding less playing time.

Milan meanwhile will go into the new season with Olivier Giroud and Divock Origi, so Scamacca would be the new gem to grow as Pioli has shown he can do with young players in the last two and a half years. To date, Sassuolo are asking for at least €40m, but it is an amount that could be lowered with the inclusion of counterparts like Lorenzo Colombo, Daniel Maldini or Marco Nasti.

Scamacca’s profile could perfectly match the game system of Milan and Pioli as he is used to playing in a 4-2-3-1, is a centre-forward by trade, has size and also excellent technical qualities which allows him to facilitate the build-up play and he could learn how to master the craft from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Giroud.
