AC Milan continue to search for reinforcements on the transfer market even after the completion of several moves, from Pierre Kalulu to Brahim Diaz and most recently Sandro Tonali. One of the objectives is also to reinforce the defence and in this sense, a right-back is also on Maldini’s wishlist.
One of the supposed targets to reinforce the right side of the defence is also PSV’s Denzel Dumfries, who has been linked with a move for the San Siro on several occasions in the last couple of months.
However, given the financial difficulties in world football in the post-Coronavirus era, as well as the lack of sales in Milan’s defensive department, it is unlikely that a deal like this could go through, seeing as the Dutch side value the player at around 20 million euros
Moreover, the club itself has now confirmed, via coach Roger Schmidt, that the right-back will stay at the club.
“Dumfries will remain with us at 100%, at least this season,” Schmidt said in the press conference before PSV’s match against Groningen (via Milannews.it).
