The public debate phase of the new stadium project will soon get underway with AC Milan and Inter hoping for the right answers.
Today’s edition of Corriere di Milano (via MilanNews) writes that the public debate will be coordinated by Andrea Pillon of Avventura Urbana Srl and there will be 10 meetings in 40 days with both citizens and engineers.
This will be followed by a final report to be delivered to the Council and to the teams who will in turn have another two months to validate it. The debate should open in mid-September, but first an updated version of the project is needed from the clubs which has the changes requested in November by the Council, then once validated they will be sent to the National Commission for Public Debate at the Ministry of Infrastructure.
Then, the commission can give the green light for the beginning of the public debate. In the first of the meetings there will be the presentation of the project delivered by the teams, the second will focus on the economic feasibility of the entire project, the third on the reasons for the new stadium, the fourth on the social impact on neighbourhoods and the city in general and the fifth will address environmental issues.
