Christian Pulisic missed a penalty for AC Milan in their 2-1 defeat against Torino last night. Today, the American published a message on social media for the fans, effectively apologising for not converting the chance.
It was in the 31st minute that the referee pointed to the spot, following a handball on a Torino defender, and Pulisic stepped up to find the equaliser for Milan. However, his strike was denied by the goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, who made a good stop.
It’s a miss that proved costly for Milan as they had to wait deep into the second half for an equaliser, at which point there was less time to work with. On his Instagram account today, Pulisic published a message for the fans and admitted that it has been a really tough week.
“Really tough week. Hate letting down this amazing fan base. Will give everything to finish this season on a positive note,” he wrote.

Bologna are up next for Milan and Pulisic will surely play from the first minute, especially since the game is scheduled for Thursday and not Tuesday or Wednesday (more time to regain fitness).
Muchos culpan a CONCEICAO pero!!! Saben cuantos años pasaron para tener otra copa!!! (SUPERCOPA!!!) AÑOS!!! pero con jugadores ESTÚPIDOS!!! (GABBIA, MUSAH, MIKE, THEO) NOOOO FUNCIONA NADA!!! Yo de el(CONCEICAO) me voy!!! Y los dejo a estos inmaduros estúpidos
Puli, you don’t need to apologise. You are a reliable penalty taker, even this one was ok, with speed and very low. GK was just incredibly fast. We‘re cursed. Stick together and when we are through that nightmare, we‘ll have a lot of celebrations awaiting us. Just don’t make the mistake of throwing everything away.
Agreed. One of the few players who can hold their head up this season.
This.
The penalty was not bad. It was just an excellent save. The problem is Milan played very slow, just back passing. They need to switch wing quickly to break down. Maignan gifting goal left and right not helpful either.
Had Leao ever apologized for inconsistent performances and failures? No.
#Leadership.
Leao is actually a very consistent player.
1 good game, usually vs a relegation team, followed by 5 bad games. He has been like that his entire Milan career.
It’s not the consistency Milan fans are looking for, but nevertheless, it’s consistent.
Words of truth.
Serie A teams worked him out a long time ago – put two players on him and he passes back – suits his lazy game – we should have sold him last summer
I don’t understand this team any longer, we cannot blame the coach, when we have a penalty,we will find a way not to score it,then the opponent gets 2 chances and they will always score against Milan, these are bunch of careless footballers who have submitted themselves to pure bad luck…
The problem with this guys is they lack leadership the bad player has corrupt the the new boys, leao should please leave Milan he’s very slow and his slowness allow the opponent to recover strength
You don’t have to apologize, just give your 100%. And one more favour from you please..I need you to tell Cardinale to out from Milan and bring all director and advisor.
Forza Milan
Nice gesture. However it is very clear from a million kilometres away that pulisic these days is not the pulisic of say 3 months ago – he seems drained and out of form, much less sharp and actually looks unhappy on the pitch. Am i wrong?
Pulisic under Fonseca was a beast tbh.
