Christian Pulisic has admitted that AC Milan are continuing to dig themselves a hole by going behind in the first half of games.
Milan went into the game against Dinamo Zagreb knowing that a win would definitely be enough to secure a spot in the top eight and thus gain direct qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League.
However, they lost to a side that in the end did not even get into the play-offs, which is what the Rossoneri will have to go through. Credit must be given to Dinamo, who won 2-1 thanks to goals in each half, yet questions must be asked of Sergio Conceicao’s side again.
Pulisic is one of the few who can hold their heads high after an abject performance, given that he levelled the game early in the second half. That came after his compatriot Yunus Musah had seen red for two silly yellow cards.
The winger spoke to reporters in the mixed zone while exiting the Stadion Maksimir after the defeat last night, and his comments have been published by MilanPress.
“We always struggle in the first half and after that it’s not easy to get the game back on track. We also expected a different start, but I can’t explain it, I don’t know,” he said.
“They [Dinamo Zagreb] had a good game plan and they executed it well: they have quality and they took advantage of their opportunities.”
Morale seems to be at an all time low. This defeat might be the nail in the coffin for this season. Players have given up, Inter may put more than 3 goals into our net and fully destroy the players mentally. They need a sport psychologist or a therapist not kidding. There is fractures within the team and interpersonal tensions that are growing deeper and its showing. TBH i dont know how this team will even reach conference league next year and even go further in UCL and Coppa Italia. I think we will see a total destruction, with Leao, Theo, Maignan, Tijjani, and Pulisic leaving this club in the summer.
If they all would leave… you realise how much money that would generate lol.
I can see Theo and tij both replaceable. ‘Mike no, Leo no, pulisic no
Yes it would generate a lot of momey and the management may want to Do this given the amount of “lost” revenue from not qualifying to European Comps next season and not going further in UCL and Copa this year. However, this generated money will most likely only cover our costs, leaving little profit and little left over money to buy big name players. Leading us to the cycle of buying young or unproven players and become a mediocre team
Do you know how much this players earn that should be a motivation anyone not motivated bench him you lose that’s not the end of the world move on to the next one and try to do better more
Additionally, Milan now needs to play two more UCL games in an already packed Serie A schedule, and they will have to play the Bologna game at the end of February. All the while, management has only brought in Walker while our midfield is exhausted, causing many of our goal leaks, and our attack has simply stopped working. February is going to see Milan fall down the Serie A table, see us eliminated from Copa and UCL.
AC walking dead ,thats how they play ,give them some milk they can’t run
From reality there is a problem, but everyone is clueless.
Maybe milk will solve the problem. 😄😆🤣😜
We have 2 or 3 captain in this team Calabria-(scudetto), Walker (premiere & UCL), Morata (world cup). Should be enough to build mentality and warm in the dressing room. Just need senior coach and board director with rosonerri blood inside. Not buying young and free player the sale in the next 1 or 2 years. Only profit and money in cardinales capitalist head.
This season end before the end of season.
Y’all leave Pulisic out of any sort of drama. He is one of very few that’s trying all the time. A real captain imo.
Agreed. He’s been their best player in many of their games this season.
Why does it seem like when Pulisic scores fiew teammates celebrate like when Leao and other do?
Anti-American sentiment IMO.
I agree, this is strange. Pulisic scores goals, but for some reason recently others aren’t celebrating with him. Maybe there’s a locker room issue. Or maybe it’s just that Pulisic seems to score the goal that gets the comeback started, not the one that puts us over the top. So it’s not a “joyful” moment but more of a “relieved” moment and time to go get another goal.
