A game devoid of much quality, Milan needed to earn their value against Lecce on Friday night, and they did that. After two disallowed goals and then Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s header, the Rossoneri were on their way to three points, it seemed.

However, a late goal from Pulisic surely rounded things off, with the American being played through on goal and then slotting past Falcone. A big goal.

Pulisic wasn’t played through on that goal.
It was a long, high ball from Maignan, and after bouncing off the ground, one of the Lecce defenders, who was much taller than Pulisic, managed to get his head on it, apparently intending to head it to another Lecce defender.
But Pulisic was able to cut in on the other Lecce defender and steal the ball. He immediately raced towards goal and shot the ball into the near post, past the Lecce GK.
