Pulisic admits he is ‘having fun’ but stresses Milan must go ‘one game at a time’

By Oliver Fisher -

Christian Pulisic admitted that he is having fun out on the field since he joined AC Milan as he netted the opening goal in tonight’s win against Lazio.

The American winger scored the goal that broke the deadlock in the match against Lazio in the second half, just as he scored the opener in the first home game of the season against Torino, firing in Rafael Leao’s cut-back.

It sent Milan on their way to a third league win in a row after those against Hellas Verona and Cagliari, momentarily jumping to the top of the table alone, awaiting the result of Inter’s match this evening against Salernitana.

Pulisic spoke to DAZN after the game to reflect on the game and his third league goal of the season, with his words relayed by MilanNews.

“From the first half we put a lot of pressure on them, we pushed hard and the goal was only a matter of time. We finally scored it, from then on it was a great performance,” he said.

How do you feel with your new team-mates?

“I haven’t been here long, but we’re getting to know each other well. I’m having fun.”

Do you have a target in terms of goals?

“I don’t want to say the number, but I want to score or help people score as many as possible. I hope many more goals come.”

Does the team have the potential to win the Scudetto?

“We have to take it one game at a time. If we do this we have a good chance of winning. Today went well, we’re already thinking about the next game.”
