AC Milan continued their good recent run in the Derby della Madonnina, beating their city rivals 1-0 at San Siro on Sunday night.
The only goal of the game came through Christian Pulisic early in the second half as he buried a rebound from Alexis Saelemaekers’ shot. Milan had Mike Maignan to thank though, as he made stunning saves from Lautaro Martinez and a Hakan Calhanoglu penalty to secure the win.

The victory – a fourth in the last six meetings with Inter – has an added bit of sweetness: it means that Milan have leaped above their cousins and move into second place. They are two points behind the league-leaders Roma, and the positive record against teams at the top continues.
