AC Milan star Christian Pulisic will miss this summer’s Gold Cup with the USA National Team, due to his club comitments, according to reports.
It has been a big year for Pulisic, who has often been the man for Milan. However, it seems that this has caught up with the attacker, who is now feeling the effects of his efforts this season, and beyond, in fairness.
According to FOX Sports sources, the American is in line to break his career best for minutes in a season, as long as he takes the field for 49 minutes or more this weekend against Monza, which you would expect him to do.
As a result of such a season, ‘Captain America’ will not be a part of his national team’s squad for the Gold Cup taking place this summer.
The report states that he is ‘physically beaten up’ after two ‘back-to-back marathon seasons’ which have left him needing a break, which this summer can give him. Furthermore, it seems the decision was made in line with his desires to star at the 2026 World Cup, which he does not want to risk.
It is a win for the Rossoneri, probably, as it means they will have a fresh Pulisic for next season. That is, of course, if he does not leave.
