Longo: Pulisic ‘open’ to Roma move with admiration for the project – the latest

Yesterday, it was reported that Christian Pulisic was a target for AS Roma and the AC Milan star is interested in the move.

It has been a difficult six months for Pulisic; there can be no denying that. For Milan, he has had minimal impact and stories about his professional and personal life have been repetitive. However, he has also had the pressure of hosting the World Cup on his shoulders.

As the poster boy of American football, there has been plenty to contend with in his mind and that is without thinking about the renewal offer waiting from Milan.

Yet, it has not only just emerged. Indeed, it has been on the table for around 18 months now and there has been no progress. Of course, this has led to suggestions that he may be open for an exit, we’ll have to see.

Pulisic open to Roma

Premier League interest has been the main threat so far, or at least so it seemed. Yesterday, Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo reported that the American was a ‘concrete target’ for Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma.

Now, the journalist has followed it up on his X, stating that the forward and his entourage is ‘open’ to discussions about a move to the capital. In fact, he ‘likes’ the project offered by the Giallorossi and Champions League football would be a pull.

  1. No, give Pulisic a new contract with us and let some competent people take over our club.

We can’t sell everyone and especially not for low prices and to rival teams in the same league.

Cardinale not having an active plan b when he fires everyone is making him look like a noob.
Get rid of Ibra and Kirovski now.

    1. Gerry! Just a friendly advice, when u are gonna build the stadium build it for 10k people. Good luck genius! We are winning

  2. If Pulisic keeps playing at the level he has shown the last three games some EPL teams will make offers. I am of the opinion that ACM will still feel the effects of Allegri ball with several players leaving- Leão and Pulisic. Say what you will about Ibra, but he was right about Allegri. I also saw it coming. But tbh, I thought when they hired him ACM would finish 4th.

    1. The players got tired of Allegri, especially when he requested Pulisic and Leao to be sold. Allegri actually was the problem and Off-course the management

    1. I don’t see him leaving Milan especially when Leao leaves and he gets the lw. I think all this is to just raise his contract offer. He definitely won’t go to anywhere in Serie A. Milan need to appoint a SD and gaffer asap.

      1. I do. ACM is a hot mess. The new coaches talked about don’t use wingers. He’s been through these manager changes before and they didn’t turn out well him. Imagine Roma with their beast #9 and Greenwood and Pulisic out wide.

        1. In a Gasp system where is off ball movement is built in to the system.

That would be fun to watch.

Alas. I cannot find my way to a “fun” watch next season with ACM.

I’ll do my duty, but not planning to be all “wow” and “gee whiz golly”.

    1. Don’t think Roma would even pay the realistic value. What Schick was € 42 mil and he was the most expensive transfer in club history. Tammy was € 40 and neither of these big price tags players paid off so I don’t think they’d fork out the dough.
